An Exceptional London Home

This compact, beautifuly renovated two bedroom, two bathroom (one shower/one bath and two WCs) apartment on Wetherby Gardens is perfect for your central London vacation. Peacefully located on a quiet street at the back of a charming old red brick building, this traditional apartment on the raised ground floor is ideal for a family or two couples traveling together who want to experience living in a truly authentic London neighbourhood. Spend the day exploring one of the world's most vibrant cities and come back to all the comforts of your chic South Kensington home.

Enter the building up five stone steps, and cross the entrance hall to your apartment door. The bright reception room with its high ceilings, original wooden floor and full height windows opens through French doors onto the prettiest private terrace, fully furnished and overlooking the trees and attractive gardens of the surrounding homes. There is a stylish upholstered sofa and two comfortable and chairs arranged around a stone topped coffee table, and a dining table with four chairs inside beside the lovely old bow windows. The apartment is equipped with a flat screen, wall mounted colour TV in the living room, DVD/CD player, a phone, and laptop with WIFI. The fully equipped and modern kitchen has a large refrigerator and freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, oven, coffee press, toaster and all utensils necessary for cooking and eating.

The apartment has two bedrooms one with a queen sized bed and the other with a double bed. The light and welcoming bedrooms are carpeted and elegantly furnished and have quaint balconies with typically English wrought iron railings. The master bedroom has an en suite shower room with WC. Both the en suite shower room and second bathroom with shower above the bath, are tiled in limestone, and we supply bathrobes, fluffy towels, liquid hand soap and hair dryers in each. There are two WCs.

The apartment is fully heated for your comfort.

A Perfect Location

In such a tranquil setting, with no rooms overlooking the street, it is hard to believe that you are right in the heart of such a sought after and fashionable neighbourhood. Explore on foot many of the famous city sites, including the Victoria and Albert museum, the Natural History museum and the Science museum, the Albert Hall, Hyde Park with the Serpentine Gallery, Kensington Palace and Gardens or the Saatchi Gallery, as well as the many boutiques, bistros, cafes and traditional English pubs in the area. Walk to Harrods in Knightsbridge, up to the busy shopping on Kensington High Street, or to the famous King's Road in Chelsea. Take one of the many red buses, hail a black cab, or take the tube from Gloucester Road, only a three minute walk from your apartment, or from South Kensington straight to the theatre district, Covent Garden, Notting Hill and Portabello market, Parliament, Buckingham Palace, to St Pancras and the Eurostar, or even to Heathrow airport! Just around the corner from your apartment you will find cafes and shops, a large Waitrose supermarket, pharmacy and bank - everything you need is right here on your doorstep.

WIFI is available and included in the rental of this apartment. We also provide a computer (PC) for your use, however, you are welcome to bring your own laptop and we will help you connect it.

We will be on hand to meet and settle you into the apartment, answer questions and help out in any way we can. We can make restaurant, theater and activity reservations and recommendations. We will happily share our London knowledge, insight and experience with our guests.

  The apartment is well located to the Gloucester Rd tube station which is on the District, Circle and Piccadilly lines, making travel to any of London's sights very easy. It is quiet, clean and in good repair. We felt very safe and secure staying here and it was a welcome haven to retreat to after a busy day in London.
  
  The only thing missing was shower gel/soap so be sure to pack some, otherwise the local shops are easily accessed.

  We loved our stay in this chic London apartment located in a quiet South Kensington neighbourhood. It was easy to get to from Heathrow, accessed by Gloucester Road station on the Picadilly Line. The apartment was luxuriously appointed with very comfortable furniture and a well equipped kitchen. Our teenage sons shared the second bedroom which has a split base king size bed which was separated and made into two extremely comfortable singles. It was a bit of a tight squeeze with the beds separated but this was never a problem. There is a lovely sunny terrace with a pleasant green outlook for central London. The apartment is close to some of the quintessential London sights and easily accessed by public transport and there are lots of great restaurants and cafes nearby. There is a supermarket next to the Gloucester Road tube station which has all the supplies necessary for preparing meals at home. The booking process was easy and professional and we were met at the apartment as arranged and given plenty of useful information on the apartment and the area. A great find.
