We stayed here back in sept 2011( sorry it's a bit late!) during the RWC and it was just lovely. The view is amazing. I loved watching the sunset from the balcony. It was very simply to get around without a car. The bus stop is just down the driveway and we took it into Petone and Wellington. Gus and Gill we're wonderful hostess!

Sorrento Bay Retreat is like no other holiday accommodation, with its
stimulating but warm design, its completeness of facilities and its
truly inspiring outlook. The view of Wellington and Port Nicholson is
second to none, with the daily movements of city and sea all going on
out there, but only to the sounds of bird song, and waves lapping on
the beach below.
A special touch is the library of books, varied enough to cater for
all interests.
Gill and Gus are really great hosts who willingly share their good
humour and love of life.
We said we’d be back, and we did, and we’ll certainly be back again.
Staying anywhere else would be second best.
