Located in Lovedale Wine Country, close to Pokolbin and all the attractions of Hunter Valley, Burncroft is a self-contained, self-catering luxury retreat for groups of 12 lucky guests. With an enviable outlook over surrounding vineyards and views to the Brokenback Ranges, Burncroft is close to many quality restaurants and numerous Hunter Valley attractions such as golf, hot-air ballooning and horse-riding. There are six spacious bedrooms, all with large ensuite bathrooms, overlooking the swimming pool and rose garden. The property can be booked by one group only.

We rented Burncroft for a weekend in June 2012 for a family gathering. The house was a great size for 8 adults and 4 children. The house was very clean with beautiful views over Lovedale. Every bedroom had its own ensuite and bedrooms beautifully furnished.
Both Barbara and Bill were lovely hosts who were happy to help our family with any requests.
We would highly recommend the house for relaxing stay any time of year in the Hunter Valley.

Wow just had a great weekend here with a bunch of friends - relaxing poolside at dusk, drink in hand watching a rambling mob of kangaroos hopping through the rows of grapes was a real highlight!
My bed was comfy and the bathroom was bigger than I expected (eveyone had their own en suite) with a lovely big bath to myself which was great.
The hosts were really helpful with some local tips of great places to visit. Even though we totally felt like we were in the country (with huge skies, a beautiful view, really enjoyable tank water - I even filled up my water bottle before I left, and to top off the oh so country experience, we collected eggs from their chickens!) there was also ready access to our city comforts like great espresso in only the next road along, and heaps of places close by to visit.
The place was tidy and well stocked. I didn't realise it at the time but the breakfast materials are for one cooked breakfast and one continental, for some reason I thought we'd get more for a second cooked breakfast but I was mistaken. I would recommend planning ahead and bringing some groceries for meals in since you'll probably want to hang around and take advantage of the house and grounds (they even have their own cows!).
Oh and the hosts were really generous with firewood too, which is so much better than elsewhere I've stayed - the fire was all set and even lit for our arrival on our first night, which was so atmospheric.
I really enjoyed my time here, before we left my friends and I already booked in again for our annual weekend away next year too. -

What a find! We organised five other couples to join us here for a celebration weekend, and it was perfect. There was plenty of room to hang out together in the big living areas, but we could also retreat to the privacy of our own rooms when we needed some space. Having our own ensuites (with baths!) also contributed to the harmony of the weekend.
We had a great meal at a local restaurant on our first night, but as the kitchen was really well-equipped, we decided to gather some local goodies and cook up a feast on our second night. It was nice to be able to linger over some of the wines we had bought, relax and not worry about going out anywhere.
Views were mesmerising, hosts were friendly, and rooms very comfortable. Didn't get to try the pool, as the weather was a bit cool, but we had a lot of laughs with the croquet set on the lawn. We would definitely come back.
