A friend and I stayed here for 4 nights at the end of January/ beginning of February. The apartment is centrally located surrounded by shops and restaurants and a quick walk to Plaza Mayor.
The apartment looks like as it does in the pictures. It's in good condition and has ample supplies. All towels, linens, and some cleaning supplies are provided. It's location couldn't be more convenient. Very safe area and quiet area but still in the middle of everything. -

We loved everything about the apartment! Wished we could have stayed longer but know that we will definitely book here again! The people at Spain Select were great! The location was perfect in that it was off of a main street and in a quiet area. We walked or took the Metro everywhere and found it to be very easy to get around Madrid.

Rollo is a beautiful apartment in a perfect location. On the 4th floor, it is one of 16 apartments in a magnificent building. (it does have a very tiny lift) It is a 5 minute walk to amazing Tapas bars and shops and 10 minutes to the main shopping district and Sunday market. We stayed for one week in September with our adult daughter. The second bedroom is set up as a single bed with a trundle bed underneath for if a 4th person is staying. It was perfect for us but would not be as appropriate for two couples.
When we arrived we were delighted with everything the apartment offered - 2 beautiful bathrooms, gorgeous furniture, endless cupboard space, well supplied kitchen, super fast Internet, washing machine and clothes dryer.
The only negative was that it was rather hot up on the 4th floor and all air conditioners in the apartment block had to be turned off at 11pm - apparently the noise disturbs residents' sleep. (We could not open the windows properly because the windows opened inwards and the blinds were broken and unable to be pulled up) One floor fan was provided which was helpful.
Our only other complaint, no fault of the owners, was the rather noisy neighbours (a family with children living upstairs) - every step sounding like a loud thump -and it went on until 11:45pm every night right above the main bedroom, starting up again at 7:15am each morning.
Despite these issues, of 4 different apartments we rented throughout summer in Spain it was by far the best and I do recommend it. If you plan to party (and Madrid is a wonderful party!) the 11:45pm thumps and noises won't be a problem for you but I recommend ear plugs and a skimpy cool negligee for the summer months. -

Stayed at the Rollo apartment and booked through Spain Select. The apartment was just like the pictures and was in a perfect location to see all the major attractiond that a tourist would want to see while in Madrid. Everything was within walking distance of the apartment. Great place to stay.

My husband and I stayed in this apartment in March of 2011 with our two teenaged sons. I can't say enough good things about it. First of all, the photos do accurately represent the apartment. It is spotlessly clean and well decorated in a modern, minimalistic style. The location is perfect. Probably a five minute walk from the Plaza Mayor, and five minutes from the Palacio Real, in the austrias district. We felt very safe at all times of the day and night. Its on a pedestrian street, so its very quiet. Its about a minute's walk from the old city hall and a grocery store. Also about 2 minutes from the famous tapas bar street, whose name escapes me at the moment.
The people at Spain Select made the whole process so easy and were very accommodating. I can't say enough good things about this place or Spain Select- please feel free to contact me if you have any questions!
