It was comfortable and just what we needed for the two of us. We had wifi and there was a laundry facility which was useful. The electricity kept cutting out if we used the microwave and the toaster/oven at the same time though. So we could only use one of them at a time. But otherwise no problems. It was close to all the key things on Hollywood Boulevard and Franklin avenue and it we were able to drive to other places as the freeway was nearby.

We were very pleased to find this reasonably priced accommodation so convenient to Hollywood's transport and attractions. Without a car, we were able to easily access public transport and walk to supermarkets including the outstanding Gelsons. We used buses to visit excellent museums including Norton Simon in Pasadena, Lacma, the Tar Pits and the Getty Centre as well as our relatives. Anna, the apartment owner, was very helpful and friendly and immediately corrected a difficulty with the phone. The apartments are in a heritage listed house built in 1910 that is very nicely painted. Furnishings could be rated quite acceptable.
We would happily stay here again. -

The location of the Hollywood Suites couldn't have been better. The suite itself was very clean, had all the amenities of being at home and very comfortable. The outdoor space is so charming that you can have a relaxing coffee or even a BBQ. The area is filled with great restuarants, entertainment and shops. I really like the fact you are accessible to anna for any questions or concerns. My only complaint if any was that the wi-fi connection was very inconsistent. Other than that...Try it out!

This is a very comfortable apartment located within walking distance of Hollywood Boulevard and close to the freeway for connection to all other areas. The location is exactly where we expected, but if you are unfamiliar with the area Hollywood Boulevard is more run down than we expected and you may wish to stay in a nicer area. That said we never felt anything other than safe and comfortable.
As a family of four where the two kids would not share a bed the fourth was comfortable on the lounge/bed.
Check in is handled without the need for contact and worked well, there is a phone number for assistance which we did not require.
On the whole I would recommend it, with the only proviso that you fully understand the location

We made the right decision by staying at the Hollywood Hills Suites. It was at a very convenient location and we were greeted by anna with a special gift for our honeymoon. If we come back to la we will definitely stay here again; if you have any questions, call them before you book, they answered all my questions in a very nice way! There are plenty of restaurants, metro, The Pantages, and it is Hollywood!

We had a really good time here. Very easy to get to and very central. Close to Franklin Village shops and the great 101 Diner and only a few minutes away from Hollywood Vine Metro. The apartment was spacious, clean and very well laid out. Everything you could want is here. Anna was extremely accomodating on the couple of occasions we needed help. All in all, highly recommended. We'd definitely stay here again.

I have been very disappointed about my stay at the Hollywood Hills Suites, for these reasons:
Everthing is very old: furniture, sofas,dishes, the appliances.
No proper chest of drawers to stock our clocks (sorry for the english)
The apartment is dark generally, and a bit humid; with a stable smell of humidity all the time
The kitchen is basic and very small; the door of the oven was broken;
Very dirty and old the carpet in the bedroom and in the living-room.
The stores in the windows are in bamboo and very transparent.
Te only positive thing: very well located, close to the subway, groceries and activities.

It is unfortunate that you were disappointed with your stay. I would like to address a few inaccuracies however. you had regarding the comments you made. No where is it written that we offer a state of the art kitchen. It is newly renovated kitchen with nice natural oak cupboards, brand new counter top, stainless steel sink,while keeping the original tile trim. The kitchen is quite spacious for any standard with ample drawers and cupboards. Furthermore, the dishes are all fairly recent, due to the constant breakage and need for replacement. i do agree that some pots and baking pans are not brand new..but no home can have unscratched/unmarked cooking pots.
You mentioned proper chest of drawers..there are visibly in the second bedroom a full 5-drawer chest of drawers and full closet with chest of drawers in Master bedroom..I really am baffled by this comment.
The apartment is very bright actually-if you decide to lift the blinds..as it is situated on the top floor and faces both south and west.
The only bamboo blinds are in the kitchen, which were to matche the natural oak cabinetry...and they are not see through-or would it matter since you have no obstruction on the second floor-with only a view of palm trees.
The furniture is not modern, but neither is the style of the house...that does not make it old. both carpets in the livingroom and bedroom are new.
It is one thing to not appreciate the decor-that is a matter of personal taste...it is another to complain about services and amenities which were promised and not delivered- which is not the case here. It is unfortunate that you did not feel positive about your stay.We always strive to deliver a good value, clean and quality accommodations. -

