We stayed at Villa Bossi Tanguwesia with another family. The villa comes with a house-keeper, cook, and driver (Made). We thought it would be hard for the villa to live up to the photos but it certainly does. The inside of the villa is great and the outdoor area and horizon pool are even better. There's even a music dock out the back for your iPod for some outdoor chill out tunes. The villa backs on to the beach. The beach is black sand, but not dirty, so the water is clear if that makes sense. We spent most of the time when we were at the villa outside - around the pool, dining table, and under the cabana. The villa is away from the busy parts of Bali (around Kuta) which was what we wanted. It takes a few hours in the car to get to the villa from Denpasar. The nearest village is a 15 min drive away. Apart from drinking Margarita's at the villa itself, the highlights were; a day trip snorkelling at Menjangan Island, a trip to little known but spectacular waterfall, and a great dinner at The Damai Restaurant up in the hills looking back over the ocean. Caroline is very good and supplies all the information you need about the villa and surrounding areas. Definitely recommended.

We have just spent 5 amazing days at Villa Bossi - wow! Caroline you are to be commended for running such a wonderful holiday villa, from the moment we walked in we knew we had made the right decision in booking Villa Bossi. The Gardens for me and pool area were most impressive, beds comfortable and staff terrific. The manual was great in assisting us to choose restaurants and day activities all suggestions were excellent so thank you. The extra touches like the iPad and music doc station also much appreciated we wanted for nothing during our stay.
Thanks for having Mia's birthday cake organised she had a terrific birthday swimming with Dolphins followed by a nice dinner and beautifully decorated birthday cake she was a very happy 5 year old.
My only suggestions, there needs to be more lighting in the lounge / bar area very dark in the evening.
Thanks very much we will certainly be spreading the word just how fantastic North Bali is and in particular Villa Bossi! -

We had an excellent stay at Villa Bossi. The house is beautiful, and has everything there you need. It really felt like a home from home. It is very private and quiet, which is just what we wanted.
All of the staff at Bossi are wonderful! They worked so hard to make our stay as pleasant as possible. They cooked lovely meals for us which we enjoyed so much and looked after us so well.
We also booked Kadek (Massage) most days, we all commented that it was the best massage we had ever had!
We can't wait to come back to Bossi in the near future.

The location on the beach, the high quality of the villa and everything in it, and the beautifully designed and maintained garden were stunning and made for a dream holiday. The villa, pool and garden are stunning and exceeded all our expectations. In particular the staff made our stay wonderful. They made us excellent food and couldn't do enough to make our stay comfortable and memorable.
The villa is tucked away in a quiet spot, so you can't walk to local amenities, but you can happily spend days by the pool or having massages in the relaxation area. The day trip out snorkelling to Menjangan island in the nature reserve in Western Bali was the best location for this we had been anywhere in the world. I would recommend a holiday here to anyone who needs to get away from it all and treat themselves to a luxurious holiday in a beautiful natural setting. -

Le chemin est long pour arriver dans ce havre de paix ! La villa Bossi se mérite ! Maison, jardin et piscine magnifiques, personnel plus que gentil et compétent (bons petits plats à la demande). Des activités intéressantes assez proches comme la balade en mer pour faire de la plongée ou snorkeling ou alors celle à la rencontre des dauphins(on vient vous prendre en bateau devant la villa!). Nous avions fait un stop de 2 nuits à Ubud avant la villa Bossi ce qui nous a permis de découvrir les autres trésors de l'île et de ne plus faire de longs trajets ensuite.
Le seul bémol de notre séjour: la plage, pas top,des algues douteuses dans l'eau donc pas de baignade ! Mais la piscine est tellement belle et grande ! -

The six of us were made to feel at home by the friendly, cheerful and efficient staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them and the driver - Made - took us on any tour we wanted, and recommended destinations and took us to evening restaurants when we required it.
The food we ate in the Villa was very,very good.
The villa was very well appointed, very comfortable and a wonderful location right on the seafront.
We will certainly return. -

The Villa is beautiful, spacious, well equipped and well situated. The dedicated team with their wonderful service really made a big difference and made our stay a great and memorable one. Please pass our special thanks to:
* Made: many thanks for his kindness to drive us around calmly and safely and for telling us some histories of Bali like a professional guide.
* Iluh, Cadec and another girl (I forgot her name, but she is pregnant): many thanks for cooking all the delicious local dishes, we just loved everything that they prepared. Many thanks for having to accommodate our schedule.
* The gardener: many thanks for his daily non-stop hard work to have given us a nice and neat garden.
* The security: many thanks for making sure the safety around villa so that we were able to have sound sleeps.
The one-week vacation spent at Villa Bossi was much more beyond what we had expected thanks to all the thoughtful arrangements and the services such as laundry service, in-house massage and facials etc...

