Welcome in the relaxing area of Borgo del Colle di Alfeo, big fenced garden and a fantastic pool area with a large swimmingpool (6x12 mt).

A Paradise for families, a real romantic experience of Tuscan country life with sun, olive trees , vineyards, and own vegetables garden from where you can pick up your tomatoes!!

Is is composed of an old farmhouse completely restored and La Martina, a detached brand new lovely house with its... own garden.

The houses have lovely features with all modern facilities. In the large garden with Pizza oven, BBQ, pergola and ping-pong table you find a private equipped area where to have breakfast, dinner or simply a nap in the shadow, while kids have fun in the gorgeous surrounding or in the lower green level with swings, well, ping-pong table and lots of other games.

The large infitiny Pool, totally fenced for children's safety, has also an own bathroom, inn and out-door shower, large dining and sunbathing terraces and sits in an elevated position above the houses..Breathtaking views of the valley and mountains. You will enjoy this special freedom of a full immersion in natural beauty.

La Grande di Alfeo “Main house” (5 + 2 sleeps) - Euro 1250 weekly

The door opens onto a large living area with sofabed (double-bed), an open fireplace, TV and a comfortably well equipped kitchen with marble bench top, owen and dishwasher.

Two airy double bedrooms, one of which have also a single bed. The bedrooms are furnished with wardrobe, dresser and bedside tables and a bathroom with shower at the same level .

Are you a bigger group then you can rent also the upper:

La Mansarda di Alberta "Attic” (6 sleeps) - Euro 890 weekly

There you find two large bedrooms each with one double bed + a single one, a large bathroom with shower and a sittingroom with kitchen-corner. The huge attic has wonderful views of the pool area and the valley.

La Simona "small apartment" (3 sleeps) - Euro 490 weekly

This apartment consists of entrance that leads into a large kitchen well equipped with refrigerator, oven, open fireplace and a good sitting area around the old Tuscan table.

The apartment has a large double bedroom with one extra bed and a bathroom w/shower.

La Enoteca (sleeps 2+2) Euro 590 weekly, at the groundfloor of the old farmhouse with one bedroom and a sofabed in the livingroom, this is a special unit that we also use for parties and special events or for wine-tasting and cooking lessons due to the big dining-room and kitchen but in case of big groups we are able to reserve it.

All the above mentioned units of the old farmhouse have own entrance from outside but can also be common with internal stairs.

La Martina, (sleeps 2+3). - Euro 890 weekly

completely restored little house on two floors near but detached from the farmhouse and with a fenced equipped own garden with table, arm-chairs, BBQ facilities. This is the perfect and quiet place where you can decide to have your breakfast in the morning and dinner in the evening or simply relax, take sun or read a book during the day. On the ground floor there is an open space divided into a well equipped kitchen with marble bench top,dishwasher, oven ,4 ring stoves, microwave, toaster, espresso maker, freezer, refrigerator and a living room with open fireplace, TV, sofa that becomes a couch/bed for two.

At the first floor you have a large comfortable bed-room with double bed and one single bed and the bathroom.

The property fits also a laundry-room with washingmachine, iron and irontable.

All the area is covered by ADSL service Wi-Fi, free of charge for all the guests.

Kindly notice that all the windows of our houses have screens that can be rolled up and down, there are few mosquitoes in our area, but the screens are specially for butterflies and flies, this is very comfortable at night with lights inside the house!

The famous town of Lucca is only a few kilometers away, and the lovely villages of Garfagnana are also nearby.

Not far from us there are the famous old Villas that surrounds Lucca town and other places to see: the “Grotta del Vento” in Garfagnana, the Park of Pinocchio in Collodi, the Viareggio seaside. Moreover, it’s easy to reach our important cities such as Florence, Pisa, Siena, Montalcino, San Gimignano and many other beautiful localities.

Car is necessary but you can also take a comfortable walk to restaurants shops and bars as the distance is of about 1,5 km.

The beautiful walled city of Lucca is only 14 kms. away, 20 minutes by car. Lucca is one of Italy’s famous 'art cities', the labyrinth medieval streets hosting many museums and galleries. Lucca was the home of Puccini, and an opera is performed every single day of the year. There are a number of other festivals, notably the Lucca Summer Festival, which has several concerts throughout July and August, and has hosted Pink Floyd, David Bowie, Sting and Lauryn Hill among many others. The famous outdoor Puccini festival is also held throughout July and August at nearby Torre del Lago. Lucca is around one hour from Florence and 20 minutes from Pisa by train or car. Other notable local places are the spa town of Bagni di Lucca, with its villas and palazzos, and the village of Ponte di Moriano. Moreover, it’s easy to reach some important cities of art as Florence, Pisa, Siena, Montalcino, San Gimignano and many other beautiful localities.

Kindly notice that Christmas and Easter week are considered high season.
The above mentioned price is consided for max. 7 persons renting the main house La Grande di Alfeo.
It is possible to rent separately La Simona (Euro 490 weekly) and La Martina (Euro 890 weekly) or the Alberta Attic (Euro 890 weekly) or La Enoteca (Euro 590 weekly)to reserve all the property for special events or bigger groups.
We will be glad to furnish you all the details and await your questions that will be answered soonest!!.

