A delightful and bespoke townhouse, with a stylish Scandinavian feel. Well located on a quiet cobbled tuck-away, this home will make even the shortest stay in London unique and memorable.

Originally a carpenters workshop, the owners (both designers) have

sympathetically remodeled and transformed the entire building into a multilevel dream home. Every effort has been made to create an individual and well planned design for living: unique design element were built by local artisans, furniture has been custom designed or re-invented specifically for the home, and recycled materials have been used as frequently as p...ossible.

The living area is on the ground floor and features a custom made dining table with seating for six, plus attractive and comfortable sofa.

The gorgeous, hand built kitchen is open plan and offers quality appliances including a special Quooker boiling water tap, ceramic hob, oven, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher.

Upstairs is another living space with seating and work area.

Adjacent is the main bed ‘pod’ with integral double bed (200 x 150 cm).

The bright and cheery, all yellow bathroom is a fiberglass wet room with shower, wc and basin.

Suspended above this area is a hanging bed pod in the form of a mini house with small double bed (135 x 190cm) and a separate single (75 x 190cm)

Fully equipped with quality linen and towels, kitchen utensils, WiFi and a library of books. The home does not have a TV but an iPad may be borrowed from the owner. Not ideal for small children under the age of five but older children are welcome.

Bethnal Green underground station on the Central Line is five minutes away and Shoreditch High Street tube stop approximately seven minutes walk.

“Boris Bikes” are also nearby, should you prefer to rent a bicycle and there are always buses going here and there.

The property is located on the edge of the vibrant Shoreditch and within walking distance from Brick Lane and Columbia Road flower market. Stratford 2012 Olympic Site is a 15 minute drive. Nearby you have numerous local grocery stores plus interesting street markets to cater for your daily needs.

East London is full of interesting contrasts - vibrant and multicultural, trendy and traditional, affluent and gritty. It has a wonderful and diverse range of people from bohemian artists, monied financiers to the original 'locals' i.e. Cockney Londoners. Close enough to all of the must-see London landmarks so that you don't waste time traveling but removed enough so that you can mingle with us long term London residents.

In the immediate area head towards the lively local street markets of Columbia Road flower market, Brick Lane, Broadway Market, Spitalfields and Pettycoat Lane. Much loved by the locals, the area offers vibrant restaurants, music venues, bars and night life, as well as renowned galleries and museums - the Cube and Geffrye Museum being perhaps best known.

From your home, take a leisurely stroll through the City to St Pauls, over the Millennium Bridge to Shakespeare's Globe Theatre and lunch at the Tate Modern. Or head west and wonder around antique Bloomsbury, explore the wonderful treasures of the British Museum and pop in at one of the four Inns of Court to get a feel for medieval London. If you are feeling energetic there are many cycle paths along the canals which are great for poodling around on a lazy Sunday with a pit stop at the local pub.

If you have to work the home is only 15 minutes away from the financial district – called the City - and Liverpool Street station. There are excellent train connections plus 24hr bus links for easy access to the west end.
