A family home tastefully decorated and in keeping with the Tuscan style. It adjoins a historical house which dates back more than 100 years. It is totally private and secluded. Private sunbathing area together with views of the forest and surrounding nature. Lots of space to eat outside and comfortable seating areas are all included
The position of the house is in a glade at the end of a 1 km road that winds through the woods, surrounded by olive trees. We had a really good time. The house is big, very well equipped (no washing machine, though). Everything was very clean, the bathrooms were big, and the beds were excellent. We got a change of sheets after one week, which we really appreciated. The owner's mother lives just nearby and she occasionally has guests in her garden (which is divided by a bush wall from "our" patio), but it didn't disturb us. The garden is really big, and the olive trees are wonderful. There is a 30-40 mins drive to the nearest beach (Lido di camaiore was our favourite). Shops are at 10 mins drive, and there are a variety of baker's butcher's shops in the village. We were really happy there and plan to go back one day.

Fabulous location , quiet and relaxing.
Close enough to the wonderful Lucca, and other cities Florence and the beach .
Highlights were Puccini opera by the lake,
and Puccini arias in Lucca .

The place is perfectly equipped, comfortable and very clean. We received the keys without problems on arrival, although we arrived 2 hours earlier than expected. Although the lady who handed us the keys, didn't speak english, but she was very helpful, and the owner left us a kind letter detailing everything we should know. Also, she installed a folder in the house with important information about the region and things worth doing or seeing. The location is also quite ok with a car (10-15 minutes to Lucca and 25 to the nearest beach), but you shouldn't attempt the last 200 meters to the house with a low-built car, because the road in the woods is quite bumpy to the parking place, which in turn is in front of the house.

Undoubtedly one of the best self-catering holidays we have had. The standard of the accommodation and facilities were way above expectation and it was a wrench to leave such a beautiful and tranquil setting. Our host , Monica, was so charming and welcoming to the extent that we were privileged to spend and evening in her company in Pisa: we must return !

This villa was superb. We were greeted as soon as my wife and I got there and we were told everything that we could do in our 7 day holiday in Lucca and in Tuscany. The place was large, clean, and comfortable together with being convenient for all the local amenities. We felt like we were living like true Italians for the week. I would highly recommend this affordable, beautiful vacation rental. Everything we read about the property was exactly as stated, so rent this place with confidence.
