We have stayed at the Surf Song Resort many times and have enjoyed it every time. We have stayed in efficiency's, one bedroom and 2 bedrooms condo at the Surf Song and they have been recently updated and are very nice. We love the location since we fly into Tampa and the drive is to long to Madeira Beach. Lots of shopping and restaurants right across the street along with boating, sailing, and hang gliding too! The beach is always a favorite of ours and we do love sitting and walking on the beach which is beautiful!

We Love Surf Song.. We stay here the 1st time in 2006 on our Honey moon... Then we came back in 2008 again in 2012 and now we will return in 2013... Only because it is quaint, clean, friendly and we fell i love with u guys and will return for years to come... Thank you for staying the same year to year... We love you jennifer and terry seiber:)

My son and I had a nice relaxing stay at the Surf Song. I want to start off with the positive. We were happy with the close proximity of the beach. I mean, it is right there. You don't have a long hot walk through the sand to get to the beach. The Surf Song even has air mattresses, noodles, pails/shovel, sand chairs, etc. that you can take down to the beach. No need to buy stuff for the beach, but you are not allowed to use any of those items in the pool because of the sand...The Surf Song is right across the street from John's Pass, which has restaurants, shops, coffee, etc..most shops are open by 10:00am and addicted to the Bean (coffee shop) is open at 8am. We did not have a rental car, so there was not grocery shopping within walking distance, however you can take a trolley for a couple of bucks, which runs every half hour. This way you can stock your refrigerator and get some coffee for the coffeemaker and save some money. John's Pass is not cheap in the way restaurants go. Please keep that in mind. Now, the problems we encountered were in our last night of stay, which was a Thursday evening. Since #116 is located right by the pool, we had a lot of noise! The pool is supposed to be closed at 9:30pm, which is clearly marked on the gate of the pool. Nobody locks the gate, so it is up to people to show courtesy to others by following the rules. There were children screaming and running around while some lady was taking pictures of the kids. It was 10:00pm and my son and I were tired. It was so loud that we couldn't even hear the TV. There was nobody to call and complain to. I finally had to go out and tell the lady that the pool was closed and she basically acted oblivious. She took her party to an area outside the pool and the noise continued. You could still hear the same loudness from the unit. Then the group started shooting off firecrackers. We just had to get through it. We let Management know about it the next morning when we were checking out. I just want people to know that if you like to turn in a little early and like it quiet, please consider that the pool closes at 9:30pm and that not all people adhere to this rule. Other than that, we did have a nice stay...Oh, and I must say that the mattress needs replacing...I actually felt the boards underneath:( And for some reason, I could not get cell phone coverage in the room. I had to go out in the courtyard or pool area to use my phone! No service at all inside the unit!

Surf Song does have many units that open up to or surround our patio area. Many people like this arrangement as it tends increase the social interactivity. We do have quiet hours starting at 11 p.m. and it sounds like your issues were at 10 p.m.
Additionally we distribute an info booklet at checkin with 5 emergency numbers and they are also posted on the office door for 24 hour assistance if needed. -

We love Surf Song and have been enjoying our stays for the past 20 some years. We have stayed in many rooms, from the 2 bedrooms to the hotel type rooms and we love all of them. Room 116 is terrific with the king size bed but it could you a bit of updating. The kitchen could use a little bit of more updating, or just even a few more items in the utensil part but overall we have always enjoyed that room. I don't think I've had a bad experience at Surf Song except for one year some of the families that own some of the condo's were quite loud but all in all we had a super terrific time. We love the fact that it is in walking distance to John's Pass and to Latitude's. I'm sure we will be enjoying our stays this year and in the many years to come.

Wonderful family environment. Love the easy access to the John's Pass Boardwalk shops and restaraunts. Large white sandy beach for family activities.
This unit is perfect for Singles, Couples or Small families. Management staff is personable and very helpful. -

The beach, pool, atmosphere, John's Pass were all excellent. You can't ask for a better place for a better price. The resort is old, but it is clean and the staff is exceptional. I've been there twice and can't wait to go back. The location is perfect. Its within walking distance to restaurants and fun. Wish I were there right now.

We were impressed with the bright clean accomodations. The room overlooks the pool, beach and Gulf of Mexico. The complex is a quiet, family oriented place to stay and relax. It is just a short walk from John's Pass, with many little shops and restaurants within walking distance.
We recommend this place for anyone looking for a quiet spot to soak up the sun and relax.

We have stayed 3 times at the Surf Song. It is very clean and comfortable. The beach is right there and the sunsets are beautiful. It's a great deal too. The staff are extremely helpful and courteous.

I was unhappy with several things but was never contacted by your staff. This is where we spent our HoneyMoon in 2006. This is our 2nd stay, also we got the same room as 06. We love this place because it is peaceful. We go down set chairs up at 7:00 am and bring them in around 8:00. U can leave u're stuff on beach and no-one bothers it WE LOVE That. We also take our chairs down around 7:00 am to drink coffee and pick up shell!!We luv to watch every sunset
as it rolls over the ocean and disappears in the dark blue Sea. Surf Song is clean the Staff is nice always eger to help,....THe only complaint i have is they let the bug man come in and spray while we were gone...Did Not Like That At ALL.. We had wallets, pocket book cash medication...out That why we like surf song so well its u're place for 1-week with no nosey house cleaner looken at u"re stuff. But we will return next year if the creeks don't rise and God grants us our future that far away...
We love surf Song and there efficiency condo we recommend room. Thank U to all the Staff for all U do,
