The building dates from XIX, and 2 BALCONIES provide natural light that invades the whole space. Views are probably among the most picturesque in Madrid: the baroque dome of San Andres Church, dating from XVII. Surrounded by enormous cypress and old rooftops, gives a true Mediterranean taste, specially at dusk and dawn.

The neighbourhood of La Latina is known as the Austrian or the Habsburg Madrid, it is the oldest part of town, the medieval and Renaissance Madrid. Its name comes from the Austrian Habsburg dynasty, which reigned in Spain until 1700 and to which belongs to the important kings Philip II and Carlos I. The zone incorporates the small streets around the Calle Mayor, the Plaza de la Villa, where you find the City Council, the plaza de la Paja and the Plaza Mayor.
This neighborhood has a charm that makes it a favorite of both tourists and the local people of Madrid. It is one of the neighbourhoods that provides the richest sense of authenticity and the real identity of Madrid. It is also surrounded, without the need for long journeys, with a long list of museums, cinemas, theaters and emblematic monuments where you can experience the culture of Madrid, both rich and varied.
From the Iglesia de San Francisco el Grande you can go all the way to the Carrera de San Francisco. The Plaza San Andrés is dominated by the dome of the chapel of San Isidro, which houses the museum of the same name. The museum shows much of the history of Madrid, from its beginnings as a fortress to its birth as a Muslim metropolis.
The street Cava Baja, close to here, has excellent restaurants, among them the renowned Lucio. In the Plaza de la Cebada, originally the local market, which was demolished in 1956 and rebuilt as we see it today. From there, look for the calle Almendro and the famous tavern with the same name. Not far away is Plaza de Cascorro, in the heart of the popular street there is a Sunday market held, the Rastro: the outdoor market well known throughout Spain, which takes place every Sunday.

La Latina apartment is exactly as you see it in the photos. It has real character with marble floor and wooden doors. I stayed there for one month and it really felt like my home in Madrid. It has all you need during the stay: nicely sized bedroom, modern bathroom, small, fully functional kitchen and a living room full of bright light overlooking a small square. La Latina is a vibrant district, full of people in the streets and bars. It's right in the centre of Madrid, close to all the major sights. Just round the corner there is the Latina metro stop as well as the Cebada market. The only negative point might be that it can get a bit noisy during the night because of the bars in the street but I had no problem at all sleeping.

This is a fantastic apartment in a great area. There are tons of restaurants, cafe and bars, plus the metro station right arond the corner. The apartment is very cute, perfect for a couple with great French balconies. I'd definitely stay here again!

Little Tuscany is really an excellent place to spend an unforgettable holiday in wonderful Madrid.
Its cozy decor, great location, friendly host and a lovely view, left us a very special memory.

Meyling and Jose Luis are an incredible hosts, their flat is beautiful with details that makes you feel at home. If I could, I would definitly move to this place.
If you want to know the real essence of Madrilean life, this is the right place. The neighborhood is plenty of bars, restaurants and in hot days you could enjoy sitting around an enjoy an amazing evening.

Meyling is an excellent hostess and I thoroughly enjoyed spending 4 weeks in this charming refurbished apartment in La Latina. The apt. is in the heart of the hippest part of Madrid and is very lively and colorful. I was traveling alone,but always felt safe in this neighborhood and there was always something interesting to see and do. The location is a little loud at night, but it's all part of being in the center of this wonderful city. The views are extraordinary.

Très bonne communication ! Nous avons trouvé l'appartement sans problème. Il est vraiment très bien situé au coeur de la Latina, un quartier très animé de Madrid. L'appartement, situé au 3ème étage avec une jolie vue, est très bien équipé : que du positif +++. Merci Meyling !

Super apartment in central La Latina area surrounded by excellent places to go out and eat and drink. The apartment is several floors up so you get a nice view over the rooftops. 5 mins walk from the nearest tube station.
