Charming, comfortable, modern cottage located on a family estate in Hamiltons, one of the prettiest settlements on the island. Within walking distance of shops, bars, restaurants. The house is fully furnished, fully equipped with air conditioning, ceiling fans, cable television, free wi-fi internet and laundry facilities. Ideal for a relaxing getaway and well suited to children. The house faces the rolling hills that shelter the settlement from the Atlantic ocean. Beautifully landscaped lawns and an assortment of fruit trees add an ambience that makes you want to sit on the porch and enjoy the cool breezes.

The Blue Cottage is highly recommended to anyone who would like to get away from everyday stress.
First of all, Ramona and Danny will not only be your landlords, but most of all your neighbours and friends. They made our stay special with their inside knowledge about the island, with the balmy evenings on the porch, with excellent food and the warm atmosphere they create. We felt welcome immediately and when we left, it was like leaving a family home.
Geographically, Hamilton's is the perfect place for island explorers: Situated in the middle of Long Island, trips down north and up south are an easy drive (no more than 1,5hrs to the north tip, 1hr to the south tip). This way, you can try several beaches or snorkling spots in a day and discover new places at the shore all the time - it will never be too far to be back home in the evening.
The cottage is equipped with everything you need - if you miss something, Ramona and Danny will help you find it. However, do not expect a wide choice of food or other products in the island's supermarkets. You'll get the essentials, but Long Island (luckily) is not a place for fancy luxury or exclusive shopping. However, there are three things you should not miss: the handcrafted braidworks, the guided cave tour (within walking distance from the cottage) and the casual encounters with the locals. Their friendliness and open-minded curiosity for visitors is heart-warming and makes the Bahamaians truly adorable.
