If you are looking for a one bedroom property absolutely in the middle of everything, this is the apartment for you. Covent Garden offers amazing restaurants, theatres, clubs with easy access to all kinds of transportation. The Leicester Square Tube Station is a three-minutes walk from this property--right on the Piccadilly Line, taking visitors straight through London without changing. The Covent Garden Tube Station is also very convenient. Fine gourmet restaurants are in all the lanes nearby while quick lunches along New Row and Garrick Street make eating out affordable and fun. The finest salt beef sandwich can be found on New Row, and Tesco's grocery street is on the corner of New Row and Garrick Street--perfect. Brown's Restaurant, a favorite for pre-theatre snacks has been a favorite for years and is a London landmark. Bella Italia, a Spanish restaurant, pizza, and McDonald's are all immediate to the property. Every London theatre is within walking distance as are the National Gallery, Covent Garden Square, Jubilee Antique Market on Mondays, Leicester Square and all its theatres, The National Portrait Gallery, Trafalgar Square, and of course Chinatown. The property is located five floors from street level, on the English 4th floor, so the street noise is minimal. There is secondary glazing. There is a lift to all floors as well as stairs and a front porter from 7:00 am until 4:00 pm Monday through Friday who is pleasant and helpful. The flat has a comfortable lounge with a large window facing west affording lots of light. It has a sofa, chair, TV, internet. The sofa makes into a double bed for a family wishing to be cosy. The kitchen has dishwasher, hob, oven, microwave, and washing machine. It is well equipped and works well. The bathroom is finished in marble and has tub with mounted shower, wash hand basin, and loo--all in very good condition. The bedroom has a king-size sleigh bed and good closets. For those wishing to walk everywhere, have clubs and restaurants nearby, and disappear into the city life of London, this is a wonderful choice. For larger groups traveling together, you may wish also to book two 2-bedroom flats in this building as well which have two double bedrooms and two bathrooms. This would allow 10/11 persons with three bathrooms to enjoy London from the same building in three apartments. The property is in excellent condition. Covent Garden attracts the young in heart and the theatre goers; for those who have tried to get a taxi after theatre know the value of living RIGHT THERE. Good choice. (The owner stayed in this flat for his visit Jan 2011. This is an amazing experience being right in the city of London.
