Two good friends and two beautiful dogs spent almost a week at this neat cabin. Coming up from the heat of Florida, the cool mountain air was just fantastic. The cabin was well equipped, clean and provided a wonderful place for dogs and humans alike. We could tell they tried to provide for all needs. The views of the clouds on the mountains were ever changing, calming the soul. The location about a mile from the Blue Ridge Parkway was convenient to our side trips, providing astounding overlooks along the way. The road up to the cabin was a little scary the first time since we came in at night, but thanks to Jim's great directions, we had no problems. All in all, the cabin was a great experience at a wonderfully inexpensive price. Wish we were there right now rather than in this humid heat.

CharlotteAwesome view and a cozy cottage with everthing you would need
Left on 06/08/2013 for a stay in May 2013
We have rented at the beach many times but not in Maggie Valley. We loved this cozy cottage. It has everthing you would need including spices, sugar, coffee filters etc. No need to bring all the extras. Our dog Juno enjoyed the company of Jim's dogs and our walks right there from our cabin are fabulous. We only wish we could have stayed longer. You actually have a view that overlooks the Blue Ridge Pkwy from the porch and jacuzzi. We will stay here again. Waynesville was a pleasant surprise and so were the awesome restaurants in the area. We went exploring waterfalls and brought our own picnic and it was a fabulous way to spend the day.

Denver, NCBeautiful Mountain Getaway Cabin!
Left on 05/27/2013 for a stay in May 2013
Very nice cabin. Clean, well maintained, every thing in working order including a very nice gas grill which looked closed to brand new. No hidden surprises at this property. I trailered my motorcycle here to do day trips with my wife. The end of the driveway is tight for someone not great at backing a trailer well, like my self, but it was doable as Jim had told me in advance. As for the mile or so of gravel road getting in and out of the property, its well maintained and graded with minimal rutting and washboard. Any street bike, two up and loaded should be able to safely negotiate the road if you've had any experience on gravel roads. Really enjoyed the hot tub at the end of a days riding. Overall a great experience staying here and plan on returning in the future.

This cabin has incredible views. With the big front windows you can enjoy the view from inside the comfortable den, or from outside on the deck or from the hot tub. The cabin is clean and well maintained. It is well stocked and has everything you could need, from a picnic basket, to binoculars, to even a pair of pliers. It is in a great location with close proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The one downside I experienced was the access road. The gravel road leading to the cabin was not ideal for my motorcycle. No issue with the road for our family car, and it was not a four wheel drive. Overall the cabin was a great place to stay.

While no gravel road is ideal for a motorcycle our roads are very well maintained and not very steep. We have had many groups of bikers happy with the short distance to the paved road and extremely pleased with being able to jump on the Blue Ridge Parkway just a mile away.

St AugustineLovely Cozy Cabin
Left on 05/06/2013 for a stay in May 2013
My wife, our 10 month old baby, and my wife's parents spent 4 days and nights in this well-equipped cabin that is nestled in the trees on the side of a mountain. The location was perfect for us -- close to the National Park and Waynesville/Asheville. Our routine was to hike in the morning, head to one of the quaint small towns for lunch, and return to the cabin in the afternoon for the hot tub. The view is lovely, and it was a pleasure to spend time with family in this cozy, well maintained, mountain cabin.

Lafayette, LouisianaA Wonderful Week in the Mountains
Left on 04/29/2013 for a stay in April 2013
We had never been on a mountain vacation and coming from deep south Louisiana, we could only dream of beautiful mountain surroundings accompanied by a week of relaxation and of exploring. We were not in the least bit disappointed. This cabin was beautifully perched on the side of the mountain with breath taking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It was far enough out of the town Maggie Valley to be secluded but close enough to run into town for groceries or whatever you needed. It was the perfect location for us. The cabin was comfortable, had all the amenities you could ask for and even had a large fenced in area for our pet to spend time outside unattended. It was very clean and spacious, fully equipped with everything you could want and very welcoming. We even experienced the thrill of seeing some "Elk" very close to our vehicle that were grazing on the grass on the side of the road just outside the town of Maggie Valley. It was an amazingly beautiful view. We enjoyed our day trips around the valley and our evenings resting in the hot tub on the deck. This was truly a wonderful vacation place and we hated to leave it. We would definitely contact Jim again to rent this wonderful cabin. Thank you Jim, Lou, Smokey and Radar for a vacation to remember and one to look forward to again in the future.

Georgetown, KYWonderful getaway!
Left on 04/15/2013 for a stay in April 2013
Beautiful, quiet little cabin with a great view! It feels very out of the way and secluded but is also conveniently located for all kinds of fun. My husband and I hiked a mountain in Sylva, rode the Great Smokey Mountain Railway in Bryson City, went white water rafting on the Nantahala River, visited the little shops in downtown asheville and Waynesville, and toured the Biltmore estate, all without driving more than 45 minutes away from the cabin. Or if you're just looking to get away, the cabin is very comfortable and inviting, and the owners are very nice and accommodating. We came home feeling very refreshed. You can't go wrong staying here!

Left on 02/21/2013 for a stay in February 2013
This cabin was perfect! Beautifully appointed, very clean, and the view seemed to be custom-made to inspire rest and relaxation. During our stay, there was a wonderful snowstorm that blanketed everything we could see. The snow did make driving tricky, but encouraged us to stay close to the cabin, with the gas logs going, and occasionally run and jump in the hot tub. Leaving was the most difficult part of the entire trip!

We traveled to this cabin hoping for a relaxing family get-away. Our trip all that and more...Cabin is perfectly nestled between Maggie Valley and Cherokee, with easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway...Cabin was cozy and welcoming to our family of four plus our Yorkie. The views(especially from the hot tub) were absolutely beautiful and the 8 inches of snow was a pleasant surprise! You can find as much to do, or as little to do as you want! Jim(neighbor) is a perfect help, should you need anything! We hope to visit this adorable cabin again!

Sumter, SCWow! So Excited to Find You Here!
Left on 01/26/2013 for a stay in December 2012
We are so excited to see the cabin listed here! We stayed here a couple of times last year - the most recent visit over Christmas - and seeing it here, just reminded us how much we enjoyed every single visit. The cabin itself offered peace and beauty, as well as all the creature comforts of home away from home. We loved having coffee on the deck and watching the sun set over the valley while sitting around a cook fire or soaking away the day in the hot tub! The grandkids loved, loved playing and "camping out" in the loft. And even though they could not have brought more stuff from home, they loved playing with and exploring the treasures available to them. And Mr. Kerner, we remember well the care you took with details. The cabin was very clean, well stocked, and you made sure that we knew you were available if anything else was needed. As soon as we get our dates coordinated, you will be hearing from us!