Our apartment in the Hollywood Hills was perfect for a stay in la with our adult children. The apartment was cosy, clean and comfortable. There was a well equipped kitchen for preparing meals which is a great way to save money on holidays. The on site laundry was free of charge and opened onto the delightful back garden. Our apartment was within five minutes walk of a convenience store, the metro station and Hollywood Bld which showcases the Hollywood Walk of Fame. All this at a reasonable price.

Arriving after a 14 hour flight from australia, the directions were simple to follow which made the apartment easy to find. Walking is was a pleasant surprise, especially the convienience of the location. Beds were very comfortable. We were a couple travelling with 3 teenage boys, the 2 bedroom apartment was great, however, probalby better to only be travelling with 2 children as the 3rd needed to sleep in the lounge area. Kithcen facilities were perfect for our sort of travel allowing plently a fridge space in the large fridge and oven with cooktop also for those wishing to cook on their travels. When laying in bed at night it was lovely to hear the water feature running from the lovely back garden. Great location, walking distance to everything in Hollywood and close to all transport and shops. Anna was a wealth of local information and more than willing to assist/advise us as this was our first trip to Hollywood. Just around the corner from the Pantage Theatre (we went to the opening of Burn The Floor...Amazing!!!)also close to the W Hotel which has a great bar in it. Our next return trip we willl definatley be staying here again. Great value, service...home away from home.

What we didn't like:
There was too less tableware and kitchenware. For exampel: we were four persons but we had only three knives.
The garden chairs were broken, the furniture (bed,sofa) were not very comfortable.
But: The house looks nice and it's very near to Hollywood Boulevard, to Hollywood Bowl, Griffith Park etc. Anna is very friendly and the parking zone is great. We would come back! -

I stayed here with a group of friends for 5 days. When we arrived we received the entry code for the wrong unit and walked in to find someone else already in the unit. After calling 3 times we finally got put in a different unit. This left us extremely uncomfortable bc if we had another units access code who else has ours? In addition the door handle was loose and had to be fixed during our stay. The first night my friend sleeping on the sofa had to go without a blanket because the blanket they provided for us was dirty and appeared to have a vomit stain on it. The shower drain was clogged and the curtain had mold all over it. When we called to have these problems fixed we ended up waiting around for hours until the plumber came to fix it. Overall we did not have a great experience and did not feel safe and i would not recomend this place to anyone.

To give inaccurate and completely false review because I charged you for the extra 3 persons who were not originally included in your reservation is unethical. You waited one half hour for the plumber, if there was a dirty blanket (your word against mine), it was immediately replaced, and the code was given to you on your arrival over the phone without any wait at all. This is quite inaccurate and unethical on your part..and a great disservice to those who count on having an objective and constructive feedback about the place. -

Nice location, within easy walking distance the the hollywood strip.
After a few days away with three young children we were very appreciative of the laundry facilities.
Our children were 8, 5 and 2, so probably not the quietest for the other guests, but the accommodation was easily big enough to accommodate us all comfortably, with a bit of room for the kids to move and explore.
I enjoyed the use of the kitchen facilities after two weeks of eating out for all meals, and it was a short enough walk to the supermarket. Good off-street carparking (we also had two cars for one night as some friends visited and their car was happily accommodated also).
The only thing that I could find to pick on if I had to find something was that the very bottom of the shower curtain was mouldy (who's isn't? - I am sure no-one else even noticed!) other than that, everything was nice and clean and tidy and we certainly would recommend it. -
