Color it Country! This well-equipped, cozy chalet has been a favorite inland lake spot for many years. It is located on Caribou Lake which is considered by many to be one of Minnesota's best walleye lakes. It is also a popular cross-country ski area, hiking, snowmobiling, and hunting spot located just minutes away from Lutsen's downhill ski slopes. 1BR and bath on the main level, 2 open sleeping areas up, and a 2nd bath and fireplace on the lower walkout level. The home was cute, cozy and warm and the kitchen and baths were more than adequate... The property even had a really nice stock of games and movies... The trouble was with the beds. They were just awful. The master bedroom's bed had some sort of plastic covering under the sheets that made noise when you moved and the mattress itself was so bad that it felt like springs were poking us. I ended up sleeping on the couch the last night. Also, there's a huge lightpole outside the bedroom that shines all night. The room could really use some blackout curtains. If the beds were better, I'd wholeheartedly recommend this property.

Left on 02/22/2011 for a stay in October 2010
Cabin was okay, not great. Seems to me to be expensive even by North Shore standards, especially with the added booking costs. Will not stay here again unlesss the price is dropped!