We had a wonderful time in Villa Bossi!
The house is absolutely beautiful, spacious, well equipped, and very nicely decorated (and I mean very nicely decorated as you would rarely find in a rental home, let alone your own home ..). It is an oasis of tranquility in a truly beautiful garden bordering the sea. The location is also excellent in a very calm dead end street near the sea with only a handful of other villas in the same area, which means you can enjoy great privacy.
Upon our arrival in the airport in Denpasar, driver Made greeted us with a big smile. After a 3 hour ride, we received a warm welcome from the staff. They are just extremely friendly and cook really delicious food which you can choose from a menu with great variety of local and Western dishes. They serve you 'apéritif' before dinner, and discretely take care of the house, so you can fully enjoy a relaxing holiday, with no worries about preparing food, shopping, washing or cleaning.
The pool is also very large and has two special seats in the water from where you can enjoy the magnificent view on the sea. The bale bengong is also very nice for reading a book, having a drink, see the sunset, or enjoy a massage.
We also very much enjoyed the quieter north of Bali, and the many opportunities for daytrips and activities, such as diving and snorkeling, trekking through rice fields and unspoiled nature, and the dolphin spotting (with pick-up on the beach in front of the villa!), just to name a few.
This must be one of the most beautiful places on earth. We can highly recommend this villa, but please do not share with too many, since we will come back soon!

Excellent staff,upright and honest,very good cooking, experienced and very friendly driver, all great with kids.
If we ever come back to Bali, it will certainly be in Villa Bossi.

You will love this beautifull home, the furnishings and views are top notch. The staff are very hard working and friendly people. The pool is wonderfull. Only negatives are the long drive from the airport, about 1 1\2 hours and the remoteness. Some would like the remotness but we would stay next time closer to restaurants and local shopping. The biggest complaint for us was that we had to ask several times over several months to get our security deposit back. At one point we just thought she would never return it, and then it was the wrong amount.

This is my 3rd trip to Bali and first time to northern Bali. I am hesitant to say too much because I would hate to give out the message that it is the best place to go. Part of the delight is the natural unspoiled real Bali. Villa Bossi Tanguwesia is the most wonderful relaxing place to stay. The staff were a treat! Competent, good at their job, pleasant, great cooks, lovely people. The art work was nice, the pool superb, the rooms a delight. Well done Caroline.I'm planning a return visit.

Ce fut un des meilleurs moments de notre voyage. C'était le paradis! La villa,qui donne sur la plage, est magnifique, spacieuse, décorée avec beaucoup de goût, ainsi que le jardin et la piscine à débordement. Le staff était aux petits soins. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié toutes les attentions des propriétaires (guide d'information très complet, Ipad à disposition, ainsi qu'un ordi portable) et la voiture (pour 7) et le chauffeur très gentil attachés à la villa. Les soins prodigués par l'esthéticienne étaient super!Je pense que nous y retournerons et je recommande chaudement cette location autour de moi!

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Bossi with our family and friends at the beginning of may 2012.
The house is amazingly decorated and equiped. The house employees are very nice and very helpful. Taking care of the housekeeping as well as of the cooking, preparing delicious balinese meals.
The garden and infinity swimmingpool are also fantastic.
We really enjoyed this peaceful place, taking rest staying at the lovely villa as well as enjoying visiting around. We went twice for diving at Menjangan and on the us Liverty wreckship. Also hiking into the small balinese villages around, among rice-fields. The Villa Bossi also proposes a very kind driver, from and to Denpasar airport (around 2h30 drive) a well as for discovering Bali during your stay. Finally Caroline and Tim, the owners are very nice and always ready to help, organizing evrything so well and giving tips to make your stay even more enjoyable. Really a place to recommand for you, your family and/or friends, up to 8 people. -

De retour en France, nous voudrions vous exprimer notre Entiere satisfaction sur notre séjour à la Villa Bossi. Il arrive parfois, qu'après avoir choisi sur un catalogue ou sur internet, un lieu de vacances en étant attiré par les photos du site publicitaire, la réalité nous ramène à une évidence : rien ne correspond !!!
Et bien ce n'est absolument pas le cas pour la Villa Bossi. Tout est parfait. Nous sommes tous unanimes, et quand je dis tous, cela veut dire qu'il y avait parmi nous, des caractères et des cultures différents. Cela ne peut que valoriser les avis de tous.
Merci d'avoir respecté vos clients.
Quant au personnel, l'unanimité également, et une réelle tristesse de laisser Kadek et Iluh sur le pas de la porte. Nous ne pouvons que vous féliciter pour le professionnalisme et la gentillesse de Madé, et l'incroyable travail quotidien de votre jardinier.
Nous sommes tous d'accord pour renouveler l'expérience, et gardons jusqu'à là , les souvenirs dans nos yeux et dans nos mémoires.

