Description from the owner

An ideal Homestay in Coorg- Amidst the lush green coffee plantations of Coorg, lies Silver Brook Estate, a mere 6 km drive from Madikeri. It is an idyllic setting for a peaceful getaway.

Nestled amidst vast plantations, a perennial stream flows through it. Pepper corn vines embrace the stately silver oak trees.

The beautiful evergreen forests of the western ghats emerge within the Estate along with the fresh air, the sounds of the jungle and the flowing stream. This promises a much needed respite from the ravages of today's world.

It was a wonderful and best vaccation I and my family ever had! It may seem my statement is too true. One should stay to experience and write that statement. I had been in the estate with my elderly parents, wife and two children and stayed in the suite for 4 days. It was a really a wonderful experience. My parents are very orthodox and i was worried whether they are going to complain. To my surprise my parents loved this place and wanted to come here every year.
Hats off to the host Mrs.Revathy and Mr.Yogesh. You never feel that you are in a strange place. The host makes you feel at home. They were too good to my folks as my parents were very demanding like asking for filter coffee early morning every day. We were feasted to freshly brewed coffee which we miss even now.
The Food is great and well balanced. Got to taste lot of local dishes.
The place where the estate is situated is simply superb. When we open the door of our suite we see the coffee plantation and misty moutains with the birds singing in the backgroubd . Just Like a movie location!
There are lot of Play area for children and lot of indoor games. Nice scenic garden with lot of flowers and nice lilly pond.
Those who love trekking, there is a lot to trek.
Last but not the least this place is one which my family would like to keep visiting year after year!
Thanks for the hosts for taking wonderful care of us.

Silver Brooke is a beautufully developed property. It is a perfect example of an ideal homestay with very receptive and hospitable staff members- be it Vishal Bharat or Monappa. Mrs.Revathi Yogesh was always there for any need, giving company for a chat, a chai or entertaining with her lovely songs. We surely look forward to visit the place again.

    Nice and Cozy

Left on 05/28/2011 for a stay in May 2011

The drive on a narrow four feet wide seemed neverending, though it actuall took us just 15 minutes or so reach Silver Brooks from the main road. The place was like a oasis in the desert. Cute and Cozy and gave ample proof of somebody having taken lot of pain and attention to minute details. Our host, Revathy's warm welome on our arrival, melted away all the tiredness of the journey and any misgivings we may have had of staying in the middle of a forest. Silver Brroks Estate has four rooms and a cottage. Opt for the cottage if you can. It's worht every bit extra money you pay, The rooms too are well furnished and comfortable. Every little gadget inclduing a coffee maker, mosquitto repellant, torch for emergency light and what have you have is all there.

We are all praise for the hostess, Ms,Revathy for the way the palce has been modelled, maintained and provided for. Plus ofcourse is her person attention to all the details and ensuring all her Guests are having a good stay.

Not as a complaint but as a personal preference I thought I missed a thing or two. My mind was conditioned to expect coffee smel wafting from the kitchen every morning, considering we werem staying in a coffee estate. The food was good and meant for general taste. I would have preferred a touch of Coorg and some punch in the spices. Anway my wife, Neeta and I loved the place, the whistling birds and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We spent two beautiful days at Silver Brook Estate. The place is beautifully designed by Revathi. All facilities are there in the rooms. We got so much individual attention and care. The food was delicious. The staff out there are very efficient and courteous. We used to take walks through the estate, sit in the garden, lie in hammocks and listen to the sound of nature. We even managed to spot a few birds of the western ghat with the help of our hostess. It is an ideal place to visit if you want to be get away from the hustle bustle of city life.We all need to recharge our batteries and rediscover ourselves by being in the lap of nature. You must visit Silver Brook Estate to experience all that we had.
