History - The ruins of a Celtic fort (4th-3rd centuries B.C.) bear witness of the antiquity of the settlement. The Romans colonised the area leaving their mark above all in a large necropolis. Chiesa di San Giorgio - built at the end of the 14th century, it houses a magnificent painting by the Flemish painter Jean de Herdt (1657) and the altar- piece attributed to Palma il Giovane.
Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II - Its trademarks are the Palace of the Podestà and the civic tower, on which a fresco of a lion, symbol of the Venetian rule, bears the date 1442.
Museum of Natural Sciences - founded in 1996 by the local council.
Porto Turistico - It is the largest marina on European lakes. It houses a multifunctional amphitheatre, where shows, exhibitions and events take place, besides the public library, sports clubs, bars and restaurants.

GermanyThe house and the place are like an Italian dream.
Left on 05/20/2013 for a stay in April 2013
The house is like an Italian dream. The house has all modern comforts. Moreover, it offers a lot of privacy as well as a private parking spot, a beautiful garden, a wonderful terrace and an unforgettable view on the lake and the mountains.
The house has a beautiful kitchen including all necessities, a luxurious living room, two well-kept bedrooms, and a comfortable bathroom with a toilet included. All in all, the house represents La dolce vita.
The city center is within walking distance and so are the harbour and swimming pool. Cities like Bergamo and Brescia are in close vicinity and even Verona and Venice are possible destinations for an enjoyable day trip. Additionally, there are plenty of beautiful walking routes around the house which do not require the use of a car. In short, casa Viola, looked after by the hospitable and warm-hearted lady of the house antonella, is the perfect holiday address. The house, the culture, the nature and the friendly and caring people will make your holiday an unforgettable experience.

East Yorkshire, EnglandPerfect Setting!
Left on 10/21/2012 for a stay in September 2012
We have stayed at Casa Viola twice now, a week in July and a week in September this year (2012). We have been doing some short term work in Bergamo and wanted to find a nice place to extend our stay and after some searching luckily we found Louvere and Casa Viola! It's a perfect home from home, everything is beautifully clean and antonella is a perfect host...nothing is too much trouble and she left us a bottle of wine on each occasion we were there which was very nice :)
Casa Viola is within walking distance of the town if you want to eat out but not drive, which is great if you want to have a glass of wine or prosseco with your dinner.
Just one tip, take plenty of mosquito repellent if you are planning on sitting out on the terrace in the evenings which is a really lovely thing to do as it overlooks the lake and the sailing boats.
We are planning on returning again next year when we go back to Italy which speaks for itself really.
All in all a place I would highly recommend!Response from Antonella Cadorin - 10/22/2012

Left on 08/09/2012 for a stay in July 2012
We spent a wonderful week in July at antonella's house on the lake. The house is fully equipped with everything you could need (including fans!). The rooms are all a good size and the house is an easy walk to everything in Lovere. Antonella is a wonderful hostess and is easily accessible should you have any questions. There are many maps and guides to local sights should you want to tear yourself away from the beautiful view and go exploring. We look forward to another stay here.

London, EnglandStunning villa with literally, amazing view of lake iseo
Left on 07/22/2012 for a stay in June 2012
Our stay in Lovere was an amazing experience. The landlady, Antonella, was an absolute pleasure to deal with even before we arrived at the villa. She made us feel incredibly welcome and was extremely helpful.
The kitchen facilities were well-maintained and was more than superbly equipped for self catering which we did most evenings. Our holiday was made even better by sitting out on the large balcony of an evening over-looking the lake. The main double bedroom had stunning views of the marina which just added to the pleasure of our stay. If like ourselves you use public transport there is a bus that runs directly from Bergamo bus station to Lovere and only takes about 50 minutes to an hour. The bus stops a matter of metres from the villa or you can continue through to Lovere town centre where the bus terminates so there's no chance of missing your stop. But if you do drive there is ample off-road parking. Words can't describe how gorgeous Lovere is. Although we ate in most evenings, should you want to explore the local restaurants there are some gorgeous eateries situated in and around the town centre. The food is of an incredibly high standard and reasonably priced from between 20 -30 Euros including drinks (obviously depending on how much you drink)
We could go on and on telling you about Lovere and our stay but one of our favourite days was travelling to Monte Isola. The ferry, that can be picked up from Lovere town centre, runs two to three times a day and time tables are available at the ferry pick-up point. There are bikes that can be rented there for eight to ten Euros and you can cycle around the entire island in less than two hours, while stopping off for refreshments. There was literally no part of our stay that we disliked at all, in fact it was one of our best holidays to date and we would highly recommend it. We will definitely be visiting Lovere again next year.

We had a lovely time at Casa Viola, the house & location are fantastic. The view over the lake is very beautiful.
Walking distance to the town centre around 10 min, supermarket 5 min. The Ferry port is in Lovere and does great trips.
The Road to Lovere can be busy at times and therefore can be noisy.
Antonella is a great host and has been very helpful to us.Response from Antonella Cadorin - 07/13/2012

CorkCharming Casa Viola in a great location
Left on 06/05/2012 for a stay in May 2012
Our expectations of Casa Viola were met in full.
Antonella is a very welcoming host who met us on the day of our arrival. We were filled in on local restaurants and various attractions. She lives close by and was available if required to deal with any issues that may have arose.
The house on its own ground is on an elevated site overlooking the marina in the south of town of Lovere. It is accessed off Via National by car which takes a little bit getting used to. It has a very useful pedestrian access to a laneway at lower garden level which allows the ten minute walk to centre of town. The house is a two up two down over a basement with bath at ground floor and shower in basement. It has a terrace at ground floor level, balcony at first and small garden at basement level all facing east and south with stunning views over the lake and town. The modest house has loads of character with a real feel of a home. Some original panelled doors to all main rooms gave a sense of its history. It has a very comfortable living room and main bedroom.
All equipment worked well-Wifi running on 2 iphones and 2 ipad without fuss and with speed. Plenty of hot water all through the day and Laundry in basement worked very well.
Lovere stands at the north of Lago Iseo and at the south of a long valley running to the alps. It has a compact historic centre. Monte Isola is a lovely day trip as is Pisogne -across the lake -a town of character with a stunning setting and with train connection to Brescia. Brescia is worth a day visit and on the way is the Franciacorte Outlet Shopping centre. Riva di Solto is the most stunning village on the lake - 6k south of Lovere -on a mesmerising road that follows the lake's west bank. A partly medieval village almost cut off by the mountains behind is magical. Zu Restaurant to the south has food matched to its brilliant setting .North up the valley is Capo di Ponte with its prehistoric rock carvings and Darfo Boario Therme with its Terme.

Marquette, MICharming place overlooking Lake Iseo
Left on 04/20/2012 for a stay in April 2012
One of the allures of visiting Lovere is the beautiful Lake Iseo nestled in the mountains. The view of this gem from the Casa Viola is breathtaking and a sheer pleasure to wake up to and absorb while sipping a cup of coffe on the spacious deck overlooking the marina. The location is just a 15 minute walk to the town center. The accomodations are delightful and spacious enough that one can enjoy some privacy generally not accorded in hotel situations. The kitchen was stocked with all the amenities necessary for us to prepare meals and relax at the dinner table. We found both bedrooms to be spacious and include a great deal of storage to unload the suitcase and feel at home. The two bathrooms are are a real plus (especially when traveling with a teenager).
Overall, we found the Casa Viola to be delightful, quaint yet spacious, clean and well kept, and quite reasonable with a view to die for. We shall return.
