The Waterloo East Apartment is a beautifully decorated, 754 square foot, 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom dwelling (one of the bathrooms is an en-suite to the master bedroom). There are 2 Queen-sized beds, and the apartment can house up to 6 guests at once.

The spacious living room boasts a dining table with 6 chairs, two sofas, and a coffee table. The kitchen comes complete with all modern amenities, including a dishwasher, a washing machine, and a microwave, and, of course, all pots, pans, and crockery, which will enable you to self-cater as desired.

    Waterloo is a district of London, England, and part of the London Borough of Lambeth. It is situated 1 mile (1.6 km) east of Charing Cross. The area is part of a business improvement district known as Waterloo Quarter, which includes The Cut and the Old Vic and Young Vic theatres, including some sections in the London Borough of Southwark.

    The area was marshland towards the northern tip of the ancient parish of Lambeth. It was known as Lambeth Marshe, but was drained in the 18th century and is remembered in the Lower Marsh street name.

    Waterloo is connected to the Strand area on the north bank of the River Thames by Waterloo Bridge. The first bridge on the site was opened in 1817 and the current bridge was opened in 1945. The bridge was named to commemorate the Battle of Waterloo in 1815. Waterloo Road also dates from this time, built on land belonging to the Archbishop of Canterbury. The Church of St John the Evangelist, Waterloo Road was constructed from 1822 by the Commissioners for Building New Churches as the population of the parish of Lambeth had significantly increased. After the opening of Waterloo railway station in 1848 the locality around the station and Lower Marsh became known as Waterloo.

      Exactly what we were looking for. Loved the convenience of security punch codes rather than keys. We were able to check in late at night after a train ride from Edinburgh. Make sure your confirmation letter indicates exact address. Ours did not, but we were able to reach the booking office right away to get the information we needed.

      For those who may need a firm bed, the mattresses were on the soft side.

      Convenience in London!

      Flat was lovely and perfect location with short walk to several tube stations. We had no electricity on the bedroom/bathroom portion of the apartment the first night but someone came and fixed it the following morning. Heated floors and towel bars were awesome! There is a wonderful restaurant Waterloo Bar and Kitchen just down the street. Would highly recommend and use again if I were lucky enough to visit London in the future!

      Perfect for a family trip to London

      The flat is located very near Waterloo Station, within walking distance of the London Eye and the Houses of the Parliament.
      It has an unusual amount of space, it can accomodate 6 people perfectly.
      The flat was also very clean and well maintained, everything worked right.
      We found it on Booking.com. Our whole experience was fantastic, even though I´ve never had direct contact with the staff, they were absolutely accesible via email.
      I strongly recommend it.

      siamo stati al Waterloo apartment dal 8 al 13 dicembre 2012.L'appartamento è molto bello,e la posizione ,anche se non centralissimo rispetto alla maggior parte delle attrazioni,è comoda,con ottimi servizi di trasporto.La manutenzione non è molto buona , ma quello che ci ha lasciati molto insoddisfatti è la gestione dei codici di accesso che permettono di aprire la porta sulla strada e quella dell'appartamento.Infatti mi erano stati dati i codici per l'appartamento n.9,ma quando abbiamo aperto abbiamo scoperto che l'appartamento era già occupato.Fortunatamente non c'era nessuno,e non abbiamo spaventato nessuno,ma ci saremmo potuto portare via tutto!telefoniamo al gestore,Boutique London,e con molta calma ci danno altri codici per l'appartamento n.11.Tutto va bene fino al 12,quando improvvisamente ci ritroviamo chiusi fuori perchè i codici non funzionano più.Fortunatamente in casa era rimasta la fidanzata di mio figlio,suoniamo il citofono e ci apre.Nuova telefonata e nuovi codici,anche questa volta non sembrano scomporsi molto.Vorrei sottolineare che io,purtroppo,non parlo inglese,e tutto si è potuto risolvere perchè mio figlio era con noi.Non so come avrei fatto se fossimo stati solo io e mia moglie.

