We had a lovely stay in Lavender Cottage with our two young girls. The Cottage is in a perfect location and only a minute (if that) from the beach.

HampshireAutumn weekend at Coombe St
Left on 12/01/2011 for a stay in November 2011
A very nice cottage with room for four well located in Lyme Regis for town centre, beaches and harbour.
The accommodation has plenty of space for a family and everything you need for a stay (kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine, plates etc) and was very homely indeed.
Loading/unload your car at the door, then leave it in the car park (public) up the road and forget about it as you are close to everything you need for a stay in Lyme. This was great for us as a family with two small children.
I would say that if you have toddlers, the stairs could use a stair gate as they are steep (2 flights), something to discuss when booking perhaps.

HENLEY-ON-THAMESLovely cottage in great location
Left on 11/23/2011 for a stay in October 2011
The cottage was very clean and comfortable and bigger than we were expecting.
It had everything we needed for our short break.
The location was perfect with a very short walk to the beach, shops and a wide range of pubs and restaurants.
Parking was never a problem in the nearby car park.
Would defiantly recommend. -

Hampton middlesexFantastic central position well equiped comfortable house
Left on 11/04/2011 for a stay in October 2011
The house is in a great position only minutes away from the centre of town and the beach. Six of us stayed very comfortably. The house has a very modern feel about it and is well layed out. We had a few issues with the heating but Mark, the owner, came around straight away to sort it out. Looked to have a nice garden as well but we did not venture out as we stayed in October. Lots to do in the area as well and some nice places to eat. Only downside were that there is no parking next to the house but you can load and unload the car and it's not too far to the nearest car park. I guess there has to be a trade off to being so central.

Leicestershire; UKPerfect! Cosy, tasteful decor, superb location
Left on 10/21/2011 for a stay in October 2011
My wife, my 22 year old daughter and me stayed for a week and it was exactly what we wanted and more. The location is excellent with all Lyme Regis has to offer within walking distance. The house is very comfortable with great character. Unloading the car outside the front door is a little awkward as Coombe Street is very narrow but it was no problem as the car park is just a 2-minute walk up the hill! Kitchen was well-equipped; we had no complaints at all with this property and would definitely recommend it. Contact by email and in person during our stay with the owner, Mark, was as you would want - swift, polite and efficient. Would definitely stay there again if/when we return to charming Lyme Regis. Would also recommend the 3 very-nearby places where we ate out: Rumours (fish specialities but also did good meat dishes) Lyme Bay Kitchen (Italian menu) and La Quilla (Indian) We had a superb week and feel very fortunate to have discovered this gem of a place to stay.

Manchester, United KingdomFantastic Cottage in a great location
Left on 08/25/2011 for a stay in August 2011
We have been holidaying in the Lyme Regis area for many years and this property is in such a great location it has to be our favourite. It is great for "popping out for a wander." There are lots of cafes and galleries only a couple of minutes walk away, plus the beach of course. The property is more spacious than I was expecting. I'm 6 foot 3 and thankfully there are only a few doorways where I needed to duck. The living room is quite large and comfortable. The bedrooms are spacious and two bathrooms is a bonus.

The house has excellent space for four with excellent facilities (bath, shower, dish washer, washing machine). It is 2 minutes walk away from good local facilities including a bakery which is a 'must visit' for breakfast. Dinosaurland sounds like a kids place but is fascinating for adults too.

HertfordshireExcellent location, lovely cottage!
Left on 07/14/2011 for a stay in July 2011
Such a lovely cottage. Just 2 minutes from the local bakery, 5 minutes from town and beach, and near a good fish and chip shop! (ideal after our long car journey).
The cottage is spacious, well kept, clean, and well furnished. The beds were comfortable and we all had an excellent time. The garden is large enough for a good BBQ and is pearched high up (so warning if you have super small ones, you'll have to keep an eye them. Ours has been walking for a couple of months and it was fine-she loved runnin around).
I would recommend it and come back!

Our week's stay at the cottage was most enjoyable. It was clean, comfortable, well equipped and the location was very good - just 5 minutes walk from the sea front. There are some good eating places in Lyme Regis - we particularly liked the Thai restaurant on the promenade, and, further afield, try River Cottage Canteen in axminster - excellent.
What we liked best was the location.
What we liked least was the car parking - most of the long stay parks are up steep hills and you need lots (lots!)of coins for the pay machines. -

Left on 04/27/2010 for a stay in April 2010
Lyme Regis is a great place for a truly traditional family seaside holiday and the cottage was a fantastic base for us all. We didn't use the car all week which was a break in itself. The cottage was very nicely furnished and extremely comfortable, everything we needed for the week and with a super welcome basket to greet us we were very happy. We were met on arrival by the owners who made us feel extremely welcome too. Of course we did have the sunshine this year so we made good use of the lovely clean beaches, minigolf, tabletennis, the cobb and enjoyed all the lovely cafes and restaurants. The Indian restaurant in the town is one of our favourites! We have been going to Lyme Regis for our family holidays for several years now and each time it just gets better and better. We will definitely be using this cottage again.

Long weekend booked at the last minute. Mark was very helpful and the property was very clean and comfortable. The cottage is only a short walking distance from wonderful coastline, situated in a quiet lane. Very peaceful. This was our first visit to the area and we would certainly recommend this cottage as a great place to stay.

North London, UKPerfect retreat..in great location
Left on 04/10/2010 for a stay in October 2009
We found the cottage to be just what we needed to escape city life. The location was exceptional...being close to the centre of town but far enough out to be quiet...with parking just up the road.
The property was cosy, clean, well equipt and great value.
Mark greeted us upon arrival and was extremly helpful in making the reservation and making our stay comfortable.
Would certainly recommend to others like us...family with 2 children. We also rented the adjacent cottage for our friends which was perfect...saw plenty of them but also had our own space.
Simply brilliant bakery/cafe minutes down the road, with rustic charm, wholesome food and friendly staff.
Beaches and fossil hunting all fantastic
Would certainly return again.