Weekly rate includes property rent, private parking. pool, taxes in accordance to Italian law, hot/cold water, electricity, gas, speed nternet Wi-Fi, final cleaning.
Extra costs are for heating for winter season and linen and bath-and pool-towels..
Payment Details: 20% deposit upon booking. Balance upon arrival.
A security deposit is required at your arrival and is completely reimbursed at your departure in case no damages occurred.

  We are a family of three teenage girls. We spent one week at this wonderful place. We rented "La Grande di alfeo", a practical and beautiful 2 bedroom apartment. The apartment had all the necessary facilities and tastefully furnished in Tuscan style. The house was in beautiful natural surroundings, a very well-maintained property built. The surroundings of olive groves, flowers, fruit gardens and old houses called for the peace and enjoyment. The pool area was very well kept and clean, equipped with sun loungers. Although the place was secluded from hectic urban life, it was close to the most part, the local baker, butcher a couple of minutes away. Supermarket 5-10 minutes by car and about 10 minutes by car to the nearest city, Lucca. Under the pergola we spent the amount of time, from early morning, evening and nice moments. The hosts showed incredible hospitality. Awesome people who do not know what good they could do for guests. Alberta, Alfeo, Simone and Martina, we would like to come back :-)

  A place to remember!!!

  My husband and I stayed at this fantastic place for 2 weeks this summer with our two kids (2 and 4 years old). We rented the "La Grande di alfeo" appartment with 2 big bedrooms, bathroom and livlig room/kitchen with dining table and sofa. The appartment was perfectly clean, had dishwasher and contained all we needed to prepare our own food. At last, since we travelled with our kids, we also apprechiated the opportunity to use the washing machine!
  The pool area was very delicate, with clean water and sunbeds along the side. The kids loved playing there! We also used the nice pergola every day, both long breakfasts and late dinners were eaten there. And it is also important to mention that the pool area was fenced, so we could relax knowing that the kids could not reach the pool by them selves.
  There are many good restaurants in the area, the nearest just a few minutes drive away. There are also grocery stores just minutes away, however, rentalcar is needed at this place.
  The owners, Alfeo and alberta are some of the most friendliest people we have ever met! Always smiling, asking if there where anything we needed. Leaving fresh vegetables at our doorstep and serving us coffee, water, mineral water and beer. The kids loved beeing around them, and would not actually leave when we had to! Because of alfeo and alberta's extraordinary hospitality, they made our vacation really special, and we actually missed them when we returned back to Norway!!
  We can recommend this place to both families and couples. It is perfect if you will experience the real Tuscan countryside, with its silence and nice view over the mountains, with olive trees and vineyards at the hill sides. We will return for sure, and are looking forward to meet alfeo and alberta again!

  A great place to see the all of Tuscany sightseengs !

  My name is Svetlana, I live and work in Moscow. In July and august of 2011 we rented a chalet (hamlet) for 6 weeks. We have a large family with three children 11, 10 and 4 years old, the nurse. We loved it! First, a convenient place - to get to the sea, to the mountains, to the nearest old small towns is very convenient. To go to Florence - less than an hour! Rent a small car, and feel comfortable. We tried to visit sea cost almost every day, had dinner there - on the coast and in the evening back at the chalet - enjoy dinner under the stars, surrounded by mountains, listening to the silence, prepared on the open air. The fact that 11 days at sea we had a decent storm - the rescuers did not allowed us to go to sea. So these days, especially because it was hot, children enjoyed swimming in the pool. The house is located in the ancient place, the narrow streets, churches, old houses - all impressive! Lucca - also is the great - the feeling that you're on the set of scenery - so well-preserved old town that is not trusted, it seems that you're back to 100-200 years ago. In general, everything was very convenient - the children had their own rooms and wi-fi- the adults - had shopping in Florence and tourist places around. Good weather, wonderful Tuscan cuisine, the sea and the magnificent mountain air. Very highly recommended!

  lovely experience

  Me, my girlfriend, her brother and his partner stayed at the Borgo del Colle for 1 week in September 2011. La Grande house is a lovely old (but restored and well-maintained) farmhouse in a small borgo. The accommodation was perfect with clean, well equipped kitchen and 2 large comfortable bedrooms with stunning views. Our hosts alberta and her daughter Simona was extremely helpful and welcoming, we received their fruit and a bottle of Prosecco which was very appreciated after a whole day driving under the sun.
  
  But the real plus was the beautiful garden area with the favolous large swimming-pool, we all where inside after 15 minutes... We had planned to visit lots of Tuscany but it ended that we went only once at the sea-side (we had the pool) a short visit to Pisa and 1 day-tour with the train to Florence.
  
  We spent the remaining days in the beautiful area, taking sun and lots of baths. In September Lucca has lots of markets and fests so we moved from the house during the evenings to visit Lucca (10 min drive) for dinner (lots of good places to eat) and we could also enjoy the famous "luminara” with the fireworks a late evening.
