Additional Location Information
Kensington is frequently associated with the city’s best dressed and well-heeled. As such, it is no surprise that it is notable in particular for its main commercial artery, Kensington High Street, home of the Whole Foods Market flagship store and a vast selection of affordable brand names. Moving westwards takes you to Shepherd’s Bush, home of the behemoth Westfield shopping centre, the largest urban mall in Europe. Alighting at the South Kensington tube stop, you begin to understand the area’s reputation as the city’s heart of high-brow culture. Right next to the station you will find a tightly knit (and well signposted) corridor of museums and galleries, all of which date from the 1851 Great Exhibition, whose profits Prince Albert used to regenerate the area. This includes the V&A;, Science and Natural History Museums, as well as the Royal Albert Hall. The beauty of Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park adds weight to London's title of most verdant city of its size in the world.

My family (4 of us) stayed at Bramber Rd accommodation thru Ivy Lettings and we were very happy with our choice and with Ivy Lettings. Everyone was helpful and professional, our emails and calls were answered promptly and efficiently.Margaret the owner was warm, hospitable and very kind.
Our accommodation was close to train stations and bus stops and we walked to lots of places and found it very convenient. Sth Kensington was approx 20 min walk for us and everything you need in the way of pharmacies, supermarkets, restaurants, pubs etc were in very easy walking distance.
Since the accommodation has steep steps down onto the front door it probably might be a little difficult if you have mobility issues but it wasn't an issue for us so we found it quaint, warm and very homely. Perfect for us.

Rome, ItalyFantastica sistemazione.
Left on 09/13/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Response from Ivy Lettings - 10/09/2012

Ottawa, CanadaA perfect place to stay for the Olympics
Left on 08/29/2012 for a stay in August 2012
I traveled to London with my family - my sister and me, and my parents. We had been trying to find a place that would accomodate our adult family, allowing us to have some home comforts, while exploring the city and experiencing the Olympics. Bramber Rd. ended up being a perfect fit for us. With a camp bed, and pull out sofa, there was easily enough sleeping space for us all. Monica (the owner) was wonderful, welcoming us with lots of neighbourhood advice - from grocery stores to dinner to transportation.
It was bound to be a good trip with the Olympics, but it was so nice to have a great place to come back to each night. And the little back patio space was a nice addition for a cup of tea.
I would say that if you have any mobility issues, probably not the best place - steep stairs to the door, a very high bathtub and not particularly accessible transportation (not far, just stairs).Response from Ivy Lettings - 10/09/2012

Hendersonville, NCGreat place to stay in Kensington/Earls Court
Left on 05/16/2012 for a stay in May 2012
We were blessed to stay at a lovely ground level apartment on a rarely traveled Bramber road, off a main thoroughfare (North End Road. The apartment was nicely supplied with all the amenities and its location was near two main bus lines and about 10 minute walk to three Tube stations. Monica, the owner, was a delight and willing to help with any questions or problems. The rental agency, Ivy Lettings, was efficient and concise. Would stay there again if we go back to London. (Note, because of the rather steep stairs (five) to get from street level to the apartment entrance, this would not be for someone handicapped or who had mobility issues. Otherwise, a great place to enjoy London!)

Adelaide, South AustraliaComfortable and homely with all the facilities we needed
Left on 04/02/2012 for a stay in March 2012
An enjoyable stay. Thanks to Guy and the team at Ivy Lettings, the booking was easy. Monica the owner was charming and helpful, and easy to contact at the adjacent property. The property was as advertised and was comfortable and homely with all the facilities we required. The garden is a real asset. I wouldn't recommend the property to anyone with mobility problems, as the stairs down to the front door are quite steep. Arriving by Tube with your luggage is not an option - it's located equidistant between three Tube stations, but a brisk 10 minute walk from each. Fortunately Ivy Lettings organised transport from the airport direct to the property and I recommend this arrangement. In summary, next time we're in London, this is where we'll stay.

Arlington, Virginia, USAComfortable, clean, and convenient
Left on 11/28/2011 for a stay in September 2011
This basement flat on Bramber Road worked out beautifully for my sons, their friend, and myself. It was only a bit tight for four people, but since we were generally out seeing the sights, it really met our needs very well. Monica, the owner went out of her way to see that we had everything we needed. The flat was very clean and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. This flat is located within easy walking distance of tube stops on two difference lines which helped.

We rented this flat for the proximity to Chelsea stadium (approx 15 minute walk) We were very happy with the flat and amenities. The owner of the flat lives in the home on the next block resulting in common garden behind the two of flats which we enjoy for using every day. The owner was very helpful with suggestions.

We needed a place to stay at while and after my husband had an operation in Charing Cross Hospital. The location was optimal, 10 min to several tube stations, the hospital and everything else we needed. The flat has a lovely garden to use and offered everything we needed. The landlady was very helpful and lovely. So were amelia and the rest of the crew from Ivy Lettings. Very happy! Thank you!
