Housekeeping was inconsistent as to what was covered (sometimes they cleaned, sometimes not), but delivery of clean linens was consistent.
The condo itself, while a bit dated, was spacious and well laid out. At times, parking was tough to find. Also, there was substantive abuse of the rules for the tennis courts. People were booking up to 4 days in advance, and for more than 2 hours at a time for more than one court. Accordingly, we were somewhat frustrated in getting suitable court time.
The location was incredible,given sun exposure and the view, and it far outweighed shortfalls in any other area. -

The unit was fantatic, very classy and a huge unit right on its own private beach, we had an amazing time with all of the shops and golf courses nearby , will definately be staying there again !!

This 2 bedroom condo is well appointed and decorated with a large lenai that has a dining table that seats 6.
Daily maid service was through and friendly. Our family of 4 adults enjoyed our 14 day stay. Ali'i Resorts was helpful in every respect. -

We loved staying at Makena Surf the grounds are perfectly maintained as is the unit itself. The view was amazing, our favorite part walking the sunset on lanai and enjoying a mai tai every night!

Stayed at Makena Surf G-201 8/12-19. The pictures don't do it justice. Spectacular sunsets each day. Sensational snorkeling right off of the property (turtles galore, rays, coral, fish...). Grounds are well kept.
The best part of the unit is the view from the lanai - spent much of our time there looking at the ocean, Molikini and beyond. The condo itself is very comfortable, well appointed and daily maid service is nice. Just a short 5 minutes south of Wailea so not inconvenient, yet quieter than the bigger Wailea properties.
Rules around the pool seem a little silly, but we didn't spend much time there (not much of a view from the pool).
Would highly recommend it and hope to be back soon.

This was one of the best vacation rental property we had ever been in. The property and the unit (G-201)were "awesome". Very clean and well maintained. The view from the lanai was "awesome". Every one from the property maintenance crew and to the house keepers were fantastic. We will surely be back again. Thanks ali'i Resort for making it happen. My family and I really enjoyed our time here.

When we walked into our condo for the first time, we were bowled over. It's beautifully designed and decorated and has a fabulous view. Everything is top quality -- gorgeous granite countertops in the kitchen, nice furnishings, even tasteful art pieces. The entire condo appears to have been newly remodeled; the bathrooms have really nice showers, and the master bath is palatial, with a soaking tub and a huge shower with an overhead, large shower head as well as a wall mounted one. Very luxurious. The bed in the master is enormous and extremely comfortable. The second bedroom had twin beds both rooms were
tastefully decorated. We used the overhead fans in the bedrooms and living room/family room and opened the sliding glass doors to the beautiful lanai to catch the island breezes - never needed the ac. There were beach chairs in a teak storage bench on the front deck which we used when we went to the beach. Our condo looked out on the small, somewhat private beach where a lot of weddings take place and where the snorkeling is really good. I would rent this condo again in a heartbeat. Makena Surf is too notch - very well maintained, with fabulous grounds, friendly staff, a lovely pool and a fantastic location on the best beaches in Maui. Truly spectacular. -

We have stayed at Makena Surf before but never in this unit. It was very nice with a wonderful view! We liked the privacy of the lanai in this unit better than those on the 1st floor, actually. Only drawback would be that it didn't have a BBQ like the other we stayed in prior. That would have made it a little more convenient than walking down to the common area BBQ. All in all, a wonderful trip back to beautiful Makena Surf!

Overall this is a great property that is well managed. Nice location, I perfer the smaller beach. They have BBQ off the condos yet the people below us were Bbqing. That did not seem fair!

We were delighted with this condo - We had friends who rented another one in the complex - their view was very pretty, but the condition, space and amenities in ours was so much better. I loved the quiet, more private corner unit we were given. We had requested a grill for our porch, which was there on our arrival. We loved the green granite countertops in the kitchen and the sunny open living/dining room. If I could have had everything completely perfect, I would have liked to have rented a unit which had walk-out to the grassy areas one floor below us. They seemed very gracious and allowed a spot to sunbathe right outside the unit. Our check-in process was wonderful with Kai, who was very kind and patient with our many questions.

The apartment was gorgeous, the entire complex well maintained with beautiful gardens. Great location with fantastic snorkeling right in front of the buildings, plenty of turtles and fishes and corrals.
