Newly refurbished apartment in the centre of Madrid. The flat comprises of 1 double bedroom, lounge dinner which has a comfortable sofa bed that accomodates 2 with balcony, kitchen & shower room. It's situated on the 3rd floor and is bright, quiet and comfy. There is no elevator. La Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, Reina Sofia museum & Atocha station are just 10 minutes walk away and the Retiro park and the Prado Museum are 15 minutes away. There are loads of bars, restaurants, taverns, shops, theatres & cinemas really near by and the underground station is just 2 minutes up the road. Very central, loads of great tapas bars & restaurants on the doorstep but in a quiet, residential side street, just 3 minutes walk to 2 Metro stations. You can walk just about everywhere of interest, the Prado museum is a 15 minute stroll away for example.

Richard is an amazing host! Very accommodating, friendly, and super helpful. His mission is to make your stay the best it can possibly be! I stayed here for about 3 weeks. The neighborhood is quiet, and there is not much foot traffic on this particular street. The best tapas restaurant in all of Madrid is on this street called aloque. That is reason enough to stay here, just to eat there each night! There is also an amazing market one street away where I would go for groceries and my morning coffee and croissant a la plancha. The corner cafe at St. Isabel and San Eugenio is also great for breakfast! Once I found these places, then I really started to enjoy the neighborhood. I would also walk to Retiro Park most days to enjoy the sun. Great place, clean, tiny bathroom with a small water heater.

This apartment was exactly what we wanted when we spent 3 days in Madrid with our 12 year old grandson. We walked everywhere we wanted to go and enjoyed the ethnic diversity and local flavor of the location. Richard,our host, was very attentive to our needs.
