Thank you Jacqueline for opening your beautiful Villa to us. What an amazing view! We so enjoyed our time in Lourmarin. The villa was very clean and the kitchen had everything we needed to have several meals in, instead of eating out. We went to several markets in the area, but found the Friday market in Lourmarin the best. The weather was perfect the week we were there and we enjoyed relaxing around the pool several hours during our stay. It was truly a wonderful experience staying at Les Magnanarelles. We would highly recommend this Villa. Our only regret was that we didn't get to see the lavender in bloom.

Brevard, NCPicture-perfect house in a postcard-perfect village!
Left on 05/16/2013 for a stay in May 2013
Lourmarin has been named one of the prettiest villages in Provence for very good reasons. This old town is not only pretty, it offers good restaurants, sidewalk cafes, artisan bakeries and a knock-out Friday morning market.
Less than a mile away, Les Magnanarelles is an immaculate home with a long-range view of the Luberon Mountains. The house is located in a gated community, beautifully landscaped, with a pool, patio and outdoor eating facilities. There are two spacious bedrooms with comfortable queen-size beds and private bathrooms...one on the ground floor and one upstairs. This was the perfect arrangement for our two-couple group. (An additional sleeping loft and sofa bed offer capacity for more guests, albeit not as private).
The bathrooms are modern and spacious, the kitchen full-equipped. Be advised, however, that the ground floor is multi-level, with steps going up to the bedrooms and livingroom, which might create access difficulties for some people.
We enjoyed the patio and pool area almost every evening...viewing the thousands of stars which appear in the dark, dark sky, and listening to the community owl.
Our hosts, M. and Mme Bureau, make it easy to have a good time. They provided excellent information ahead of time, a welcoming bottle of local wine, and a list of tips for best restaurants, best markets, and local attractions. They communicated (in English) well and often, and the arrangements were made and confirmed easily.
It is sometimes difficult to choose a vacation property on-line. Do not hestitate to pick Les Magananarelles--you cannot do better at the price. Our four travellers ranked it highly, and agreed that we would love to return at some point in the future.

The fact that this was our third year in a row staying at
Les Magnanarelles is surely a strong endorsement.
This home has everything that you need and is clean and well maintained.
Coupled with the fact that it is located so close to the beautiful village of Lourmarin and within easy reach of so many other attractions, this is an ideal base for your trip to Provence. -

We stayed at Les Magnanarelles last month. It is an immaculate, pleasingly furnished, and spacious home. It is provided with all modern appliances that make your stay so easy. The location in a quiet, private area of beautiful residences within minutes of the conveniences of Lourmarin's village center, its boulangeries, pharmacy, numerous cafes, boutiques, and restaurants.
Management by owner and her resident agent was perfection. The pool is wonderful, the setting of the house and outdoors perfect. -

The house met all our expectations based on the online descriptions and photos of it. It was well equipped, very clean, well furnished and comfortable. We loved the pool, the patio in the evenings but did have trouble with getting English channels on the TV. Being able to communicate direct with the owner was a major advantage as she was very responsive to queries.Ideally we would have liked to be able to walk into Lourmarin but the house was a bit too far, especially given its location on the top of a hill; nevertheless, driving to and from it was easy. There were 4 adults in our party and the fact that the second upright shower was on a different floor from the bedroom was a slight inconvenience. Perhaps an upright shower could be installed in the ground floor bathroom?

The villa was a great place to stay. There were six of us and the villa was comfortable and roomy. We enjoyed our wine and cheese by the pool every evening. The weather was nice enough most nights for us to have dinner on the terrace.
Lourmarin is a great village and is a good location to start from to explore other towns and villages in Provence. -

Left on 01/26/2012 for a stay in September 2011
This villa is perfect for a long stay in Provence. Located in Lourmarin it is very spacious and well appointed. The owners do all they can to make your stay very pleasant. The views from the veranda are stunning. The pool area is beautiful and a perfect place to relax after a day of seeing the area. We had our drinks and dinner on the veranda most nights. We drove to the markets in the area most days and brought home wonderful cheeses, olives, meats and veggies to prepare our meal. Oh, and of course we had wine!
Lourmarin is a wonderful town with many restaurants and cafes. We spent a total of 31 days in Provence and Lourmarin was our favorite area. -

This is a very nice well maintained villa and is a good option if you are looking for a quiet tranquil location. It is also located within about an hour and half of most of the towns we wanted to visit in the Luberon. The owner, though located in Paris was very responsive to our questions or phone calls.

Les Magnanarelles lives up to it's pictures. It is a beautiful house and a lovely location. We were surprised at how quickly we settled into this house; it feels like home. We enjoyed our exercise walks into Lourmarin for our morning pastries. We would definitely rent this house again.

Annapolis, MarylandA Perfect Week in Provence
Left on 07/17/2011 for a stay in June 2011
There are few places I would rather be in late Spring than in Provence, and Les Magnanarelles is the perfect rental for a group of 6-8 to call home for a week and base their adventures in this beautiful part of the world. The villa is modern, spacious, welcoming and well maintained. Everything that one needs to live comfortably had been considered by the very agreeable and helpful owners, including an excellent kitchen, library and all sorts of recreational amenities. There is even a piano!
This property is exactly as advertised. You will be greeted by the owners' agent (brush up on your French) and given a tour of the house as well as final instructions on the operation of those perplexing french appliances! After settling in, you will have a chance to take in the magnificent view of the valley and the Luberon mountain, all framed in the property's extensive landscaping.
The villa is located on a hill and is peaceful and inviting. Our group always looked forward to "coming home" in the afternoon from an excursion and relaxing around the pool. Dinners on the patio were a highlight of the day.
The lovely village of Lourmarin is only about 1 km away, and an easy walk if you don't mind the hill on the way back! Lourmarin has plenty to offer including a number of good restaurants and the best market we experienced while in Provence. It would have been easy to spend the entire week just enjoying the villa, Lourmarin and the nearby countryside -

What a wonderful way to spend our vacation. Les Magnanarelles is a beautiful, quiet villa with excellent facilities, all within walking distance of the village of Lourmarin in the foothills of the Luberon Mountains. After our many interesting and fun filled day trips, the villa, the pool, the location, and the ambiance proved to be everything we had hoped for in our stay in Provence. Lovely memories, good times, and treasured adventures returned with us to the USa. Thank you Jacqueline Bureau, for letting us share your beautiful home.

Left on 02/04/2011 for a stay in September 2010
We spent a fantastic week in Provence with Les Magnanarelles as our home base in September 2010.
The home was lovely, light filled and spacious and had all that we needed to ensure a wonderful stay. The information folder with details on where to find a supermarket and suggestions for restaurants and wineries was of great assistance. The provision of games and puzzles ensured that we also spent some great family time together.
We fell in love with Lourmarin and surrounding villages and countryside. Les Magnanarelles provided a convenient location from which to explore.
We enjoyed our stay so much that we have already booked to return this summer for 2 weeks.
