Our famous harbor and town view sparkles like a jewel below Bella Vida's swimming pool, flagstone sun terrace and dramatic dining gazebo. This very conveniently-located home, secluded within lovely manicured gardens, is extremely well appointed and designer-furnished with wicker, elegant fabrics and accessories, and accented with native bluebit stonework and mementos from world travel.
Three spacious air-conditioned bedrooms with ensuite baths on two levels connected by an interior staircase are well laid out for maximum privacy for guests. Bella Vida's Great Room compri...ses two elegant living areas, a dining area, kitchen, a nook with a home office and the lanai. The Great Room and lanai separate two air-conditioned bedroom suites. On one side is a large suite which is furnished with two queen beds, and on the opposite side of the main floor is a king bedroom/bath suite, This home's second story is accessed by a sturdy spiral staircase, and contains the very-private second air-conditioned king bedroom suite and a large bath.
This gracious villa offers peace and tranquil seclusion behind an electronic gate in an exclusive area conveniently near town, duty-free shopping, restaurants and beaches. Just perfect for three couples or a family, you may dine alfresco in the cool gazebo by the pool and watch the harbor's pageantry below, improve your tan on the stone sun deck, or relax inside in one of the inviting living areas. Maison Veldkamp's coveted double view of Charlotte Amalie, the harbor, and the island's north side and down-island sea views will refresh your spirit. Watch the gaily-lighted cruise ships come and go from high on the hill, enjoy cooling breezes, and toast stunning sunsets during cocktail hour at this first-class residence.

A minimum 5-night rental is required from April 30-Nov 18 2011, Nov 16-Dec 16 2011, April 14-Nov 16 2012, Nov 24-Dec 14 2012; a minimum 7-night rental is required from Nov 19-Nov 25 2011, Jan 07-April 13 2012, and Nov 17-Nov 23 2012; and a minimum 10-night rental is required from Dec 17 2011-Jan 06 2012 and from Dec 15 2012-Jan 04 2013.
Rental Notes
PLEASE NOTE: there’s a new caretaker (a mature gentleman) in Bella Vida’s apartment (below the main villa), who is in charge of this villa’s maintenance and care. His apartment has its own entrance and does not overlook any part of Bella Vida, the pool or the outside terrace – the only time guests might see him is if they meet outside the villa’s garden gate in the parking area, coming or going. Guests’ privacy is assured at all times at Bella Vida.

Nowhere else in the Caribbean offers such a good vacation value as the US Virgins. Secluded beaches, national parks, duty-free shopping, kayaking, hiking, ecological tours, world-class SCUBA diving, sailing, sun bathing, fine dining and nightlife are some of the magical things you can do on your St. Thomas vacation. To get around, there are open-air cabs, also known as the "safaris". It costs one dollar and is the cheapest way to navigate the island. There are set routes that they follow. One passes by every drop-off location about every 5–10 minutes. Passenger and car ferry services to neighboring islands such as Water Island, St. John, St. Croix, and the British Virgin Islands run regularly out of the Red Hook Terminal, Charlotte Amalie, and Crown Bay Marina.