Nous avons séjournés à la Villa Bossi en février 2012, durant une semaine. Entre amis, 4 adultes et 3 enfants, un réel bonhneur que de passer du temps dans cet endroit magnifique. Nous avons fort apprécié l'endroit très calme et très chaleureux ! Une semaine à la villa Bossi passe hélas beaucoup trop vite !
Nous gardons un merveilleux souvenir de cette semaine et nous pouvons que recommander un séjour à Villa Bossi !
Dommage que ce soit si loin, on y reviendrait chaque année !

we spent 8 days in villa Bossi (we have 3 girls 16, 14 and 6) and it was just 8days in Paradise
the House is beautiful and charming, the swimming pool great,staff allways ready to take care, and the presence and efficiancy of the driver Made (and is car) allow to alternate rest at the house and visit of the country

if you do not know which one to book, let say that if you are a family, book Villa Bossi and if you are 4 couples of friends, book villa Banjar

We, being family of 4 generations, had a great stay. The villa is just like on the web pages, very nice the pool is nice, the gardens are nice as with every thing about it.
The staff are excellent, from being picked up in Kuta on time, to being greeted by the staff on arrival and during the whole stay, they couldn't do enough for us.
To try and pick anything that needed changing a week wasn't long enough (which next time we will book longer) and maybe a bit more selection on the menu for the meals that they cook for you, but you can take your own recipes and they will cook them for you, as well as buying all the ingredients at the local market for you.

It sounds almost impossible but the stay was excellent on all views. Perfect welcome with drinks, food included on the first evening so no worries when you arrive. The location by the seaside was marvelous, especially in the evenings. They clean your room every day so sand and dirt from the visits disappear without even worrying. The choice is yours to eat in the villa or go out and enjoy a nice meal and maybe drinks afterwords in Lovina. Ilhu (the cook) is very talented.
A very nice place to stay with friend or (big) family! You will be feeling on holiday definitely! -

We just got back from our two week stay at villa bossi with a group of eight friends and it was truly amazing! Iluh, Kadek and Kadek are the nicest people on earth and Made is without a doubt the best driver ever! The villa has everything you can ever dream of: a peaceful view, a refreshing and tasteful pool, spacious bed and bathrooms, a patio to relax, all the multimedia fun you need and the most delicious food on the island (special thanks to Iluh!). Our visit at villa bossi was beyond imagination and I would strongly recommend everyone to go there!

This is a very nice place to stay. We were there for a week in May. Lots of space, lots of rooms, right on the beach. We thought this location was not the best for us. We were going to Bali to explore the island not to stay put and relax. We don't like to sit and relax too much we wanted adventure so every time we wanted to do something it was expensive to pay for a driver and it was far away from most adventures. having said that, Madi the driver was great. He leases the Owner's van which is nice and clean and he is very informative. Go to the falls that are on the north side of the Island. Go to abud and to the Monkey jungle and snorkeling. Just ask Madi... he will tell you what to do. Massages were okay. Not great. The food was okay at the villa but we enjoyed the other restaurants in the little town nearby even more. It was nice having breakfast right there. Everyone is very helpful and hospitable. Our big complaint was we did not get our deposit back for months. I am sure they will correct that problem.

Having stayed in several other accommodations across the island of Bali we must congratulate Caroline and her wonderful team for the amazing experience they have created at Villa Bossi. From the moment of our arrival we were made to feel that we had walked into our own home. Our children are often still heard quietly wishing for Illu to appear! I can not sum up in a few words how wonderful the Villa is, so I will just recommend that if you are even contemplating a stay at the villa do not hesitate any longer; book now! Thankyou once again to the team at Villa Bossi.

It's the third time that we stayed in Villa Bossi. From the moment you come into the villa you have a 'zen' feeling. Iluh and Kadek welcome you and make your stay as pleasant as possible.They cook the best local food but also whatever you request.The rooms are spacious and are decorated in a very beautiful balinese style.The outdoor showers (in 3 of the 4 rooms) are a must!! You have a lot of activities at offer and Made,the driver, is also a very good guide !! I recommend the snorkeling at menjangan island !! You can go to the spa at ten minutes from the villa. They have the best four hands massage! Villa Bossi is the most beautiful villa I have ever seen and if you've been here once then you don't want to go anywhere else! I will recommend the villa to all my friends. I already have two friends who shared 'the Villa Bossi experience' and they enjoyed their stay as much as we did!

