      Anniversary Weekend

Left on 12/15/2012 for a stay in September 2012

Great stay, every detail was taken care of. Beautiful space, great view, lots of privacy. Loved the fire pit stocked with wood. Lummi is a great place for a nice short get away. Hope to be back.

      Perfect place for a proposal!

Left on 12/10/2012 for a stay in September 2012

My fiance and I stayed here in September and it was absolutely wonderful. The accommodations were far and above what is listed here. It's a great place for a romantic getaway, or if you just need a calm vacation. It's easily accessible, the price is more than fair, and the overall experience is unforgettable. It will definitely be a regular vacation destination for us!

      Wonderful B&B; on Lummi Island

Left on 11/10/2012 for a stay in November 2012

My daughter and I had the great good fortune of spending two nights at Hales Passage B&B.; It was perfect in every respect. We especially enjoyed the campfire (thanks again Elizabeth!), the well-stocked kitchen, the comfortable beds, and the beautiful quiet setting.

A great place to stay with lots of special touches.

Left on 10/15/2012 for a stay in October 2012

My boyfriend and I spent a rainy weekend here. The hosts were very nice and friendly but one of the best things about this vacation rental is the privacy. This is not a typical B & B because everything is in the suite. There is a kitchen in the rental fully stocked with all the treats that you would want on a blustery day including fresh fruit and eggs, homemade baked goods, pastries, milk, juice, and more. There are so many special touches that made this "cozy home away from home" feel like a five star hotel including fresh cut flowers, chocolates, luxurious bedding, and chilled lemon water.

This place is totally worth the short ferry ride from Bellingham. Also, the ferry charge is only from the Mainland to the island. There is no charge from Lummi Island back to the mainland.

      Beautiful and so welcoming!

Left on 09/13/2012 for a stay in August 2012

My girlfriend and I made one of the last ferries over to Lummi Island. The hosts had the fire and lamps going for us outside in the beautiful backyard with view of the ocean. They were extremely helpful checking us in at such a late hour.
The suite is lovely with everything you need or could possibly want.
Breakfast is included and the fridge was stocked with tasty food, along with fresh fruit.
I would highly recommend this place as a vacation getaway. I will be going back :)
Thanks so much for the hosts in making our vacation that much more special!

      What a wonderful location

Left on 08/18/2012 for a stay in August 2012

My wife and I wanted a getaway for our 30th anniversary. We wanted to get away from the busyness of our daily lives, and unplug for a few days. The Hale's Passage B&B; fully delivered relaxation and peace. The B&B; is a converted, private apartment in a daylight basement. We had a private backyard, with stairs to the beach, and clear views of Hale's Passage. Our stay started with a lit fire pit in the backyard our first evening, and could have been prepared for us every evening, but we were preferring the darkness so we could enjoy the meteor showers. We enjoyed watching a doe and her fawn grazing in this backyard one day. A couple cottontails snacked on the lawn early each evening. There were heron, and other birds. The seagulls stayed out over the water where they are intended to stay. Our hosts were very warm and hospitable. After greeting us, they were available, but gave us full privacy. There is a very clean and nice kitchen. Our host stocked the fridge with fresh berries, muffins, eggs, etc. The entire apartment was clean and well suited for a single, couple or small family.

The island itself was friendly, and seemed aware of our need for quiet time alone. The roads are 25 mph, but as we drove around, we stayed 20-25 with the windows down to enjoy the fresh air, and catch the occaisional deer. Other drivers drove slowly, too. Because of this, walking the road is safe, and there are many walkers and bikers on the island. We were on the island during the week, so traffic on the weekend might be heavier.

Dining in our room was a pleasure, and the Beach Cafe was great as well. Apparently the other restaurant on the island, Willows Inn, is a popular destination. If you want to eat there you will need a reservation, and one made two weeks prior. Call.

Overall, this was an excellent choice for our 30th anniversary. I highly recommend this B&B; for anyone with the need to unplug for a few days, and enjoy a supremely peaceful setting.

      Relaxing

Left on 06/16/2012 for a stay in May 2012

My Wife, grandson and I stayed for 4 wonderful days. Our stay was peaceful, relaxing and fun! Lounged around the suite watching the awesome view of the ocean, the birds & nature from our window, went out for a walk & hung out by the fire-pit made smores with my grandson. We practiced our golf swing, went on a nice horse & buggy ride around the island played some touch football in the nice, roomy back yard.
Everything was clean, quiet. The BB hosts were accommodating. Great service. Lots of privacy! It is a very exotic experience & we would definitely do it again!

Practicing my swing. Relaxing by the firepit with some smores. Going on horse & buggy ride!
