Description from the owner
If it’s not the majestic Sierra la Giganta mountains, the deep blue waters of the Sea of Cortez, or the historic and scenic village of Loreto that gets you, something about this seaside / golf paradise, will.
Before you’ve had a chance to even catch your breath after descending into Loreto’s own international airport, you’ll instinctively know that you’ve arrived at a very special place and time. Welcome to Loreto, the New York Times #8 of 41 best places to see in 2011.
Our two bedroom casa, located in the Founders Neighborhood of Loreto Bay is just a short 10 minute drive from the Loreto airport. The drive is pleasant...Read more

Additional Location Information
Loreto Bay is blessed with natural beauty and located near the culturally rich, historic village of Loreto that sits on the shores of the Sea of Cortés. Described by Jacques Cousteau as “the world’s aquariumâ€, this local is a diver's delight and a whale watcher's wonderland.
The Sierra La Giganta mountain range, one of the tallest and most spectacular in Baja, overlooks the town of Loreto and creates breathtaking panoramic vistas. Here you'll find 12,000 of the friendliest local people you will ever meet.
The warm and sunny climate (averaging 300 sunny days and 80 degrees) a year, offers the opportunity for many year-round activities. Here you'll enjoy swimming, world-class sport fishing, scuba diving (an absolute paradise for underwater photography), kayaking, whale-watching, hiking, sea side golf and much, much more, making it the ideal place for an adventure-filled or laid back getaway.
For a special treat, take a ponga boat to nearby Coronado Island, where you will marvel at the marine life that includes sea lions, exotic birds, playful dolphins and whales.
Loreto is refreshingly local. The first thing you notice as you enter the winding, cobblestone streets of the town of Loreto is what you don’t see. There are no towering high-rise hotels obscuring the view of the waterfront. No sprawling shopping centers dominating the friendly local shops and no noisy nightclubs crowding out the charming village square. This beautiful town, once the capital of the California's, still remains somehow untouched by the outside world.
Our number one goal is to help make your visit to our vacation home so enjoyable that you will want to return and enjoy it again. Please let us know how we may be of service to you.

Madison, WisconsinLoved the view!

We loved our stay at the Casa in the Founders Neighborhood in Loreto Bay. When we arrived the home was immaculate and it is spacious with very comfortable furniture throughout, lovely tiled bathrooms, a well-stocked kitchen, and a grill on the patio, where we cooked fresh yellow fin tuna quite a few times during our stay. We had an amazing view of the mountains, and a small lake on the golf course and all the lovely landscaping in the neighborhood provided many opportunities for bird watching from the second floor patio. Pat was very prompt about returning emails and providing answers to all of our questions. The house itself is in a very central location, within a few blocks of a very chic coffee house, a lovely Mexican restaurant with good food, a small grocery store, and the pool and kayak rental on the beach at the Loreto Bay Inn. The neighborhood is beautifully landscaped and it is a joy just to walk through it, noting all the Mexican architectural details on the homes. The Loreto area offers opportunities for drives and hikes into the mountains, boat trips to Coronado Island for scuba, snorkeling, or just spending a day on a quiet beach. In the village, there are places to buy fresh fish, as well as grocery shop, souvenir shop, or go out for a meal. We found the people of Baja to be very kind and we always felt safe.

We loved every minute of it! Your casa #373 was the most well equipped place we have ever rented. Very comfortable beds and sofa (which you don't usually find in Mexico). We found the home the be very, very clean and bug free which is huge since we have young children. The casa had all the creature comforts of home. It was a great proximity to the beach, pool, store, and our favorite morning spot, El Corazon coffee shop. We also felt very safe. I appreciated the presence of security in the neighborhood. Looking forward to returning next year.

We had a great time in Loreto from Feb 9-15th. The villa is nicely decorated and very comfortable. We traveled with one other person so it was nice to have the rooms separate from the living area, to give you a sense of privacy as needed. This unit would stack up to any 5 star hotel that we have stayed, but better in the sense that you have the large rooftop deck to enjoy the views and sunsets in the evenings. Be assured that Pat is professional and will give you great service.
We will be back next year!!!
Thanks again Pat,

New Smyrna Beach, FLAbsolutely Gorgeous!

We really enjoyed our stay in Loreto Bay. It takes you away to another time and allows you to enjoy the peace and tranquility of a small European village. We were able to walk to a little coffee shop and wine bar as well as restaurants - just within the village.
It is very convenient to fly into Loreto and be at the resort in ten minutes. The people in Loreto are really friendly.
The town of Loreto is absolutely charming with many shops and unique restaurants. The Malecon along the water is just beautiful for a walk after dining in town.
There are many day excursions and we highly recommend going to Coronado Island to see the sea lions and bird sanctuary.
The accommodations were beyond my expectations with two master suites with comfortable king beds and all the amenities. There was even an outdoor cook center for Bbq'ing and relaxing on the patio under the stars.
We can't wait to return and stay longer next time.Response from Pat Lillo - 12/01/2011

My husband and I stayed at this home over the Thanksgiving weekend for some R & R. This home is a gem! A perfect location, walking distance to all of the amenities including walking the beach. Close to the downtown for more shopping and restaurants. The home was extremely comfortable and decorated beautifully. We would definetly come back. Pat thank you for a lovely retreat.