This our first stay in Villa Bossi and it was perfect.
The staff is so nice, they just want everybody to be happy and having a happy vacation!!! The villa is the place to be. Villa Bossi has all the luxury, everything is so clean and perfectly maintained. Iluh,Kadek and Made are doing everything to transform your stay into paradise. And the food, Kadek is really a MasterCook!! Our stay was Wonderfull.

We stayed at the villa with some friends. The accomodation of this villa is simply perfect. All bedrooms are with airco and outdoor bathrooms. The outdoor setting is very stylish , with a great relaxing patio and an amazing swimming pool with view on the sea. The food is great and the staff very professional and helpful . The atmosphere is very relaxing. We had a splendid time in the Villa Bossi, and will definitely come back next year!

We were a group of friends, 7 in total, which included one who was disabled.
The staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and help us to understand the Balinese way of life. The villa was luxurious and worthy of a 5 star rating. Nothing like a 1 hour massage on the upper deck overlooking the ocean. A great holiday in a fantastic Villa. -

We stayed in this villa together with some friends. The accomodation of this villa is comparable to 5 star hotels, but the difference is you are the only tourist in the villa. The interior of the villa is very tastful. Each bedroom (with airco) has his own outdoor bathroom, just as in Pool house villa´s of 5 star hotels. The outdoor setting is great, lounge style, with a great swimming pool, terras, and relaxing patio. The breakfast, lunch & dinner is served outside, with view on the sea. The atmosphere is very relaxing, with friendly helpful staff. We had a splendid time in the Villa Bossi, and will definitely come back next year!

In order to show my appreciation for the staff at Villa Bossi I would like to warmly recommend this Villa. Upon my arrival I was greeted with welcome drinks and very friendly staff. The staff remained extremely helpfull throughout my stay and I had a few amazing diners at Villa Bossi (the have a list available to choose from). Well prepared & served with the necessary flair & style. I liked the home because it was extremely well kept (clean) and warmly decorated. Not the rental properties I visted before. I just love it.

This part of Bali will make you love Bali. The Villa Bossi is like a dream come true: right on the beach, very quiet.
The villa is spacious, the outdoor area is very nice and well looked after. The pool is great. Caring and helpful staff. We've spent one week, it was too short! Hope to come back one day. -

Wij zijn volop aan het bekomen van onze fantastische reis naar Bali en prachtig verblijf in villa bossi. Wij danken julle duizendmaal dat we de villa en het uitstekende, vriendelijke personeel gedurende ons verblijf ter beschikking hebben gekregen. Het was werkelijk een droomverlof, we waanden ons in het aards paradijs !!! We feliciteren jullie met de uitstekende equipe, die steeds onvoorwaardelijk voor ons klaar stond.
We hopen dat het met Iluh haar zwangerschap verder probleemloos verloopt. Zij was een rots in de branding en leidde het hele team zeer professioneel. Madé was een heel goede chauffeur en gids en voerde ons veilig door de wirwar van auto's en brommers. De andere Madé verzorgde de tuin piccobello, het was een ware lust voor het oog zoals de tuin erbij lag, een dikke duim voor hem ! Kadeh was het keppekindje van Paul, hij mocht met haar mee op de brommer en zij bracht hem naar de barbier. Paul voelde zich terug tiener achteraan op de brommer.
We raden iedereen ten volle aan om zeker van deze bestemming te komen genieten!!! -

A simply amazing Villa!!! Myself, my husband, our 3 young toddlers, my brother & his wife all very comfortably stayed at Villa Bossi for 5 nights in February 2011. We felt like royalty being served our food and driven to where ever we wanted to visit. The staff were wonderful, friendly & accommodating ... though not 'in your face'. It was so nice to sit to a prepared dinner & have the staff look after our 10mth old while we ate, rather then us taking it in turns to eat!
If I was to find something to complain about, it would be the method of payment. Because the Villa is privately managed, we had to transfer funds through the bank so had quite a few bank fees to pay. If they had a credit card arrangement, it would have been easier, quicker & cheaper from our end.
We can't wait for our next visit! -