      we stayed at the Waterloo apartment 8 to 13 December 2012.L 'apartment is very nice, and the location, although not central to most of the attractions, comfortable, with excellent services trasporto.La maintenance is not very good, but what he has left us very unhappy is the management of access codes that allow you to open the door to the street and the apartment. fact, I had been given the code for the apartment 9, but when we opened we discovered that the apartment was already occupato.Fortunatamente there was none, and we have not scared anyone, but we would have been able to take away everything! call each servicer, Boutique London, and calmly give us another code for the apartment no. 11.Tutto okay until 12, when suddenly we find ourselves locked out because the codes do not work più.Fortunatamente in the house had been the girlfriend of my son, we play the intercom and call us apre.Nuova and new codes, this time not seem to break down molto.Vorrei point out that I, unfortunately, do not speak English, and all have been solved because my son was with noi.Non know how I would have done if we had been just me and my wife."

      We are very sorry for this to have happened to this guest on this occasion. Indeed, this was an error on the management's part. This guest had initially been booked into a different apartment (within the same building), and due to an unforeseen bout of maintenance required, we were forced to move him to another apartment (again, within the same building).

      What we failed to do is adequately communicate this to this guest - as well as delete this guest's prior (now invalid) keyless entry codes. For this, we apologize fully and completely. This was the first instance of something like this happening, and we will work diligently to make sure that it is the last. Entirely unacceptable and entirely our fault. We are very, very sorry for this.

      It is a shame that the acts of our management had compromised what should've been an otherwise successful stay at what you've referred to as a "very nice apartment". We can only hope that you will find it within yourself to offer us a second chance, where we promise to do our best to redeem ourselves with you.

      Fantastic Location for family of 4

      Met at apartment by very helpful staff.
      Easy walk to Waterloo and Lambert North stations for tired kids and even more worn out parents.
      Very clean apartment, minor mold issues in one of the showers. Otherwise would have rated cleanliness 5 stars. Everything else was spotless.

      2 BR and 2 Baths make this ideal for any small family or group. Infinitely more comfortable and logistically usable than the later apartment in Paris (different company) or the hotels in France we found.

      While small, this airy and open apartment felt spacious. Great place to relax after a hard day of sightseeing. Parliament, Big Ben, etc all within an easy walk. Apartment staff very fast to help with burned out lights and questions. Fast service is critical when only visiting for a short time, and this company dealt with minimal issues well. Couldn't expect anything more.

      Only downside to this apartment is the nearbye ambulance or police service, whose sirens interrupted each night. Closing windows dulled the noise, but the apartment could use a few fans in the summer.

      Overall, this place and this company are winners. I will not hesitate to use them again. And I'm pretty particular, as my suffering wife would tell you.

      Elevator/lift was especially nice at the end of a long day (6th floor).

      This apartment is so close to everything that you really get the feel of what is like to live in London. The advantage of having Waterloo station on your doorstep is immeasurable as you can reach so many exciting destinations from this one point. The buses are right outside the door, and lots to see and do in Lambeth and Southbank. Perfect for families and friends travelling together who like the privacy of your own room each night. All the facilities and appliances at the apartment are excellent. Highly recommended.

      The meet and greet worked out really well. We paid the extra pounds so we could get into the apartment earlier. The first impression of the apartment wasn't very good as there was an awful smell of rotten garbage in the foyer. Our apartment although it was a good layout and design had an awful mismatch of shabby furniture, nothing like the apartment advertised on the internet. For 4 of us two bedroom and two bathrooms was great. The position for us couldn't have been better as it was only a 5 minute walk to Waterloo Station.

      The main corridors and common space is cleaned everyday. I can only think that someone disposed of rubbish incorrectly during their stay. We have checked the condition of the hallway and it is back to normal sparkling condition. I do sincerely apologise for this unwelcoming odour on your arrival.

      Fabulous Digs and Great Location!

