This amazing loft offer the unique opportunity to reside in the historic building of Madrid's Plaza Mayor. Constructed in the early 17th century, and restored in 1790, the Plaza is the heart of the "old city" or referred as Austrian Madrid, and it is perhaps the most beautiful plaza in Spain. Within walking distance are both the Royal Theatre and the Royal Palace, as well as the charming, turn of the 20th century market of San Miguel. Turning in the other direction, guests will find popular Plaza de Santa Ana where they can sit at a terrace or just minutes away they will find themselves in the heart of Madrid's tapas district on Cava Baja.

The apartment is an amazing location in the middle of everything in Madrid. Close to the Metro, taxis, and the Plaza and with restaurants and the Mercado de San Miguel, and shopping all nearby.
The apartment has everything you need to feel comfortable and it is clean and brand new inside. The bed is so comfortable with great sheets. The bathroom has nice hot water and pressure.
The kitchen and living area is comfortable enough to have guests over.
The weather was amazing while I was there and by opening the doors there was a fresh breeze in the apartment. Heating and a/C is included. The apartment is not loud at all yet when you walk down there is an energy of the city happening.
Jose was responsive 100% and he answered any and all of my questions. The check in was flawless and the check out was easy by just leaving the keys in the flat.
I will stay again when I visit Madrid again in the future and highly recommend this apartment as a luxury option since it is so new and modern you will get more for your money here. Perfect as a romantic getaway or for a few friends.
Jose has done a thorough renovation job!

The loft is in an amazing location. You can literally walk everywhere. For location alone this is the place to stay. The loft itself is very minimal with super high ceilings and lots of light. Spacious and good closet space. It's nice to have a washer/dryer in the unit so you can come home with clean clothes! The only things you may want to consider are the walk-up (which is not bad if you are in shape), and the ladder to climb to the lofted bed. Don't drink too much sangria and try to climb up too quick :)
Jose is responsive and pleasant to deal with. There were no delays in my check in time.
Overall it was an awesome place and would definitely stay here again my next time in Madrid.

This loft was great! It is very clean and is exactly as pictured. Location is amazing! Everything you need is so close. There was even a 24h pharmacy open 2-3 blocks away on calle mayor which was an absolute life saver! I never needed to get on the metro, in my opinion, everything was within walking distance. The longest I walked was 15 min and I went everywhere on my itinerary. There was also a projector which is awesome for movie lovers like us. Being in this loft I didnt feel like a tourist. The building we were in was very quiet. This was my first time staying at an apartment with airbnb and it was great! I must I was nervous but everything worked out nicely. Jose is so kind and made us feel at ease. He checked up on us during our stay to make sure we were okay and didnt have any issues with the apartment. If I come back to Madrid I wouldn't stay anywhere else!

Absolutely beautiful place! Could not have been more central - and just the loveliest, warmest feeling to the apartment as well as feeling very spacious. We had a wonderful time staying, and the communication with Jose was great - his friend who let us in was very kind and helpful, we felt at home straight away and would love to stay again any time we are in Madrid. We stayed in this apartment for more than a week and had a fantastic experience. The location is unbeatable, right there at the Plaza Mayor beside great restaurants and shopping streets. The metro is a couple of minutes walk yet the airy loft is very quiet at night. Jose Luis is a wonderful host who will go out of his way to make your stay comfortable. Very highly recommended.

The loft is immaculately clean, stylishly furnished with a nice little kitchen and located 20 meters from Plaza Mayor. The amenities were great including wifi and a projection TV. I would absolutely recommend this loft and would stay there again. Jose Luis was waiting there to meet us and had some great recommendations for the area. The Mercado San Miquel is a 2 minute walk away.

Beautiful loft in the center of Madrid. All the comforts of home on the inside and Madrid right outside your door. As long as you don't mind stairs, this loft is as central as you could possibly be.

This apartment is really great! All equipment is new, the bed is very comfortable, modern kitchen and the windows are soundproofed. We spent a week here and it was perfect! The apartment is conveniently located in the center of Madrid and close to all major attractions and restaurants. And Jose, the owner is very friendly, helpful and attentive. In short, I recommend this apartment to everyone, you will not be disappointed :-))