We stayed at the Villa for 2 weeks. Being on the beachfront was really lovely and the pool was great. We enjoyed relaxing in the pool, walks along the beach and watching the fishermen.
The staff were terrific and friendly and the food was delicious and nothing was too much trouble.
Made was a great driver and tour guide and showed us around North Bali. We enjoyed stopping by the roadside and feeding the monkeys. We visited some beautiful Temples - the Temple on the Lake is very picturesque. We also went to see one of the waterfalls, the hot springs and the botanical gardens which were all lovely.
Made the gardener does a great job in keeping the pool and the gardens neat and tidy.
A must is to be picked up from the Villa early in the morning by a fishing boat and go to see the Dolphins swimming in the sea. The sea is so calm, it is more like a lake. Had a great morning and there were plenty of dolphins to see.
The weather was terrific - it only really rained the afternoon we arrived and the evening we left but in between everyday was sunny.
All in all we had a great time and would recommend staying at Villa Bossi.
The Villa is lovely but it was the friendliness of the staff that made our stay so enjoyable.
We would like to thank Iluh, Kadek and ayu for looking after us, Made the driver for showing us around and for taking us from and to the airport, Made the gardener for keeping the property looking so lovely and the security staff who were all so friendly.
Also we would like to thank Caroline for helping us in arranging our stay and for her promptness in replying to any questions we had and for providing useful information about our stay Bali.
For australian visitors - we found that we did not need american dollars as you can change aussie dollars at the money exchangers and visas can be paid in aussie dollars. Also the exchange rate for Rupiah is better in Bali.

I've been to Bali more than 10 times and stayed with many private villas before. But I can say Villa Bossi is the most beautiful one and just like a dream home to me! The villa is calm & pretty, the swimming pool is large & clean, the view is incredible...
Indeed, it's hard to get back normal life after this relaxing vacation, but I'm planning my next trip to North Bali already. -

We stayed at Villa Bossi during the end of the rainy season and had a blast. The Villa is very roomy and well kept. The rainy season was not a big deal, causing rain mostly only in the evening/nights. Only once we had a day shower. The house staff do their best to accomodate all your wishes and took well care of everybody. We had not so much chances to travel around the island due to traveling with a small child and also some flu/stomach issues in our group. Nevertheless we saw lots of nice and beautiful things. I personally went diving for one day at Tulamben and can only recommend that to anybody into diving. The people of Bali are very welcoming and friendly. We were lucky to see the Balinese New Years celebrations and it was great! The value at the time of our stay was unbeatable.

Marvellous stay, helpfull staff, great food prepared by Ilhou, Madé the driver was not only a good driver but also an experienced guide, we recommend the snorkling and also a visit to Ubud. We will recommend this location to friends and they will see us definitly back next year.

Staying at Villa Bossi was an amazing experience for our whole family. The setting was beautiful, the staff helpful and polite and nothing was too much trouble for them. Ilah rode her bike to Singaraja to buy us a special birthday cake and rode home carrying it on her knee! The local Balinese people were always happy and friendly and we loved the food provided, the infinity pool and the peace and quiet. Definitely, 'a little piece of heaven!'

The staff is wonderfull,they are so nice,and they just want everybody to be happy during their vacation!!!
The villa is lovely also the garden and the surroundings are very quiet...we like this area...it is for me the place to be, to unwind.
Villa Bossi has all the luxury one can imagine, everything is so clean and perfectly maintained.

Our stay in the villa was beyond phenomenal. Days fueled with activities (snorkeling, rafting, or just riding around the island on the motorbikes) were perfectly in balance with 'resting' days at the Villa.
And yes, it's hard to get used to regular life again after days of snoozing away between books, meals, sleep & swimming pool. The relax-mode seems to come with the view in Bali. Many thx! -

Staying in Villa Bossi is the perfect mix between the luxury of a fivestar hotel and the privacy of your own villa on a unique piece of this beautiful island.
The pictures on the website can't really express the feelings you'll have in this wonderful house.
Villa Bossi means: served by friendly staff, eating delicious Balinese food, sleeping in luxurious bedrooms, swimming in a large pool, having your own tourist information centre, enjoying your private beach, watching the stars at night, getting waked by jumping dolphins, being driven by a personal driver & living between the typical ricefields.
The northern part of Bali is also the best place to stay: less touristic, quiet environment, beautiful nature,...

That was my best travel!
The villa is so beautifull, clean, spacious.
The staff is very nice. They are always in charge of us. The cooking is delicious. The guide is always present for us, he makes discovering us a most of beautifull places and landscapes.
The organisation of the booking of the villa with the owner is perfect.

I had a great great time in Villa Bossi. The staff is so caring and friendly, excellent service! The first time in my life I went snorkling, it was breathtaking...
It was a relaxing holiday, soaking up the sun and the culture in Ubud and Kuta. Playing Uno with the kids in the bale, picknicking in the garden, watching the sunset... just enjoy! It's the most beautiful villa (my favourit is the open air shower!) in the most beautiful part of the world!
I would like to come back and try out the love seat and the new room!
