Kensington is frequently associated with the city’s best dressed and well-heeled. As such, it is no surprise that it is notable in particular for its main commercial artery, Kensington High Street, home of the Whole Foods Market flagship store and a vast selection of affordable brand names. Moving westwards takes you to Shepherd’s Bush, home of the behemoth Westfield shopping centre, the largest urban mall in Europe. Alighting at the South Kensington tube stop, you begin to understand the area’s reputation as the city’s heart of high-brow culture. Right next to the station you will find a tightly knit (and well signposted) corridor of museums and galleries, all of which date from the 1851 Great Exhibition, whose profits Prince Albert used to regenerate the area. This includes the V&A;, Science and Natural History Museums, as well as the Royal Albert Hall. The beauty of Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park adds weight to London's title of most verdant city of its size in the world.

Very courteous and efficient staff attended to all we asked.The apartment is superbly placed close to underground,supermarkets,restaurants and the shopping of Ken High st.
Apartment fresh, heated, well equipped (over supplied with crockery and cutlery) galley kitchen and excellent bathroom.
We enjoyed returning to our London pad each night and found it excellent value. -

First of all, the staff at Ivy Lettings was always quick to respond to any inquiry and very keen to help. Because we arrived on a weekend, key retrieval had to be arranged via lockbox, and they were very careful and helpful to ensure that everything went without a hitch. The price was wholly reasonable for a small one-bedroom apartment with a newly redone kitchen and bathroom. The bathroom was rather big. The kitchen was smallish, but it had a washer/dryer which was invaluable given that we were traveling with kids, and helped us to minimize what we needed to pack. The flat is on the top floor, accessible via lift. The building is quiet, and the bedroom faces the back of the building - the kids were on the hideaway sofabed and got the brunt of the traffic noise - but they didn't complain. After a full day of sightseeing, we were exhausted each night. The flat is convenient to several major bus lines to central London and Notting Hill Gate, and is an easy walk to the Earl's Court and Kensington High Street tube lines. The neighborhood is very residential, so you can stock up your fridge with goodies from the immediate vicinity. I would definitely do this again, especially with the kids. It was like being a local and we loved it.

The people from Ivy Lettings were great, they were very helpful and quickly answered all our questions.
The apartment was great, very well equipped, spacious, and very confortable.
It is in a nice and calm neighbourhood, near a beautiful park. There are stores to buy anything you may need close to the apartment. There are metro and bus stops close to it, and you can get to the centre in about 20 minutes.
Overall, a great apartment and a great service from people in Ivy Lettings, and we will recommend it.Response from Ivy Lettings - 12/03/2012
