During my stay at Le Prielle Simon and Paulette were perfect hosts who went out of their way to make my stay welcoming. The ambience of the whole place is exceptional. A complete break for me from a very hectic/stressful working career. I recommend this as a "get away away from it all" holiday. Lovely surroundings for the energetic ones amongst us with plenty of walking, hiking, swimming, horse riding and for the not so energetic plenty of relaxation and, incidentally, the wines are exceptional! Highly recommended.
Ideal for celebrating those special occasions as well.
Well done Simon and Paulette who have worked very hard to over the last few years to make Le Prielle the holiday retreat that it is.

CrowboroughThe perfect Gite
Left on 03/31/2011 for a stay in June 2009
After years of caravanning the time had come to try something different for our holiday and the idea of staying in a Gite had appealed for a while.
So, once we had decided on the region we wanted to visit we set about finding suitable accommodation and very quickly decided that LePrielle, run by Simon and Paulette was the place for us.
As first time Gite users and being used to the freedom that a caravan offers we were over the moon as soon as we arrived and saw exactly what LePrielle had to offer, space! And lots of it.
Not only are all of the Gites very spacious but LePrielle offers room to breath, with its lovely courtyard, gardens, surrounding vineyards and beautiful nearby villages and towns.
The Gites offer every home comfort you could want, but most important for us had a very authentic 'French' feel to them thanks to the way that Paulette has furnished them. Having said that if the weather is kind then you would probably want to spend every minute outdoors, as we did, either relaxing in the courtyard, wandering around the gardens or relaxing by the fantastic pool which offers super views.
Simon and Paulette are terrific hosts who looked after us very well. They were able to recommend various places to visit, none if which disappointed.
Having done the journey to LePrielle in our two seater sports car and discovering the amazing driving roads in the area, plus the fact that you feel 110% safe at the Gite we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this as an ideal destination for car clubs wanting to visit this part of France.
We have now booked to go back again in May 2011, with 8 friends.

CoggeshallJust wonderful...

Simon and Paulette are the most welcoming hosts - nothing was too much trouble for them - their friendly, calm and relaxed approach underpinned our holiday.
Le Prielle is magnificent - it looks like a chateau! - Approaching the house through the gates you have the real sense of "arriving" and the Gites are fabulous - I still miss the woodburner, and the amazing bathroom...
The region is beautiful too - vineyards and wine tasting everywhere - and great restaurants just about wherever you go. Not sure where to go? Just ask Simon or Paulette - they are a fount of local knowledge.
I will be back - and I unhesitatingly recommed them the full five stars.
