Woodinville, Washington, United StatesEeww ants... Very plain and poorly stocked...
Left on 12/15/2011 for a stay in December 2011
The grounds of the apartments are beautiful, fountains, and garden areas. However, within 10 minutes of checking in we noticed lots of ants in the bathrooms and kitchen. We even found them in our bed. The decor is very spartan - no pictures on the wall and furniture is the cheapest Ikea has to offer. It has a large Hdtv with Roku box (Netflix, Hulu Plus, etc) and Direct TV. The Roku box was nice but the Direct TV didn't even get an HD signal so although we had an Hdtv the picture quality was fuzzy and poor and did not have a DVR option. For a 4 night stay we were only given one extra roll of toilet paper to share between 2 bathrooms, one serving of dish detergent and no extra paper towles. The Kitchen didn't even have Salt/Pepper and the only coffee filters already had coffee in them so you were stuck with the disgusting weak coffee that came in the filters.. The heat/AC unit was in the ceiling of one of the bedrooms and was very loud. So if you wanted the heat or ac on at night the noise of it running will keep you up. The road noise was loud - trucks and busses run all night in front of the unit. A maintenance man walkied in while my friend was sleeping it really scared her. We had no idea he was coming. After I got home I noticed that they called my home number not my cell and left a message. Before my stay I called and emailted them to verify that they had my cell number as the number to call and not my home number. They assured me that their records only showed my cell number. Our key didn't even work in all the stairwells so we were always worried we woud get trapped in the stairwell if we took the stairs instead of the elevator. On the day we checked out the elevator wasn't even working so we had to carry all our luggage down 4 floors. Although there was a hot tub / spa near our unit, our key did not give us access to it. The only one we could get into was in the Piero I building. If it was cheaper to rent I would be more forgiving of the faults of this unit but at this price you can get a lot better.
Response from AE Hospitality - 02/28/2012
Manager
Athough some of our properties have HD-DVR's this particular one does not, therefore it has not been marketed as a property with a DVR. If the guest did communicate his need of a DVR device, our reservations team would have referred him to another unit.
The ant situation is being exeggerated, as there were only two ants reported by our operations team - and we did provide pest control the following day.
The elevator being in service is an issue that AE Hospitality has no direct control over the building, and there are several elevators in the building.
The guest did threaten us by saying " he has strong social media presence" and wants a refund or he/she would write a bad review on AE Hospitality. As you can see from all other reviews, vast majority of our guest reviews are positive and this individual review does not reflect the truth about this location nor about AE Hospitality.
AE Hospitality takes pride in providing an enjoyable stay to all it's guests and we do not believe that this review reflects the truth about our properties.
Sincerely,
AE Hospitality Guest Relations Team -
