How can you find a quiet neighborhood within a stone's throw (literally) of Hyde Park, major bus access to the rest of the city, neighborhood restaurants and pubs with a welcome sense of privacy? Rent this flat!
Roomy enough for entertaining a large group for drinks and comfortable to have a quiet dinner for four, we found the remodled interior to be clean and well organized. Loved the washer/dryer and the fabulous master bath & shower. Don't let the "garden level" location dissuade you, we enjoyed light without the curious eyes of passersby. Do ask about the "secret switch" for the pump in the guest bathroom. Kitchen works well although it might be a bit cramped for someone who likes to spend time there. The large screen TV helped make these Yanks into confirmed football watchers--not to mention enjoying the Queen's Jubilee festivities from the comfort of our own home. There's a Whole Foods store in easy walking distance (about 3 blocks)with a Tesco about 3 blocks farther. We enjoyed the Italian restaurant nearby as our "home away from home" restaurant. Good food at the French restaurant, too. Neighborhood pubs readily available in several directions. Bus availability within a block--two different Underground lines about 5 blocks away east and west. Not only would I recommend this flat highly, I'd love to stay there when we're in London again. Cheers!

We really enjoyed our stay here; from our 'chauffeur' pick-up at Heathrow to check out. Lovely quiet location just off Kensington High Street. Shops and pubs only minutes' walk - try the Goat on the High Street - huge servings and friendly service! Our problems with the shower (gotta love those complicated British power showers!) were quickly sorted after a phone call to the agents. The apartment had everything we needed - all sorts of cooking gear, books, spare umbrellas, torches etc. Good big bathrooms, easy to use central heating, lots of towels, comfy beds and pillows.

We had such a great time! There were four of us, all women. The flat was comfortable and had everything we needed. The area was very safe and wonderfully located. We were in walking distance of two tubes making touring really easy. Two great groceries really close. We discovered two great restaurants within walking distance. Fiona's and Maggie Jones. Great food and fun. A Place Like Home helped us with everything we needed and accommodated our check-in/check-out schedule. We couldn't have had a better time.

We were received on time by a staff member and shown around the property and similarly when we left the handing over was all very smooth.
Kensington High Street is so central for London; you have shops,
restaurants, the tube station...all within minutes from the apartment.
What I liked best is the high security in the lane which was thanks to the High Commissions in the nearby buildings. You could come home late at night without a worry.
The apartment was furnished perfectly. You had all your basic amenitites; the kitchen had the required dishes and gadgets.
We will definitely book the same apartment and stay there again when we attend our daughters' graduation in the winter.
