The central location of Maalaea makes it the perfect spot to spend a vacation on Maui. Both the living room and bedroom face the water with 25 feet of windows spanning both rooms. The views from all rooms including the kitchen are wonderful. Maalaea Village is located on the leeward coast (southern side) of Maui, centrally located to everything on the island. It is 15 minutes from the airport, 25 minutes from Lahaina and 30 minutes from Wailaea. Maalaea Harbor is the embarking point for many marine excursions including, sports fishing, scuba and snorkeling, dinner cruises and whale watching. Maalaea Village is also host to a state of the art aquarium, the Maui Ocean Center. This small village also has several fine dining restaurants such as Buzz's Wharf and The Waterfront Restaurant as well as several casual, less expensive restaurants within easy walking distance of your condo. There is a also a convenient shuttle that goes to many popular tourist destinations from the mall in Maalaea Village. You can also watch surfers ride the world's fastest right break, the 'Freight Train' from your lanai. There are 7 golf courses within 15 min. of the condo. Seven mile Sugar Beach starts in Maalaea and is adjacent to a National Wildlife Sanctuary featuring rare birds and sea turtles. The historic and off-the-beaten-path township of Wailuku is 15 min. away. Many of our guests mention the convenient location of 107 Milowai to many of Maui's popular destinations, including Haleakala volcano, the road to Hana, and the resorts of Wailea and Kapalua.

We loved our week in Maalaea. The condo is an elevated ground floor unit where you can walk out right onto the waterfront. The unit is in excellent condition and the owners are exceptionally nice people to deal with.
This is a great place to stay, it was clean, quiet and away from the large resorts. The view is spectacular! At night you can sit on the lanai and enjoy listening to the relaxing waves while having dinner. Most nights we grilled using the gas grill right outside the condo... talk about convenient!!
It's a short drive to Kiehi, Lahiana and Kaanapali where there's tons of great shopping, art galleries and restaurants. On nights in which we were too tired to cook or drive, the restaurants in the harbor are within walking distance and the food options there are great.
This place is amazing and the sunrises are beautiful. If you don't want the big-resort feel but still want to be near everything, this place is perfect.

Loved falling asleep and waking to the shush-shush-shush of the waves, loved the view across the sea and beyond to Mt. Haleakala, loved the comfy, nicely decorated condo including a beautiful newly remodeled bathroom, and the peacefulness of the setting. Great deserted beach a 5 min. walk away, and so centrally located for easy access to all the best Maui spots! A 5-min. walk to a great cafe at the harbor with incredible homemade pastries and coffee. The condo had everything you need to eat in if you wanted to, and we esp. appreciated that the owner provided big thick beach towels and a mini-cooler and blue-ice packs for picnicks while out and about. Lovely spot, lovely condo, lovely views! A great place to stay...

Our month long visit to Hawaii included a week stay in your beautiful Maalaea condo and it was one of the most enjoyable part of our visit. We sat on the lanai in the evenings and enjoyed watching the sea turtles. We also enjoyed our boat ride to Molikini where the snorkeling was amazing!

I often hear guests say that the most enjoyable part of their visit is when they stayed at our condo in Maalaea. I think it's because the condo is very comfortable and very close to the ocean. So, our guests don't feel like they have to do anything to have a great time. Often, our guests relax on the lanai and watch the turtles or the whales.. But when our guests do want to see something or go somewhere, it's very easy because we're in the center of the island and everything is close by. Also, Maalaea Harbor is a terrfic spot to do things, such as take a boat ride to Molikini (which is the half-crater volcano seen from our lanai), go whale watching, go on a dinner cruise, or go scuba diving, etc. Overall, we love this condo because it's a perfect spot for a vacation. Frank provided wonderful information..from driving dirctions to detailed steps on how to work everything in the condo...very helpful!!!
We came to Maui for our son's wedding at the Grand Wailea..however spent the week exploring every inch of Maui. So nice that whatever direction we were planning for that day was only a short drive...so glad we were not stuck at one end of the island. Thank you for a perfect trip...value,comfort,cleanliness, checkin,location and service...all 5's...

Thanks so much....that's exactly how we feel about it. We've made so many improvements in the past 3 years to encourage our guests to return. And, they do return! Over 50% of our bookings each year are returning guests. One of our guests who has returned for 70 nights every year for the past 15 years finally bought a condo right above us!! That's how terrific the location and layout of this condo is. Close to everything, but open and beautiful to be in. We have a local managment company that keeps an eye on it and a terrific cleaning crew. Our handyman visits it regularly to fix broken items as soon as we hear about them. We've been renting this condo for 19 years and we understand what our guests expect. Aloha!

