Welcome to Son Shine Cabin conveniently located to hwy 421 just north of Madison, also Versailles, and Friendship IN. Cabin is located on 15 AC and offers peace and quite to its visitors with woods and small creek.The cabin has a fully furnished kitchen with gass grill on back deck.Cabin has 1800 sq ft. with 3 bedrooms all with queen size beds, one full bath upstairs with bed rooms and one half bath on main level. The main level has a great room with fire flace, Dining room with table for 6, Kitchen. There is a huge front porch with seating to watch wildlife. It is a short walk on trail to a beautiful creek to offer hours of fun for the kids....Madison has Clifty Falls State Park with pool and hiking, Versailles has State park with hiking, fishing,pool, paddel boats and beach.15 min from Friendship IN, home of the naional Muzzleloaders Association. Son Shine Cabin is in a rural farming area very sucluded and quite,with woods and small creek, lots of wildlife.Madison is a river town and has alot of shops and river front to enjoy and a lot of annual events it has Clifty State park with hiking trails, pool, Versailles has State park with covered Bridge,paddel boats, pool, beach, fishing. Just 15 min. from Friendship In, National Muzzleloaders Association, 41 mile to Creation Museum, they are now building Noah's Ark there now and a lot of other Biblical Themes

  I'm writing my review as I plan another visit to Sonshine Cabin.Life has gotten a little crazy. Our oldest attends Hanover College and lives on campus.I find myself needing to pull all of us back together for some family time.Sonshine Cabin is the best place,I know, to do just that!
  I happened upon Sonshine Cabin for our first stay. The owners are so kind,friendly and easy to work with. Making reservations was simple and fast.When we arrived we were met by Mrs. Michael and her daughter.They made us feel like we were visiting family.It was fascinating to hear her family's history in the home.It's nothing like checking into a generic hotel room. The house is beautiful! It was, by far, the cleanest place I've ever stayed.You can feel the love and attention to detail in every inch of the cabin.Within minutes,one of our children said "I could stay right here the whole trip.I don't even care if we do anything else." That's a big statement coming from a teenager!It provides great family space but also good privacy at the end of the day.The ammenities were endless. I honestly can't think of a single item they could have provided that wasn't already there.
  The best thing about Sonshine Cabin is the sense of renewed spirit we left with.Everyone was calm and stress free during our stay and it carried over after we left. We didn't miss our cellphones or computers.Honestly, the kids didn't miss them either.Not one complaint from anyone!When you find a getaway that can "unplug" teenagers you know it's fantastic! e spent time talking, hiking and enjoying the beautiful property.We played board games and watched movies (those were provided too).We cooked in the kitchen and grilled on the large patio just so we didn't have to leave the cabin.
  If I had to sum Sonshine Cabin up, in a short sentence, I'd say "It's home,only better" As for me and my family, we will continue to support this Christian establishment for many, many years to come.
