I wanted to explore Wales and found Ludlow the perfect base for day driving trips into Wales. The Baker's Retreat was the perfect location in Ludlow, right in the town centre so I didn't have to go far for nights outs. The house had everything I needed, large kitchen with everything you would ever want. There is no parking on the street, but you can park in the Coop car park overnight for free or during the day for a very minimal charge.
A Fabulous Experience

We stayed for 6 days at the Bakers Retreat. Had a fantastic time. After unloading right outside the front door, we moved car to the nearby car park (very reasonable rate).Check in/out was easy. The accommodation had everything we needed. It was well stocked, clean and nicely furnished & decorated throughout. A real home from home! Bedrooms were very comfortable, lounge great and a large kitchen which we enjoyed chatting & having brekkie in each morning. Location was excellent, only yards from Ludlow's finest pubs and restaurants. This is great base to explore Ludlow and wider Shropshire. Loved it!!
Amazing little gem in the midst of a quaint characterful village

This accomodation is excellent value for money. The place is brimming with character and well appointed. the location is central to eateries and local shops. the welcome pack of fresh milk bread, tea and coffee was great to have. Parking is easy although getting to the parking area we found a little tricky without going down the loading only road perhaps the owner could give some clearer directions on how to find the parking area as the layout of the town is quite confusing. The only small niggle we had was despite being told on booking and also in writing in the welcome pack that there would be a 10% discount on all meals in the restaurant below the flat, when we ate there our first night we were told this was only for breakfast. It did put us off from eating there again as the prices are quie high and the discount is a good incentive, which was a shame because the food was excellent.

Four of us stayed here for a weekend. It was in the heart of Ludlow, close to everythin, including good shops and restaurants. We walked every morning, down by the river or along the streets, before breakfast. The apartment was laid out like a cottage. Very well equipped and homely. The fresh flower and milk on our arrival added to this wonderful stay. The Free parking was a nice gesture. My only complaint was it could be noisy at night if you are in the front bedroom. I would stay again, thank you for a very nice weekend.
