Mound, MN.A mountain paradise...
Left on 04/28/2013 for a stay in April 2013
We arrived with an open mind and no expectations, and both of
us came away exhilarated and rested. The cabin is impeccable,
and the wrap-around deck gave us many views of the mountains
over our morning coffee. The night views of the jewel-like lights
of the mountain are superb.
There's so much to do, from wine-tasting at the Biltmore Estates,
to authentic bluegrass music, winding mountain roads revealing
showy wild flowers, or listening to the singing of the creek.
We will definitely be returning. -

35179A Very Comfortable Place to Visit
Left on 03/07/2012 for a stay in February 2012
This cabin is lovely. It is cozy, comfortable and seems nearly new. The previous reviews pretty much cover all of the wonderfully positive points so I won't repeat them. I will mention, though, that the gravel on the steep driveway was a bit tricky. Just keep this in mind if you have a vehicle that might not be able to handle it. If you plan on visiting during icy weather you might have some trouble. I slept in the first floor master bedroom and could hear my sons whispering in the bedroom above me. So, some parts of the cabin aren't so sound proof. The guests before us left their garbage under the sink and I guess housekeeping missed that. However, there are so many lovely and positive points about this place that those few items did not effect our visit and overall impression of this wonderful cabin. We would stay there again.

We have had over 100 people stay at our cabin and this is the first person to complain about the drive .We tell people coming in the winter to be prepaired for bad weather after all this is in the mountains and many of our guests are from florida and are not used to snowey conditions. The driveway is gravel but it is only 50 ft long.As far as the noise we can't be responsible for loud childern.

I stayed in this beautiful cabin with my three teenagers during the first week of January 2012. This place is really nice. Its not just an average rental. The owners have put obvious love and attention into this place, we felt honored to be staying in their cabin. And, we were lucky enough to meet Mr Fraser and he is a true gentlemen who is very interested in providing a fantastic experience. This is one super couple that knows how to make you feel welcome. The place is located just a few miles away from skiing, great location!! We love this cabin!!!

We had a wonderful time. The cabin was very clean and just as beautiful if not more than what the pictures show. Great location, close to many restaurants on Soco rd. Very close to Cataloochie Ski resort and not very far from Cherokee Casino,Mingo falls, and Sylva NC. Defintely recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay around Maggie Valley.

This cabin was great - very spacious and well equipped for the out-of-towner. The wrap around porch was my favorite place because it was very relaxing to sit in the rocking chairs and listen to the birds while drinking my cup of tea.

Elizabethtown, KYRelaxation away from home.
Left on 06/22/2010 for a stay in June 2010
Our family was able to stay in Tall Trees for a week. The cabin is as beautiful as the picture. The rooms are so tastefully decorated in mountain/bear themes. The kitchen is beautiful, having a washer and dryer is so convenient on vacation. We were close to everything...Asheville, Chimney Rock, Pisgah, Nantahala for zip lining and white water rafting. It was a great location and not in a crowded place. Sit and relax on the deck.

MinnesotaTotal Serenity...at one with nature
Left on 06/06/2010 for a stay in September 2009
Immersed in the mountains and woods, we felt the world slow for a few days. The log interior brought nature indoors. The air is indescribable, sweet, clean and full. The home was impeccably clean, with all the amenities we needed. Definitely worth the trip from Minnesota.

Birchwood, Mn.Exceptional experience.
Left on 06/01/2010 for a stay in April 2009
From arrival through check out we felt as if we were special invited guests. We have stayed in rental time shares over much of North america and Europe over the years and this is ranked as tied for the best with another unit. It is more than just the unit ...it's the care and concern of the the owners and their staff. It's solitude and view is sensational and we would recommend it without hesitation.
