Our first time in a holiday cottage. The owners could not have been more helpful. The amenities - the health club were first class - and free!
The peaceful setting, and so much to see close by could not have been better.
Wholeheartedly recommend it.
What a view

The cottage was superb, quite spacious and with 2 ensuites and large bedrooms couldn't ask for more. The location enabled us to have good views everywhere we travelled - such pretty countryside. Having a leisure centre on the site was an added bonus and we took the opportunity to enjoy a morning swim. There was a restaurant on site too but we ate out as we visited the district and various National Trust sites, English Heritage etc. and only needed tea when we came home. Very handy for alnwick Castle & Gardens - well worth a visit.
We enjoyed watching the lambs playing in the field by the cottage and also the "woodland" walk in the grounds. The village shop was well stocked and everybody treated us as long lost friends. A typical "northern" attribute!
