Quiet Bloomsbury Flat Close to Covent Garden
Additional Location Information
Green garden squares and lovely old Georgian buildings abound in Bloomsbury and help to soften this lovely area which is full of hustle and bustle.
Bloomsbury is an area of immense historical importance and many ancient buildings remain. The façade of Staple Inn survived the Great Fire of London. (A mnemonic for you - “In 1666, London burnt like rotten sticks.”). The four, beautiful Inns of Court offer a marvellous medieval contrast to the modern city surrounds and yes, they are open to the public.
The boho slightly scurrilous atmosphere associated with the literary Bloomsbury Group persists. Blue stocking students and corduroy clad academics mingle with pin striped lawyers.
When you are weary of the intellectual and the antique poodle on down to the West End, shop till you drop on Oxford Street, and kick up your heals in in Soho.

What Past Guests Are Saying
Perfect location, perfect flat!
Could not have been happier with this flat! Amazing location. Jennifer was a great host...waited for me to arrive when I texted her that my flight had been delayed. Much appreciated. The flat itself is modern, clean, and unbelievably quiet at night, which was very important for me. The bathroom was especially enjoyable...loved the rain shower head. There's a convenient Sainsbury's right around the corner for any grocery needs. Holborn tube is also right around the corner and services two lines. That said, I mostly walked everywhere...as the location is so central. Bed was comfortable...no problem sleeping here. A spacious flat. Also helpful was the alarm clock next to the bed...I'd forgotten to bring one! Overall, would not hesitate to recommend this flat to others, and would certainly stay again.

The rental experience was painless and problem free. The location is great for so many reasons. As others have said the store across the street and the Underground are super close.
There were 2 adults and my 11 year old.. I don't think this would be good for anymore people or older children. The inflatable bed was ok for him, but some may not like it and 2 person would have a problem.
Some have commented about minor issues such as the door or appliances, however taking the time to read the manuals for all appliances which are located in a folder in the flat would help. The door did stick, but I have the same problem at home:)
Although it is basically a quiet area you will experience sirens during the any hours, so just be aware of that...not a big deal, but lets you know you are close to the action.
easy booking, great location
The best: The place was clean and the location, excellent and safe.
Minor hiccups during check-in but nothing that delayed our plans or that was not solved with ease.
The not perfect: We had a double bed and unfortunately the other 2 had to sleep on an inflatable mattress which was not expected nor comfortable even for children.
Other than that I'd suggest the host to add a coat hanger because it was difficult to find a spot to place our wet coats after walking in the rain.
Everything else was great and we would recommend it to others.
Great Place in the Heart of London
We stayed as 3 guests for three nights and were very impressed with our time here. Although there was a mishap with check-in arrangements the rest of the apartment quickly made up for it. Clean and modern apartment comfortably fitting 3 people. 200m from Holborn Underground on Central line and equipped with all the facilites we required including washing machine/clothes dryer. Jennifer provided us with all the information we required for our stay to ensure it was hassle free. Highly recommend to all ages.
Nice place to stay
We are very happy with this place. Very good location ( only 15 min walk to Oxford street station) and generally easy to reach main attractions. Indeed very quiet and comfortable apartment. We have also got quick response about booking. Overall quite happy, would like to stay again. The only thing we struggled with was an entry to the apartment door, it is very stiff.

Great apartment in a safe block in a fantastic location. Holborn Tube a 2 minute walk away and Sainsburys also very close by. Apartment was clean and all of the facilities were excellent. Highly recommended.
Peaceful and nice apartment near British Museum
We found a very clean and modern apartment near Holborn aerea.
In term of arrangement, nothing missed.
Be careful, the apartment is planned for 2 people in the same room. No sleeps for 4 people as indicated on the announcement.
Charming one bedroom flat
It was my second stay, and again I'm quite satisfied with this flat. Great location, clean and huge bathroom and bedroom with large window.
What a terrific little apartment. We have stayed in various accommodation in London over the years with very mixed experiences but this place was really good. Fantastic location, relatively spacious, clean, good bathroom, washing machine, well-appointed kitchen - everything we needed. It was also very close to supermarkets and tube but it's so well positioned you can walk to loads of places like the British museum which is just around the corner. The London agents were efficient and the booking process was easy.
The only slight negatives are that it's three flights up with no lift, didn't bother us but may be a consideration for elderly or infirm and the next door apartment dweller slammed his door all the time! Otherwise a big thumbs up from us.

