Sleeping four people in two bedrooms, this detached cottage is in Longframlington village. Ashdowne is a semi-detached cottage in the Northumberland village of Longframlington. The cottage has a ground floor twin room, and a spacious first floor super king-size double room. There is a ground floor bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the sitting room has a dining area and a multi-fuel stove in Inglenook fireplace. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

My wife and I together with our cairn terrier spent a week in October. The cottage was excellent, the village was a treat with everyone friendly. The weather was unkind, rain ,fog and even snow. This never was a problem because we always knew we were returning to a warm cosy home away from home.
The cottage was well equipped and the bottle of wine provided by the owners was most appreciated. -

We really enjoyed staying in this cottage. It is situated in a very friendly village with two lovely pubs/restaurants. Great for our dog too with plenty of walks.
The cottage itself was lovely, well equipped and comfortable and it was lovely to find the fire made up and a bottle of wine waiting. It was furnished beautifully and we were able to relax. My only small critism is that it could really do with some curtains in the main bedroom. Other than that ... perfect.
