Immersed in greenery yet only a short drive from the Medieval town of Pietrasanta ,stylish Forte dei Marmi, the sea ,Pisa airport and Lucca.Designed by a famous Architecht for his own occupation, this fascinating property dominates the surrounding tranquil landscape.
Perched on the crest of a private hillside, it is secluded, but not isolated, in a superb location with other properties of a similar standard. Entrance to the private hillside estate is restricted to residents only through tall, remote controlled iron gates.

Additional Location Information
Here at Bridgewater, we specialise in holidays in Italy and Tuscany villas, in particular self ? catering accommodation in 'Pietrasanta' & the surrounding area - Tuscany's golden coast only 30 minutes from Pisa airport.
MARINA DI PIETRASANTA: On Tuscany's golden coastline & nestling neatly below the marble - topped Apuan mountains, Marina di Pietrasanta is an elegant beach resort in the heart of the area known as 'Versilia' and has been our special part of Italy since 1973. It offers something for everyone, immaculate golden beaches, beachside pools, mountains, art, sport, (tennis, horse riding, watersports) fantastic cuisine and the charm of small town Italian life.
The old town of Pietrasanta is connected to the beach and Marina di Pietrasanta by a shaded cycle path. Many of Bridgewater's rentals include 2 x bicycles and we can arrange the hire of extra bikes.
HISTORIC PIETRASANTA: Just 3 Km from the coast, mountains and sea blend together beautifully in Pietrasanta, a small medieval town known as 'city of art & artists'. Pietrasanata is one of Tuscany's best kept secrets. Once loved by Michelangelo, today the town is a Mecca for international artists such as Bottero & Mitorai. The ambient old town square is filled with sculpture exhibits and houses a cathedral that looks like it belongs to a large city. The cobbled streets which radiate from the main piazza are lined with sought after restaurants, authentic trattorias, elegant pavement cafes and bijoux boutiques. Traffic is restricted in the narrow streets, allowing the artists to set up their easels in the street and show off their latest masterpieces. Pietrasanta is a year round destination. No car necessary. Pietrasanta has a train station with regular connections to Florence, Pisa, and Lucca etc.
PIETRASANTA COUNTRYSIDE & SURROUNDS: The landscape surrounding Pietrasanta is smothered in olive groves and vineyards. Narrow roads wind through terraced hillsides up to the tiny villages of Valdicastello, Capezzano, Capriglia and Farnocchia, communities un-touched by tourism. Collectively these villages are known as 'Versilia alta' and the area offers visitors unforgettable walks.
Inland lies some of the most spectacular Tuscan countryside. Just a 2 0 minute drive takes you deep in to the Tuscan hillside surrounded by ancient cypress trees and silver leafed olive groves. Local homemade pasta, Chianti, fresh trout from the streams, homemade bread and sheep's cheese will satisfy the most discerning of pallets.
Sightseeing, of course is outstanding. The breath-taking architecture and art collections of Florence are just one hours drive away. Even closer are the historic cities of Lucca (25 mins by car) and Pisa with its leaning tower (30 mins drive) . Colle Lucchese and the marble mountains of C arrara.
CAPEZZANO MONTE: is a tiny village perched on the foothills of the Apuan mountains ? only 10 minutes from historic Pietrasanta. The village has just a few basic shops selling local produce and is recommended to walkers, honeymooners and people looking to escape the frantic pace of modern life.
CAMAIORE: is an authentic Tuscan town with Roman origins. Ideally situated only 8 Km from Pietrasanta and a 10 minute drive from Forte dei Marmi ? this charming town offers an array of local trattorie, delis, boutiques, pavement cafes and is only a ten minute drive from the beach
FORTE DEI MARMI: is like 'Bond Street by the sea' . Many Italian and international personalities can be seen sat in Forte's bar Principe during the summer months. The town is home to designer boutiques such as Prada, Gucci, Salvatore Ferragamo, Versace, stylish bistro restaurants and 5* hotels. Bridgewater's Idyllic Italy offers a selection of reasonably priced villa rentals in Forte dei Marmi which are available on a weekly basis. However, properties in the town are highly sought after internationally and many owners insist on a minimum stay of one month during July and August. The rental prices in Forte dei Marmi are higher than the surrounding areas. Central villas with pools within easy reach of the beach are limited and should be booked well in advance. Wednesday weekly market not to be missed!
TUSCANY COAST / VERSILIA BEACHES: One of the most pleasurable aspects of a holiday in the Versilia area is the discovery of how relaxing local beach life can be. At first, the sight of the regimented rows of brightly coloured parasols may not appeal to those people who are used to less organised beaches, but in reality in this crowded busy world of ours, it works well. Here there is no need to get down to the beach at the crack of dawn to stake out a space on the beach! Italian families make the beach the focal point of their holiday. For this reason many of the villas in the area don't have swimming pools. Those villas with pools close to the beach that do exist are in high demand and so charge a premium during peak months and should be booked early. Alternatively, villas with pools tend to be situated a ten minute drive from the beach. We understand that your holiday time is precious to you so we offer an advance beach booking service.