Wonderful stay at this quiet Covent Garden location on Barter St
On our recent visit to London, we decided to venture into renting an apartment. We were not disappointed. Our apartment was centrally located and public transportation was steps away. The apartment was very clean and quiet. The entire process was very easy and the personnel we dealt with nice and prompt in returning communications. We would highly recommend The London agent and this apartment to our family and friends. We had an excellent visit to London and the accommodations were key to that experience.
Great spot, but v.hard bed
The flat is in a great spot, but not quite Covent Garden, requiring a 10min walk to get back from where most would describe Covent Garden. The flat is in great condition, is quiet and well equipped. The only problems were that the inflatable bed was missing an essential piece meaning the kids had to sleep in the floor and the main bed is super hard,I mean really hard. I like a hard bed as it suits my back problems, but this was like lying on the floor.
Other than that all good.
Secure and quiet 1 bed room apartment in central London
The apartment was superbly situated only a few minutes walk from both Holborn tube and the British Museum. Yet on a quiet side street it was very quiet.
Well equipped, great appliances including washer/drier and individual operating manuals though an introduction to the apartment as a whole would have been good.
On second floor so some stairs to handle.
Overall a great location that we would return to.
Excellent Central Flat
Beautiful, comfortably furnished flat in a great central London location.
overall the place was brilliant good location and great apartment.

Modern Flat, convenient location.
Flat 10, 21 Barter St. was almost perfect for 3 adults. Situated on a short, narrow street with very little traffic in a primarily business area of London, it was therefore very quiet and private and only a block from the Holburn Underground Station on the Piccadilly line, and close to the grocery store and the British Museum. There are many restaurants in the area and a pharmacy near the station. The building was secure and the flat well equipped for our one-week stay. The fold out sofa in the living room is really suitable for a short adult or a child as the website had stated but we were able to live with it. The building does not have a lift. If young Cousin Moki had not been there, I, at 82, would have had a struggle to carry my own bags up the 2 flights of stairs. The combination washer-dryer worked well once we figured out how to use it. It did take about an hour and a half for a small load to complete its cycle so we had to schedule our laundry times but the machine is very quiet so that it can be run late at night. Jennifer, our rental agent was easy to contact and met us at the flat. We enjoyed the light from the many windows, the space, a large bathroom and big-screen TV and appreciated the free WiFi service.I
would highly recommend the flat to a couple with one child. Bloomsbury Square is only a half a block away and has play equipment for young children.
Excellent flat! Can't beat the location
Barter Street is in an excellent location very close to Holborn Tube and easy walking distance of Covent Garden. Flat was impeccably clean and nicely decorated. Surprised there weren't any wine glasses though. Only niggling complaint is that we arrived late evening from the us and had to pay a 40 pound fee to have someone meet us at the door and hand over a key. Seemed a bit steep.
it was a great experience
Everything was wanderful: the flat, very modern and comfortable, the location, the service; and Barter street is so nice. It's easy make the reservation and i recommend it to everyone.

Much better than a hotel!
We usually stay in Travelodge hotels when visiting London so this was a bit of a risk as it was more expensive. But it was just like having a pad of one's own in the centre of London - the flat was beautifully presented with all mod-cons in a lovely old building which oozed character and charm. Everything was close by yet the area was quiet and had an 'exclusive' feel. The stairs were a bit of a struggle for my husband who has a bad back so I had to carry the shopping bags! Nothing we couldn't overcome - we'll defnintely be back next year. Would recommend to all opera lovers wanting a romantic long-weekend in the Big Smoke.
