Description from the owner
We are a simple beachfront efficiency apartment. We are in a very quiet beachfront gated communtiy.
Privacy is a top priority. There are only 9 homes on 28 lots. We are eco friendly completely off the grid.
We use solar energy (no hair dryers or other heavy electrical appliances). We offer beautiful beach, fantastic snorkelling. We are 20 minutes south of Mahahual on the coastal road. We are clean, comfortable and quaint beachfront. We are not luxury.

Additional Location Information
We are a very low density beach development approximately 6 miles south of the center of the Costa Maya. Summer months are wonderful for fishinig, diving and snorkelling or just lazing on the beach. There are several small family run restaurants nearby and downtown is just 20 minutes away. Daytrips to ancient Mayan ruins sites are easy as well.
We are directly on the beach just a few steps from your terrace steps.

I've stayed here several times over the past five years -- with my husband, with a girlfriend and on my own -- and always had a great experience. Casa Bali is only a few steps from the beach, and I make the most of it! I especially enjoy having my morning coffee on the porch, and taking the kayak for an easy paddle out to the reef for a snorkel. The fish and coral are plentiful and beautiful. The casa is located far enough from town that having a car is probably necessary (a cab can take you to Casa Bali but getting back into town via cab would be problematic). Still, the semi-remote location is a big part of its appeal for me ... although I admit I love having Internet access! The unit is designed so there's generally a nice breeze, and the fans work well. I like the fact that the casa is so environmentally friendly. I've checked out a number of hotels in town, and I don't think a single one can touch Casa Bali for value!

This place is the perfect getaway for me and my family. It is close enough to town that we drive in on occasion when we need to see other people. On the flip side we don“t really need to leave the house. It has everything we need to prepare basic meals and with the beach literally at your door step we very rarely need to get out. My wife and I had one of the nicest new years two years ago there. With the kids asleep we had a nice candlelight dinner and then we went outside and looked at the stars on the beach all within an earshot of the little ones in case they woke.

sometimes it's hard to organize and pack and plan a getaway from city life to completely disconnect and enjoy simplicity. this magical place is our favourite home away from home and because we can still connect online if we need to, it makes it the most perfect place for us. the kids wake early as usual and can simply open the door and go out to the beach to play. the amenities in the studio are perfect to prepare meals and the usual necessities. we don't lije to use a/c so this studio is great because if the ocean breeze. on occasion we like to jump in the car to go to town and connect with other families at the public beach and eat some shrimp tacos. and because the house uses rainwater and solar power we much prefer it over a hotel as our contribution to the planet.
