Description from the manager
The area is quiet but full of restaurants, tapas bars, theatres, shops, museums and cinemas and is well connected with the rest of the city with 5 different metro lines nearby. (lines 1, 2, 3, 5 and 10). It’s a great base to visit Madrid either for business or for a short break since it is central and very well connected with the rest of the city. The area where the flat is located is very lively with lots of bars with open air tables, restaurants, theatres, shops, museums and cinemas. Fuencarral market, a bustling, dynamic place that well deserves a visit, is a short walk away. Walk out the front door of the apartment building and you have...Read more

Austin, TexasNice place in a great location
Left on 12/02/2011 for a stay in September 2011
We had no trouble on our one week visit to Madrid. The apartment had everything we needed and was located on a quiet street very close to the action of Gran Via and Chueca. I would stay there again.

Maracaibo, VenezuelaThe best location ever
Left on 06/25/2011 for a stay in June 2011
The location of the apartment couldn't be better, you are exactly where everything happens, you can go walking to any touristic place in minutes. Across the building there is a small but tasteful bar called apolo, they have the best Mojitos I ever had, you have to try the Straberry Mojito and the Pasion Fruit Mojito. There are so many bars, restaurants and shops close to the apartment that your only problem is to pick where to go. The apartment was clean, the bed was confortable, there were enough towels and sheets. It was well equiped, refrigerator, microwave, dishes, glasses, fans, tv, stereo. We barely used all that because we ate out everyday. It is a small apartment, but really nice. The bathroom was small compared to what I'm used to, but in Europe bathrooms are small in general. The check in lady Begona, was really nice and helpful. The only thing I didn't like is that you are required to call from the airport in order to check in. There is not elevator and air conditioning, but this info is at the apartment description, I knew it in advanced, For me was ok to do the stairs everyday, three floors. In June the weather is really nice, so I didn't miss the air conditioning. I have always stayed in hotels, this is the first time I rent, and it was a great experience. If you are a Luxury minded traveller, I'm not sure about this apartment, in the us this apartment would be between 3 and 4 stars (more three than 4), in Europe 4.

IrelandNice, clean apartment, bad sound proofing
Left on 02/07/2011 for a stay in May 2010
This is a very nice, clean apartment in a decent location. Unfortunately, the sound proofing is non existent and it did sound like the neighbours (who were not particularly loud) were in the bedroom with us. It's a shame really, would recommend the apartment otherwise

Syracuse, NY USAGreat experience
Left on 12/16/2010 for a stay in November 2010
The apartment was in the heart of things yet still quiet. The apartment had everything needed. The representative handling our rental was very friendly and helpful. We had one minor issue with internet access which was resolved immediately, the service was great.

Covington, KY (USA)Cozy & Centrally Located
Left on 07/04/2010 for a stay in June 2010
We just got home from our stay at the Gran Via Chueca and our hostess, Begona, was more than accomodating! The apartment was spotless and furnished with everything you would need to stay a few days or a few weeks! Although it didn't have air conditioning, the fans furnished for us kept us at least comfortable. The location was great, close to the Gran Via, the Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, Plaza de Espana, city center, and the train station. Begona gave us maps of the areas and even called us a cab to take us to the airport the morning we left. I would say it is a great place for a couple or even a family of 4 because there is a bedroom and also a fold-down couch to sleep on. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it!