      My family and I stayed for 10 days. The apartment was clean and well put together. We had all the amenities we would expect at home and ample information about the apartment to run the washer and heat etc.

      We were on the fourth floor and could see the London eye from the balcony and hear Big Ben if the sliding glass door was open.

      I would recommend this apartment and this company to anyone. I personally will use them again and will hope to get this area and building again.

      This apartment was so centrally located to everything and it felt like this was a hidden affordable gem in the city. We were walking distance (couple blocks) to Waterloo station which had trains, buses and subway. Additionally we were close to Lambeth tube station which was slightly closer if you didn't want to walk as far in the elements. Small grocery and liquor on the corner. This area felt safe at all times and I felt comfortable the entire time I was there if I walked by myself. You wont be disappointed with the location and service.

      The flat was conveniently located near the Waterloo station and a local sanisbury. The lay out was a nice space, and comfortable for a family of five. We enjoyed the nice lighting from the sliders into the living room and master bedroom. The children enjoyed watching British tv and we all enjoyed the free wifi. We all enjoyed the heated towel racks and heated bathroom floor. The flat itself was a little cold. I would have liked a little more personal customer service, but our requests were addressed in a timely fashion.

      Fantastic location, accessible to tube and to buses, and walking distance from lots of attractions. Flat beautifully appointed, everything you could possibly need including coffee, tea, salt and pepper, washing powder, and toiletries. Just add fresh food, and you have a most comfortable home away from home.
      Take care: make sure you have the local phone number with you for arranging the key access on the day - we mis-read the number (converting from overseas access) and spent longer than necessary in the rain.
      Joy: Heated towel rails - warm dry towels, and we used for drying washed underwear also - a new thing for us aussies.
      Wish list: Chest of drawers, storage cube or shelving in bedrooms. Blockout curtains in bedrooms.

      A great place to stay for the family!

      We were very happy with our apartment in Waterloo. It was an ideal location to base ourselves for exploring London. It was within a 10min walk to Waterloo station which meant you could basically travel anywhere. The apartment was a good size for a family of 4. Having a small kitchen and a washer/dryer was a big bonus and much appreciated. A supermarket was nearby and lots of restaurants to choose from. London Eye and South Bank were 15-20min walk away. We did have 2 issues during our stay. Firstly, despite following the instructions and ringing through from Heathrow, nobody was there to meet us at the apartment. We had to wait 45min for a key to arrive. After being intransit for over 24 hours, this was annoying as the kids were very tired. However, we received a 20 pound refund for the problem. This was instigated by London Lets not by us but was appreciated as a token of very good will. Secondly, on our final night the flat above us decided to have a party with 100 people! The noise and music until the small hours was disppointing. However, we do not blame London Lets, this was somehting out of their control. They were absolutley motified and I had an apologetic email by 7am in the morning and a personal visit and apology from the management and ended up with 1 nights reimbursement. This was over and above the level of service we expected. I beleive that this demonstrates a genuine commitment to customer service. I highlight this not to put anyone off using this service but to demonstrate how good the service was. Things can go wrong out of our control, it is how people react that truly displays their character. We would defintely use London lets again and recommend them.

      Excelent place to stay

      The location is amazing. Close to every place you want to have access in central London. You can reach every tourist location by walking. If the place to go requires underground, the station is very close as well. There is also a local Sainsbury's (supermarket) close to the flat, that make our life easier. The flat is excellent and comfortable, with fantastic heating system under floor. We (all my family) had a very good time in London.

      Hemos ido a pasar el puente a Londres y la estancia en los apartamentos de waterloo ha sido estupenda. El piso es amplio, fuimos 5 adultos y estabamos muy cómodos, también está decorado de forma moderna, es tal y cómo aparece en las fotos. La ubicación es perfecta, cercano a todo ya que tiene la estación de waterloo a 5 minutos a pie. La única pega, es el volumen de voz de los ascensores, deberían bajarla un poco, ya que resuena dentro de los pisos, por lo demás, una estancia genial, con muchísimas ganas de repetir.

