i villini is a gorgeous luxury accommodation house for groups of 6 to 8 guests and is located in the Lovedale wine region of the Hunter Valley.
A luxurious, fully self-contained house; all 3 queensized bedrooms have ensuites and are privately located. i villini is accommodation that is unlike any other; no chintz, colourful, rustic and romantic; perfect for a romantic getaway, short break or a weekend getaway with friends or family. There is no traffic and there are no crowds, however we are close to Pokolbin and other Hunter Valley wineries and restaurants.

Just an hours drive from Newcastle Airport & 2 hours from Sydney.
From Sydney take the F3 freeway from Wahroonga, travel for about an hour to the Cessnock exit. At Cessnock turn right at Vincent street, follow to end & turn left into Maitland road, immediately right into Allandale road. Travel 5k, turn right into Lovedale road, travel 9k turn left into Camp road, turn immediately left into Talga road. Travel 5k along to 497 Talga road on the left. When the Hunter Expressway opens in December 2013 it will be even easier.

The inlaws and myself met the owner at the property who was most friendly and pleasant and showed us around the property which was far better in real life than the pictures on their website. The property itself is absolutely gorgeous. All rooms and facilities were clean and very comfortable. I Villini is Located within an easy reach to popular vineyards and restaurants and a short drive to the nearest town. Greeted by kanagaroos throughout the time we were there was a real treat for my sister in law's partner. We felt we were a world away in a Tuscan-esque style house which should be placed on your to stay list. Im looking forward to staying here again with a group of friends.

The correspondence between Robyn and I was excellent. The property was just delightful and met our needs quite well, located in the heart of the Hunter Valley. I like the fact that due to the weather being uncommonly cold for December, Robyn made sure we were rugged up and dry to enjoy the outdoor Elton John concert in comfort.

Very comfortable welcoming villa with all manner of extras. Three bedrooms allow separate areas for up to 3 couples. Despite the weather we had a very relaxing 3 night stay. Robyn made us very welcome on arrival. We will stay again. The grounds are superb and the outdoor area is very stylish.

Stayed for two nights during the month of august. Robyn was a fantastic host, and made the whole process of our stay easy for us. She even made the fire for us beforehand so it was nice and cosy when we arrived.
The house was amazing; absolutely gorgeous, just as the pictures and description on the website had accurately portrayed. Each bedroom was spacious, comfortable, and came equipped with electric blankets, air con/heaters, and fans. The kitchen was a treat, with plenty of natural light coming in during the day. I especially enjoyed using the coffee grinder in the mornings! Loved the alfresco area and the BBQ, which was easy to use. The only concern that we had with the house, as a family with 2 young (and active) kids, was that the stairs did not have a safety barrier, so we had to keep an eye on them whenever we were upstairs. Also I would have given 5 stars for the "cleanliness" rating but we found that the cot cover was rather dirty and smelt of wee, so we used a towel instead to cover the cot. The rest of the house was spotless though, so that's why I gave 4 stars here.
Outside, the property was beautiful and serene. The kids were excited to spot some kangaroos on our way in.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at "i villini" and wished we had stayed there for at least one more day to simply relax and enjoy the property. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a vacation rental in Hunter Valley.Response from Robyn Gill - 09/07/2011

We are about to leave for our third stay at I Villini. We go once a year for a 4 night midweek stay in the winter time. We keep going back because we love the Italian rustic charm of the house, the great views & the 'away from it all' feel that the property induces. We absolutely love the courtyard out the back, the view from upstairs especially first thing in the morning & siiting in front of the fire at night or on a rainy afternoon. The kangaroos hopping round the property just add another magical touch to the place. We could not believe that 4 days away could feel like 2 weeks! You will not be sorry if you choose to stay at I Villini & will find that Robyn & John are just the most wonderful hosts. Give it a try!

We stayed for 2 nights in order to show our UK friends the Hunter Valley . On arrival we were met by Robyn who promptly put her hubby to task setting up the log burner for us !! It ticked the boxes as we had great weather which meant we could breakfast in the outside area ,and also kangaroo spot ,which is always a hit with visitors ! And evenings in front of the open fire with purchased local wines and cheeses. Infact the place was so lovely we cut short the wine tasting in order to spend more time in the property !!! Not sure that is good for the profits of the wineries ...ah well !

I Villini isa beautiful home to stay in. The garden was lovely but my favourite was the downstairs log fire. We just had good fun relaxing - sipping red wine by the fire. Robyn is a wonderful host. The kitchen facilities had everything that I could think of. Will truely be coming there again

I've lost track of the number of times we've stayed at iVillini over the last 10 years - there is nowhere else like it for a really special place to stay in the Hunter Valley. It has character, charm, comfort, fabulous amenities, kangaroos, wonderful views...
It is such a beautiful place it's hard sometimes to drag ourselves away from the house itself to visit the wineries. It can be too tempting to hang out near the pond, in the garden, amongst the trees, reading a book picked out from the eclectic collection downstairs or just watching the kangaroos as they check out who is staying there this time.
You can sit outside and enjoy a long, leisurely breakfast under the vines; cook up dinner on the BBQ or in the very well equipped kitchen; set up a grand meal on the dining table indoors complete with candelabras; drink wine on one of the many balconies dotted around the house; lounge around reading the paper on the window seat in the kitchen area; curl up next to the fire in the lounge room downstairs; or watch as the hot air balloons fly over the valley early in the morning.
And Robyn always gives us a wonderful welcome.
Having stayed in quite a few different places in the Hunter Valley, iVillini stands out a mile. I can't recommend the place highly enough. -

From the first photos of the property seen on-line before booking (without hesitation) and then first glimpses as we drove up the driveway to i villini, we knew we were in for a very special weekend away & unique experience. We were not disappointed - a wonderful shared experience with very dear friends that we will all remember for a lifetime. A beautiful place to stay and create memories. "A place where angels live".
