THE SPACE
The studio is situated on the first floor of a modern, well-kept building that carefully respects tradition. The staircase banister is the original piece from the 18th century.
The bookshelf of “forgotten books” separates the lounge area from the bedroom. A comfortable sofa with geometric design contrasts with the curvy lines of the centre table, full of books, and with the red table designed by A.Medina.
The bedroom is fitted with a comfortable 135cm x 195cm bed, and all bed and bath linen are of high quality.

The Literary Quarter is famous for its literary history… but most of all for being in the heart of Madrid.
To the left of the Studio of Forgotten Books we find the Plaza de Santa Ana, Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor, with its animated bars, taverns, cafes and restaurants.
Walking all the way down Huertas street on the right hand side we arrive to Paseo del Prado with all the great museums of the Art Triangle (Prado, Thyssen and Reina SofĂa).
In these entertaining strolls one can see both peculiar traditional shops and attractive designer boutiques.
The Literary Quarter is a pedestrian area, so a car is not really needed. But if we bring one it can be left in the public parking of Plaza de Santa Anta or Plaza Jacinto Benavente which are a scarce 5 minute walk from the Studio of Forgotten Books, at a daily price of €27.
In the Puerta del Sol there is a central transport hub with several subway lines and local trains. The taxi and bus stops in this same plaza allow us to choose our desired form of transport.

The security deposit is to be left by credit card to the Estancias con Arte assistant who will welcome you to the apartment through a pre-authorization operation in which the amount will NOT be charged NOR retained on the credit card, but only made available in case it needs to be charged after check-out. This operation will be cancelled 48-72 hours after check-out. We advise all our clients to check with their bank prior to their arrival if their credit card allows operations of at least 300 €.

I stayed at "El studio de los livros olvidados" from July 12 to July 16 2011 for 5 nights during a trip to Madrid. The studio has perfect location, a walk distance from Plaza Santana, good bars and restaurants in surrounding area. Very comfortable bad and excellent shower! On the top of that decoration is just wonderful and you feel very "at home". The service offered by "Estancias con arte" was just perfect too! They have offered me a nice basket with lots of good stuff inside including a great Crianza Wine and JamĂłn Iberico! I definitely will come back and stay for more days! Highly recommended!
