Kings Huts is a unique Grade II listed cottage set on a quiet country lane, near Lymington.

One of six cottages built for Mrs. Powell King a local land owner, reputedly by her good friend and renowned architect Sir Edwin Lutyens in 1908.

Built in a horseshoe layout, accessible through an old oak arch and gate, along an original old red brick path that leads to the picket gate of number 2.

Kings Huts is perfectly situated near to the heart of the forest, yet only minutes away from the lovely town of Lymington - with its picturesque sea front, cobbled street and beautiful Georgian architecture.

    The cottage is located on a country lane, called Middle Common Road. The viallages of Sway, Everton and Upper Pennington are all very close.

    It is a 30 minute walk into the heart of Lymington, with its famous Saturday market and harbour.

      Excellent cottage

      Lovely friendly cottage, done to a very high standard, nice and quite location. In good location to the New Forest. Everything is provided in the cottage and we had a lovely relaxing time. Try the Hobler pub nearby for an excellent meal.

      A little hideaway that feels like home.

      As a couple who like or home comforts and enjoy cooking for ourselves, our stay at 2 Kings Huts was exactly what we wanted from a weekend break. Everything necessary to make us feel comfortable was there. Lots of lovely local walks, especially the Saturday morning walk into Lymington to experience the Saturday market; much better than your run of the mill market, there were lost of quirky, quality stalls with unusual and useful merchandise.

      The cottage itself is lovely; high quality furniture and decor, with plenty to encourage you to just wind down with a good book, some music and TV/films, should you wish to do so. The owners provided lots of information on local events, places of interest and outings; our weekend was nowhere near enough time.

      We rent self-catering properties all the time, and would dearly like more of them to be of the quality and standard of 2 King's Huts. we will go back, without any hesitation, as we had such a lovely time.