      This place is just 8 minutes walk to Waterloo station from where you can easily get anywhere in the inner London area. Its a pleasant walk from Westminsdter down one side and the South bank down the other. The apartment is spacious and comfortable, although two small vinyl couches was a little mean given the proportions of the rest of the flat. The kitchen was a great bonus and there is a small supermarket just opposite Waterloo station for all provisions. The drying rack is broken - that is my only complaint.

      very good visit, the only thing was that the lift has broken the firt day, but it was only the 3rd floor.

      Thank you. Im glad you enjoyed it. Unfortunately lifts can malfunction sometimes. The lift contractors were called out immeditaely and the lift was fixed within a couple of days - depsite being a public holiday weekend.

      great location, a few issues during stay

      The location was very central for everything we wanted. The underground and train station were an easy walk. Plus, we walked to several things from the apt. The washer did not spin and we had to pay a laundry service. The driver who dropped off the key charged us, even though he was supposedly pre paid. The rollaway cots were not comfortable. My son put the matresses on the flloor and enjoyed sleeping like that, so not a huge issue with the beds. The staff was very helpful with questions and letting us mail event tickets to the office. They hand delivered the tickets to the apartment for us.

      Location fairly good, light and bright bedrooms, adequate for family with teenagers. Furnishings a little tired. Fold out beds broken. Some equipment in the apartment did not work properly.Close to main attractions. Would not categorize apartment as boutique.

      Decent enough place to stay in a decent enough location, without really standing out as being sufficiently exciting or sufficiently well located so as to (quite) justify the price. But all in all...solid...won't go far wrong with this.

      The apartment is very nice and quite comfortable and the tube station is a few minutes.
      All is very clean and the instructions are clear.
      The check-in is easy and also the location of the apartment is very clear to the central London.
      I'll reccomend this apartment for groups and families.

      Brilliant service in difficult circumstances

      Our family enjoyed a terrific week, booked under conventional circumstances.This was followed by an unexpected extra week's stay, due to the eruption of an Icelandic volcano whose name now escapes me(!)
      BLL could not have been more obliging. They permitted our family to extend our stay,paying night-by-night until we were able to catch a flight home. Furthermore, we were also charged the reduced nightly rate applying to extended stays.
      They overcame the issue of a pre-existing booking by relocating us, at their expense, to another of their apartments for one night, then returning us to our original building. This gave us the chance to explore another area of London, and only added to our favourable impressions.
      We can't wait to return to London, and will certainly book our accommodation with BLL.

      Great location, check in was a planned and no problem. The flat needs work. The electric cut out several times and had to work on the fuses. Needs a good cleaning. Cold air came in at the base of the wall. Very limited hot water. Could not take a shower without the water turning cold.

      Very sorry to hear that you had these issues. We did have an electricla issue in the apartment which has now been completely rectified. I dare say that the limited water might have been as a result of the power isues. While the hot water supply is limited (its a standard hot water tank) there is usually enough for reasonable shower times. It is a modern apartment, so it would have been designed correctly for this.

      We do hope you come back to London and would like to invite you back with a discount and we can show you that ths is not reflective of our apartments generally (please contact us about the discount)

      Very close to Waterloo Station. The apartment was modern, clean and well laid out. Management had information and instructions well posted. We were very pleased and would not hesitate to recommend Boutique London Lets Waterloo and will use them again if we have the opportunity to visit London again.

      This flat had a superb location just a few minutes walk from the Waterloo station. The flat was nicely decorated with a full kitchen which is perfect for reducing your costs while traveling. The in-house laundry and wifi were just added bonuses.

      We really had a great stay. The location of the apartment is very easy to reach, just a few steps from Waterloo Station. The apartment is very comfortable, calm and clean. We will come back!

      Great location and flat. It was close to the tube and the Eye as well as all of the other landmarks. Well appointed with plenty of room for the 4 of us. Everything was clean and when we had a small problem, the company sent someone right away to fix it. Definately would recommend and we will be back!
