Sunrise is our most elevated villa, and therefore, arguably has the most spectacular views. It has 2 airconditioned double bedrooms en-suite, an open-plan kitchen and entertainment room, and a spacious veranda with a dining table, reclining furniture, and couches. Especially unique to Sunrise is the extreme elevation of the veranda, providing magnificent 180-degree perspective to gaze at sunrises and moonrises over the ocean, or even spot dolphin and schools of fish during the day. South Point Villas Cerf Island is situated on an elevated rocky promontory on the south-east coast of Cerf Island, directly opposite the small uninhabited island of Cache. Swimming and snorkeling in this area are safe with numerous secluded beaches nearby. Guests arrive at Mahe Airport, take a five minute taxi to The Wharf, followed by a 15 minute complementary ferry to reach the villas.

I stayed for two weeks in Sunrise Villa; an experience which I can only describe as pure paradise. We had a view overlooking the Indian Ocean, Il Cache (a protected marine natural habitat), and the mountainous main island Mahe, all from our cozy balcony. The bedroom is a refreshing crisp white for a breezy yet warm feel. The bathroom is bright and spacious with both a bath and shower and two sinks - plenty of room to spread out. We enjoyed cooking most evenings in the wide open plan kitchen (which is fully equipped with all that you need to create any meal) with a spectacular view overlooking the marine reserve. We had a nice grassy area next to our villa where we could relax and tan on some lie back chairs. We adored our walk down to the marine park where we could stroll down the wooden ramp, enjoying the view, and picking the fruit Prune de France. The water was always a comfortable temperature, clear and quite calm. It is a protected area because a small, densely forested island gives a natural sheltered shallow area that you can swim in comfortably or just float along in floating chairs. You can snorkel just a few meters from the villa around a few boulder and coral heads that sit in the water and see the most colorful fish life. The water is teaming with sea life, but there is also plenty of wildlife to enjoy above water. You can even go kayaking to other nearby islands and pop in for a snorkel there. The staff is also very friendly and helpful with recommendations of activities, coordination of meals, and really anything we needed. Overall, we had an amazing experience in every way. We were able to relax and blissfully enjoy this private, tropical paradise thanks to South Point Villas. We highly recommend this villa and plan to visit again!
