This was a wonderful escape from all the busyness of normal life. Pretty fall colors, camp fires with some wine, and the hot tub to top off the night. The cabin was clean and comfy. Very relaxing!

From our home in South Florida, this was such a peacefull and tranquill environment. The cabin so comfortable with all amenities, cooking and grilling such fun, like playing house.Comfortable beds and sofas, nice baths, great Tv's, great Heating system, terrific and easy fireplace. Its got it all.We went to see the leaves changing and all views were amazing. We watched them change colors daily and then gently float to the ground. The town of Maggie Valley , people so friendly and so picturesque, We got fresh Cider from the The Old Grey Mare! Elk crossing was the perfect get away, But Boo Who-we did not see an Elk...

The beautiful sounds of the fall nearby, the ballet of the humming birds drinking syrup, this chalet is cozily tucked into the woods. We appreciated the cleanliness of the place. Everything was in place to guarantee a wonderful retreat for a few days. Although we experienced a few rainy days, we did enjoy our stay. The leaves were just starting to turn into vibrant colors. This cabin is only 30 minutes away from asheville and 15 minutes from the quaint Waynesville. Great location.

Stayed for a week with my husband and two teenagers and we had a wonderful time. As other reviewers have said, this cabin is well stocked with everything you need to have an enjoyable stay. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We will definitely stay in this cabin again if we make it back to Maggie Valley.

We had an awesome time at Elk Crossing! The cabin was so cozy, and had everything we needed for the week. We loved sitting in the rockers on the porch just listening to the distant stream, and watching the hummingbirds and other birds visit all the feeders. Kids played in the stream for hours in search of crawfish and salamanders(they even caught a few which I promptly made them release...yuck!). Took a trail ride to the top of a mountain at Queen's Farm Riding Stables, Hiked Devil's Courthouse on the Blue Ridge Pkwy, and tubed down the Oconaluftee in Cherokee. Location is ideal to Maggie Valley, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and Cherokee. Thanks! It was a vacation we won't soon forget!

We stay in Maggie Valley for three nights. When we walked into the cabin it was clean and you just felt like you were at home. It was well equip with everything that you needed. I didn't want to leave to do anything but sit on the porch and listen to the steam. I would rent this cabin again.

This is a great place to unwind while sitting in a rocking chair on the front porch listening to the nearby creek. With a little menu planning, it would be very easy to stay in the cabin for the entire week and never leave the mountain - full kitchen, full laundry, great bed and bath amenities, fireplace, and, of course, the hot tub (awesome at night under the stars). If you need a shopping or restaurant fix, Maggie Valley is literally 10 minutes away. Add 10 more minutes and you are in Waynesville. If you need serious entertainment, check out Harrods Casino for scheduled acts in Cherokee. We just wished we could have stayed longer!