Like they say...location,location,location! And this condo has it!!! We intended to stay once but we have now stayed for a whole month 4 years in a row and we have no intention of stopping. All you have to do is step through the door to this condo and you know you have reserved a winner. You can see the ocean up close from the kitchen,the living area and the bedroom! Falling asleep each night to the rhythmic waves and the fresh ocean air has you ready for another fantastic day on Maui. I must say it is also the sunniest area on Maui. We love to explore the island and where ever we choose to go that day...it is very convenient to get to from the condo. We constantly say to ourselves what a pain it would be to go to the rest of the island if we had to drive all the way from one end or the other! We have found our favorite beach is the one just at the end of the street...and its 5 miles long. It is easy to find yourself a private spot on the beach to sun or to swim,snorkel and boogie board! One of the newest ziplines.."Flyin hawaaiaan" is only 10 mins away and don't miss it...it is a bit expensive but worth every penny and you are also help save the Maui mountains.
We were hesitant the first year we booked the condo but are worries were unfounded. You have everything you need here! A well stocked kitchen, comfy chairs with a view of the ocean or the television at night.Plus restaurants and a pub to walk to when you don't want to cook. Beach Bums is a favorite of ours with a relaxed atmosphere (no dressing up needed) and fantastic food.Last but not least...if you don't feel like going anywhere at all...sitting on the lanai or out front of the condo on the lounge chairs is absolute perfection!If you have any questions or concerns the condo owners are great to work with. Mahalo Frank and Brian! Maybe some day we can come twice a year and spend some time there in summer too. :)

Aloha Lynn and Ken: Thanks for the terrfic review. That's just how Brian and I feel everytime we return to stay. Why stay anywhere else? We are however, continuing to make improvements. This March, all the drapes will be replaced, and in April the old tub and shower are being removed for a new modern shower with glass blocks and all new tile. Centrally located on the beautiful island of Maui allowing easy access to all points of interest and beauty that Maui has to offer. Maalaea Harbor is the origin for all water activities as well as a haven for experiencing whale activity right from the lanai.
Our stay in #107 has been nothing but pleasant with a view as none other. A surround view of the ocean and haleakala can be seen from the living room as well as the bedroom. The sunrise is a sight to behold! One of the best restaurants on Maui is located in this building. #107 is equipped for your enjoyment and comfort with an open communication between the owner and guests to make your stay a memorable one. Thanks Dale for the nice review. We've been upgrading the condo constantly in the past 15 years. Two years ago, we tiled the entire floor. Last year, we replaced most of the furniture in the livingroom and bedroom. This year we're replacing the old drapes and replacing the tub and shower with upgrades. It's hard getting things done in Maui, but we want our guests to have an excellent experience. The most fantastic part of our condo is the 25% larger than the typical 1-bedroom-size coupled with a terrific floorplan that opens up the condo to 25 feet of windows overlooking Maalaea Bay with Haleakala volcano in the background. Having the sights and sounds of the ocean so close along with the terrific location of the condo (both in the condo complex and on the island itself), makes for a wonderful and romantic vacation. This was a return visit for us to this condo and as expected, it was a wonderful "home away from home" for our month on Maui. Since we were last here numerous upgrades/updates have been made which made our stay that much easier/convenient.
Listening to the ocean waves and experiencing the breezes was something we will miss now that we are back home (into the colder winter weather). The lanai overlooking the water where the turtles bob each morning will be missed...it's great to sit & have coffee here in the morning or later in the day, a glass of wine. Inside the condo you have all the comforts of home, refrig w/ ice maker, Tv's, VCR, DVR, stereo & a washer & dryer. Nothing lacking in this unit.
The location is central to mostly everything to do on Maui. Several restaurants close by all with great food. We can't wait to make plans for our return visit. -

This place is the best condo if you want to hear the waves lapping on shore. So peaceful at night to listen to. the view is also the greatest. The turtles in the morning are a added bonus. I loved no having to bring so many clothes, with a washer and dryer it was a breeze. This condo is also in the best place to get anywhere on the Island. I can't wait for the day I can go back !! You won't be sorry renting is condo.

This condo is a true gem! I had never stayed so close to the water ever before - and we go for oceanfront vacations each year. My husband and I fell asleep and awoke to the sound of the waves each morning and night. The views are simply gorgeous - looking not only at the ocean, but at mountains too. The breeze is beautiful, the area is quiet and the condo is well furnished. It was so refreshing we didn't turn on the TV once in the whole week we were there! We have loved every second of it, and intend to go back. After looking at our photos, 3 of our friends are also thinking about it.

Thanks so much for this wonderful view. When Brian and I first walked into this condo in 1988, we felt the same way. So much so in fact, that we purchased it 5 years later after renting it one more time. What we really love about this condo, is the open floor plan with the spectacular view. Most 1-bedroom condos are not located on the corner of a building with oceanfront views from both the livingroom and bedroom. There is a true sense of remoteness and getting away from it all in this wonderful setting with a knock out view of the water and the volcano. But the condo is also close to lots of entertainment and activities. It's nice to be close to eveything and yet feel so quiet and remote. Mahalo and aloha, Frank

We enjoyed our stay at this condo immensely. It's clean, quiet and well equipped. The location is peaceful and has a wonderful view. The owners are terrific and easy to communicate with. This is our second time staying at this condo and we shall certainly check if this place is available the next time we visit Maui. We would, without hesitation recommend this condo to others. Maalaea is centrally located on Maui and traveling to any of the attractions/activities is easy.

From the moment we walked in the door and saw the beautiful ocean view we were amazed! Just what we needed and wanted. We were in paradise! We loved the location, the spacious nicely arranged condo, the view, the pool, the Bbq's, and the nearby restaurants and beaches.
The unit is amazing, comfortable king size bed, beautifully decorated. The kitchen was fully updated, amazing inside with all kinds of cooking utensils you could imagine ever needing while there.
If you are looking for a magnificent place to stay in Maui, look no further! I would come back to this condo in a heartbeat. Thank you Frank for sharing your beautiful Hawaiian place with us!
