This is Ideal for two adults and two children or for a couple who want to relax in a peaceful tranquil setting. We have a Pool, swings and a slide and also a play house.
We have WI-FI at the apartment.
Lucca is the most wonderful small town; its famous walls enclose a place that can be walked or cycled with ease yet remains full of secrets. One of Italy's finest mediaeval treasures, the centre is unspoilt and is sprinkled with palazzi, towers and almost countless splendid churches. The surrounding hills produce some excellent wines and arguably the finest olive oil anywhere, whilst the beaches and nightlife are but a small hop away.... You can visit the house where Giacomo Puccini was born or visit the famous Villas of Napoleons sisters.
The house is set at 300 meters above sea level amongst olive groves and woodland. It has panoramic views of the nearby hills and farm land as well as the valley of the river Serchio. The house is located in Tramonte, a hillside area above Ponte a Moriano, its nearest town/ village community. Lucca town is a 10 km/ 6 miles drive away from the house. The distance to Pisa airport is approx. 35 km, whereas Florence city & airport are about 60km away. The apartment is part of a family residence divided into two parts, each with its own driveway and parking space. The apartment is on the ground floor and has its own large, secluded south-facing terrace immediately adjacent to the olive groves. The accommodation comprises of a good size lounge a double pullout bed and sofa together with dining areas, leading into a 'living' kitchen with original fireplace from where you can reach the main bedroom and bathroom across a small corridor. The bathroom is fitted with a shower cubicle, washbasin, bidet and toilet. The large double-bedroom is furnished with wooden interiors. The kitchen is fully fitted. Bed linen and towels are provided. Cleaning, gas and electricity are at extra cost, we only charge for what you use.
We are available to pick you up from the Airport and to familiarise you with local knowledge. You are advised to hire a car to get the full benefit of sightseeing and to visit local restaurants etc. If you need help with transport we can arrange to take you to the local train station or bus and pick you up early evening - please advise on booking if this is required as additional costs are incurred.
You will need to arrange your own flights. A great place to stay to visit historic cities including Florence, Siena, Lucca, Arezzo, Pisa, San Gimignano, Montalcino, Cortona and many more. We can offer you expert advice on the littlest details of your holiday, from the vineyards you wish to visit to bicycle rental and museum suggestions together with most importantly how to get to the beach. Assistance in planning and arranging an itinerary specific for your individual needs is available.
We now have an affiliation with a local company providing cooking lessons, why bother cooking when you can either have a lesson or just sit back and relax whilst others cook you a traditional Italian meal! They even do the washing up for you.
For car lovers we can arrange day trips to Ferrari and Lamborghini factorys. Trips to local vineyards can also be arranged.
Pool size 4 meters Diameter.
Please note the following:
The property is on a hillside location so therefore typically you will be ZIg Zagging vineyards and Olive groves as you go up the hill and for some this is disconcerting. It is tarmac and sometimes the road is narrow. The final approach is not tarmac but a hard compound of gravel and can be rough after heavy rain.Read more

The appartment was clean and comfortable and in a very beautiful location. You get the taste of real tuscan life which you dont get in a hotel. I would definatley recommend this appartment and this part of tuscany which was very close to lucca.Just wish we could have stayed longer than 2 weeks. Had a wonderful relaxing fortnight with my wife.
Lovely views down into the valley from our spacious ve
randah.Gary and Claudia were the perfect hosts...there if you needed them, but otherwise left us to our privacy.Very tranquil amongst the olive groves, lots of birdsong, without any background noise of cars.
You do need a car, and the road up to the apartment is great once you get used to the hairpin bends.
Best pizzas ever in the village restaurant.Great place as a base for touring Tuscany.

Relaxing holiday in Tuscany

We stayed three weeks in the appartment with our 20 months old duaghter. We had a wonderful time. The appartment is well equipped, also for small children, and stays nice and cool even during the heat.
The road towards the appartment is a bit windy, but you get used to it.
The appartment is well situated for day trips both to Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Sienna etc as well as the Garfagnana (marble caves, mountains) and the beach. The hosts are very friendly and very willing to help when needed and give helpful advise for trips. They respect your privacy as well! The village near by has some nice places to eat as well as supermarket. An ideal location to relax and explore Tuscany!
Really enjoyed our stay

We can really recommend this apartment. It has a wonderful terrace with an unique view. The apartment itself gives enough space for 2 people and is really lovely.
And the landlords, who stay in another part of the house, are just the best. Always there when needed and very friendly and easy-going. But on the other side really respecting the privacy of the guests. We hardly saw or heard them.
The way to the apartment might be a little bit unpleasant for people who do not like to drive up the hill on a serpentine road for 10 minutes. But on the other hand it pays of once you are there.

