Our Two Bedroom/Two Bath Cottage is located in a quiet area of the island and is centrally located between the attractions in the North and South making it a perfect place to be while visiting. We have almost 400 feet of ocean frontage on a 2 ½ mile long beach. The Cottage is just a bit back from the beach with a beautiful unobstructed beach & water view. We live here year r...ound and we want ALL of our visitors to get a good taste of what it's like to live on the island and to have a good time while here. The cottage is your home away from home -- clean, comfortable and providing everything you need for your stay while exploring the island…..all at an affordable price ! The Cottage has TWO bedrooms (Queen Beds),TWO full baths, fully equipped kitchen, screened-in porch with dining table and can accommodate up to 4 people. Special Requests: If you have any special requests please let us know. If you need some groceries, beer, liquor or soda we'd be happy to pick that up for you so it will be ready upon arrival...nothing like a nice cold drink after a day of travelling.

Long Island, Bahamas is the REAL Bahamas ! Only 3,000 people on the island means you will find the solitude you are seeking. Beautiful Gin-Clear waters and pristine DESERTED beaches await you. Our property is quiet and peaceful. Enjoy tropical breezes at the beach or on your screened-in porch while sipping a tropical drink. The beach is right out front and is about 2.5 miles long ! Odds are you won't see another soul on the whole thing. You can snorkel right out front and see lots of coral and fish as well as octopus! Ya just never know what you will see.

We are somewhat centrally located. North of us by about 15 minutes is Stella Maris and Cape Santa Maria......great snorkeling, beaching and awesome sights. South of us by about 30 minutes is the world famous Deans Blue Hole...over 600 feet deep and the site of International Free-diving Competitions held twice a year featuring divers from all over the world. And of course, there is a LOT in between too....plenty of beaches for shelling or beach combing....as well as collecting some of that elusive sea glass !!! These are world class beaches with NOBODY else on them...

NOTE: The Rate of $125 per night is for Two People/One Bedroom. Additional people are $40 each per night with a maximum of 4 people. A minimum of 50% of the rental amount is due upon booking and the balance is due 60 days prior to arrival.

Cancellations - WE REALLY HOPE THIS DOESN'T HAPPEN BUT.....Since Long Island is pretty isolated, you will be responsible for the rental period when you book it. In the event you need to cancel please contact us right away and we will try to re-book the rental period. If we can do this we will refund your deposit less any fees and a $100 cancellation charge. We strongly advise trip insurance for your protection. Contact us for details on this if you are interested.

  The cottage is crisp, clean and cool with with tall ceilings...George was very helpful from the beginning and made sure we had all we needed to have a great time and experience the island. There was always someone available if we had questions or needed to know more about the island.
  
  The island is quiet and we had a wonderful time exploring all the different parts of the island. As a family we really like to explore and see places that are off the beaten path and not touristy...This place is perfect for that. So many neat spots we found on the island were crowded with only the 4 of us...peaceful and relaxing.
  
  Our favorites things were...Dean's Blue Hole, Fishing from shore, Walking the beach in front of the Cottage at dawn, crystal blue water, the quiet and amazing sunsets in front of cottage..fresh conch...great food.

  George made my first trip tot the Bahamas, the best vacation I've ever had. The proximity of the cottage to some of the most stunning parts of the island was a huge plus. The cottage has fantastic high ceilings, great windows and fans-- no need to use the air conditioning. Screened porch didn't let any bugs through. Great kitchen, we cooked most nights during our week. George is a fabulous host-- checked in on us but also gave us plenty of space to feel like we were really exploring on our own. If we ever needed anything or had a question, he was totally available.
