Ghiselli is a small but lovely apartment located just 1 km away from Lucca s Walls and its historic centre. It is around 60 square metres and consist of an entrance, day area with full-equipped kitchen, dining area with a glass dining table (which can be enlarge to 6/8 people), and sitting area with a sofa and television. In the night area there is a double bedroom, a single bedroom and a bathroom with shower enclosure. This was a great week away.
The accommodation is really well set up for visitors. It's a two bedroom furnished apartment with kitchen/living area(kitchen is stocked with condiments, sauces, utensils, fuel, cleaning materials etc etc) and bathroom. There was wine waiting for us on arrival (hmmm!). The apartment has a large private garden with BBQ, sun beds and a covered outside dining area. It also has a washing machine in an outside utility area.
Debora was very helpful and polite, meeting us at the apartment on arrival hand over keys, help us get settled in and of course finalise payment. She set up wireless on our laptops/ipads and then took the time to talk us through our location on the map, pointing out areas of interest. Debora also contacted us during the stay to check that everything was OK and to ask if we needed anything which was really re-assuring.
Lucca itself is about a 10 minute walk away and it's beautiful - loads of great shops, bars and restaurants. The train station is even closer so easy to travel to Pisa, Florence and anywhere else that may be of interest. We planned to hire a car but found that we didn't need to.
We took our 16 month old daughter and everything we needed (cot, high chair etc) was provided for us and set up when we got there. Worked out really well although a few lie-ins would have been nice ;o)

We were picked up from the station by Debora, which was very helpful. The apartment was in a more built-up area than we expected. We suffered quite a lot of noise from the upstairs flat, footsteps and dogs barking etc. It took about 25 min to walk to the walled city, a bit longer than we expected. It was great to have the bikes. We rode around the walls and also on the pathway along the river (highly recommended). However the brakes on the bikes needed some attention! Lucca inside the walls was very enjoyable, lots to see.
Plenty of information was provided for us about the local area, which was helpful.