Recently returned from a 10 day stay in the nice, clean apartment of Tuscany apartment Olive farm. The apartment is in a quaint old farmhouse set in an olive grove in the hills. The view from the terrace is wonderful, overlooking Lucca in the valley far below. Gary and Claudia welcomed us warmly and always provided prompt service when required. Information about the surrounding area was forthcoming. We enjoyed the morning greetings from Mitch who was lovable. Being situated near Lucca was ideal since Lucca is central to many places of interest you may wish to visit such as Pisa, Cinque Terre, Sienna, Florence although Lucca has much to offer itself. Being the birthplace of Puccini there is music every night.
The location of the apartment does make having a car a necessity and to reach the apartment...a hairpin road up the mountain does take getting used to and can make the place somewhat isolating. Ideal for a young family or persons who prefer a very quiet, peaceful ambience.
Relaxing, nice to have lots of space

The directions to the apartment were really easy to follow, the road is narrow but you just have to take your time. There was plenty of room to spread out and the view is beautiful, after eating out for almost 2 months it was nice to be able to cook for ourselves.

As a young family with our first child (18 months at the time of our holiday), we wanted a self-catering break in a lovely location so that we could relax and enjoy the surroundings at our leisure and in our own time. We couldn't have dropped on any better with this apartment in Tramonte. Gary and Claudia were more than helpful right from the start, the booking was a breeze, the check-in was very easygoing. Whenever we needed help or advice someone was there yet our privacy was maintained throughout our stay. When our suitcase didn't arrive on the same flight as us Gary got onto the airport straightaway and kept checking up for us. Claudia even heped us out with spare clothes for the little one. Really lovely couple who were willing to go an extra mile to help make our stay enjoyable. That goes a long way when you're in a new place.
The accommodation was pretty much everything we were expecting, i would say even better than it appeared on the website. The location was perfect, remote enough for peace and quiet, away from the hustle bustle but only a 6/7 km from the nearest city Lucca. Great base for tripping off and discovering Northern Tuscany e.g. the Garfagnana region, Pisa, Florence, discovering Lucca was a wonderful surprise too, a beautiful small city.

God its hot in august but september is peachy, yep as the statement says been to Lucca twice, once to Villa Tramonte, should have been twice but it was booked out for our return trip with toddler in tow which was a shame as my wife and I found the apartment, excellent with superb views even at night time with all the lights in the vally below, Ponte Moriano is only down the hill while that gem they call Lucca is 10km away and a lovely place for families to explore with easy connections to both Pisa and Florence by train both both of which can be done in a daytrip at one's ease, but you'll still go back to Lucca and Villa Tramonte for the peace and tranquillity made all the more enjoyable by Garry & Claudia's helpfulness, tips and general local knowledge which made it easer to get alot more from our trip, now I know I said it was hot but you can't beat sitting outside of a warm evening with those views and a glass or three of wine and real local stonebaked takeaway pizza

We spent 10 days at the apartment "Oliveto" and we had the best holidays ever. It was the perfect place to relax and to start trips in lovely cities like Lucca, Florence and Pisa. We enjoyed every minute in this holiday flat. The view on Lucca is breathtaking and we decided to reduce our original sight seeing programme in order to enjoy life at this old olive farm spending some time with reading and sitting in the swimming pool. You'll never be tired to enjoy this fascinating view!

We spent a week in Rome and then traveled by train to the Upton's Olive Orchard Home in Tuscany. Olive Orchard Home is up a narrow winding road past a beautiful monastery where Gary arranged a private tour for us.
For most of our meals at Olive Orchard House, we dined on the deck overlooking the olive grove and one evening invited the Uptons for a BBQ We even sampled some of Upton's cold pressed olive oil made from olives grown right outside our front door.
We found a great restaurant in the town below and loved the food and wine. We spent many a relaxing evening there after various day trips around Tuscany.
Gary Upton and his family were great hosts and hostesses and we hope to return to Olive Orchard House some day.

We have stayed in this apartment three times, an indication of our love for the area around Ponte a Moriano/Lucca and the benefits of staying in this great rural getaway. Ideal for a family with children (like us), or for a couple looking for a quiet location which is stil very close to the main tourist centers of Lucca, Pisa and Florence. The apartment is clean and well kitted out with good cooking facilities, comfortable beds and a lovely verandah where you can relax and eat your meals. Ponte a Moriano (4km) has a fantastic restaurant called Pinzo's where you can savour tasty local dishes at great prices. Nearby Sauro's gellateria sells what is probably the best ice cream in Italy. Nearby Lucca (10km) is an Italian jewel, medieval architecture, narrow pedestrianised streets full of sights, sounds and wonderful food smells.
Quiet and relaxing.

A beautiful location and aspect. We had a little trouble finding it in the dark despite the detailed directions but Gary came out to guide us in.
A quiet and relaxing location but within easy reach of all the local places of interest. Return to the apartment includes passing the local supermarket so self-catering was easy. Even the stormy end to a long dry spell provided some spectacular viewing from the terrace and did not spoil our enjoyment.
Outstanding setting with breathtaking views!

We very much enjoyed our stay in this very rustic italian olive orchard. The views were amazing and the setting was a peaceful retreat if thats the kind of break you are looking for and we were.
The owners provided great service and made our stay an enjoyable one.
Our oldest son keeps asking to return so fond are his memories of our week there.
If it wasn't for the arrival of a new baby we surely would have by now.Highly recommended
