Life doesn't get much better than a holiday at this sumptuous, five-star luxury villa rental in Tuscany. You and your companions—whether you come for a wedding, a family vacation, or anything else—will find everything you could dream of in an elegant Tuscan mansion, from billiard and card rooms to a workout room and a library. In addition to being pampered by the full-time staff, you'll find that this luxury villa in Tuscany is within very close proximity to a number of key Tuscany destinations, including Lucca, Pisa, and Florence.
Built in the 1800's as a wild boar-hunting lodge, this Tuscan luxury villa was soon surrounded... by a small hamlet for the workers of the estate. Today, outdoor facilities include a floor-lit swimming pool, mountain bikes, a barbecue area, a very large ornamental peschiera with fountain, and outdoor tables and chairs for al fresco dining.
Fully air conditioned throughout, the property has twelve individually styled double bedrooms all with modern en-suite bathrooms. Such gracious living overflows into the many reception rooms, the magnificent banqueting hall, the formal drawing room with views across the peschiera, the card and billiard room and the domed music room.
Ground floor: Main entryway with staircase; four ground floor bathrooms; fully equipped kitchen; formal dining room; drawing room; office with telephone, fax, internet access and computer facilities; music room and library; card and billiard room; wine cellar; TV lounge with satellite TV and video; lounge; workout room with music system; laundry room; staff accommodations.
First floor: 12 large double bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms and shower rooms, and individually controlled room temperature facilities [heating and air conditioning]. In each bathroom you will find a hair dryer, shampoo, and soap.
Within a little hamlet, this gracious Tuscan retreat is tucked away in a beautiful area with lovely villas and a charming village – just south of the town of Lucca. The villa is within reach of many of the famous Tuscan hill towns, most within an hour's drive away.
Cinque Terre: 1.5 hours
Florence: 1 hour
Pisa: 30 minutes
Golf courses [Montecatini or Versilia]: 30 minutes
Lucca: 10 minutes
Tennis and driving range: 5 minutes
Available Amenities: Staff services: a house manager and two service staff who, along with general housekeeping duties, provide a continental/buffet breakfast each morning and service for either lunch or dinner. A chef is available for either lunch or dinner each day [6 days per week]. Staff alternate to have one day off per week. [Please note that when the chef has a day off, no meals are provided apart from breakfast]. Heating and air-conditioning of house, electricity, water, gas, and use of all outdoor equipment is included. A gardener looks after the grounds and the swimming pool. An iron and ironing board are available upon request. Doing personal laundry is not part of the included staff duties.
